Well that was a total non event. Its not even worth a review in the end - I've seen more intensity on the first day of pre-season training.

For the final quarter of the match Luton had zero strikers on the pitch.

Now for Operation Zulu Alpha in the play offs.
Really? For the last two months we've had zero strikers on the pitch.

I bet you wish for those days back?
Yes guess so.

We had a goal scorer , good midfield and defence .

Not outstanding apart from Ashley Young but strong experienced players .

Well here we go. Great acheivement. Great position as weve managed the team very well to arrive with only one real doubt in Woodrow, altho a several key players are not match fit. Think Clark and whoever gets the right CB slot are pivitol. Drameh and Daughty needs to be a threat when we go forward and controlled but hard in defense.

Its time for Eli to step up. Hes been OK all season- but hes better than OK. Be strong and brave and stop flailing around and loking like hes in Morris' shadow. He's never gonna get a refs call as he drops too easy for a big man, so fight for the ball and space. Think he needs a rocket up his arse and be what he was last season and he can be the key element.

Clark may not get the starting nod in the away leg, might look for the tenacity of Campbell.

The only 2 spots that are really up for debate are the ones you mention, Right Centre Half and the other midfield spot alongside Pelly and Nakamba. Everyone else picks themselves

Pros/cons to any of the options, probably depends on how Edwards reviews how Sunderland plays, foresees how the game plays out and what we want to do.

My personal view is that I’d have Burke over Osho. Feel like with the fluid nature of the Sunderland attacking threat we are going to need a centre half comfortable being pulled into awkward areas and when we have the ball ok to bring it forward into midfield and create an extra option wide to give the Sunderland dangerous wide player an awkward defensive situation to deal with so they can’t just go and exploit Drameh and his attacking nature. Think Burke is better at both, and in the former situation Osho can get a bit rash if beaten. Not saying one is better than the other, just a horses for courses situation.

Id Clark over Campbell too, bit more cultured with the ball, and I feel like he’s more tactically aware than Campbell in the sense Campbell can over commit in the press sometimes which can be benefit at times but don’t feel it is in this game.

Feel it’s a game where shape, and a well co-ordinated press are crucial. Sunderland can be extremely dangerous and can pass through teams very easily when given the opportunity from what I’ve seen recently. Can’t over commit in the press and can’t afford to turn the ball over when the fullbacks have advanced given Sunderland’s dangerous wide players
