Caught a fair bit of it on iFollow in the end, and from what I saw it was an awful game with no quality from either side, settled by a scruffy goal bobbling over the line. Gillingham probably offered the least attacking threat of any side I think I've ever seen, but we didn't exactly create anything ourselves.

Nice to grind a result out for a change though from a difficult watch.
Can’t argue with that, you guys deserved the points. We were that incredibly bad that we made Akinde look good.

Crawley are going to need work on those set pieces if they want to stay up

It takes skill, dedication and lots of work to be that shit.

The keeper kicked the ball directly into touch more times than we had shots at goal. Quote fro club captain George Francomb "We need to add some quality in January" , No shit Sherlock!

Now with the investment I can see Gillingham ( dependant on who they buy ) pulling out of this relegation scrap. I believe there are far worse teams down there with A) More problems within the club & B) Less money for new players. -- Mind you that Bar steward Ehmer deserves everything he gets.

Are we looking at a situation where Pools, Dale, Crawley, Newport are the more likely candidates?

Col U and Gills signing well but for the latter is Harris capable of the uptick needed? They are a bit adrift, not insurmountable, but a defeat against Pools at the weekend would surely be a big blow.

Crawley are basket case, Pools included but slightly lesser extent, Dale have no money but tying down Danny Lloyd is a big one for them. Newport seem to be standing still. Harrogate for my money have enough up top to get out of bother.

There always seems to be one club that has a bit of a nosedive around the end of January and throughout February as well.

Gillingham do have some cash to spend, and with the disparity of games played it’s hard to tell who will be in the bottom two.

I’m still looking at how Sutton can get to the mythical safe number of points before being totally relaxed for instance

We’ve signed one and three have left so far…

Crawley are in deep trouble.

Sold our top striker and keeper to a relegation rival (Nichols scored and assisted v Pools I see). Loaned last season top scorer to Colchester said three of our senior players have no further part to play at the club due to discoveries made during the Yems investigation and we're on the fourth manager of the season.

The latest gem is we have to clear the deadwood from our books before we sign anyone else. I'm presuming the deadwood are the players they signed to start up our non existent B team. Some of them (Moe Shubbar, Jaydon Davies) look like the could have a future but some will fall by the wayside. That's the nature of signing untried youngsters but using them as an excuse not to sign anyone is poor.

If we lose to Rochdale on Saturday I'm officially entering panic stations.

Think it will be 2 out of Crawley, Rochdale & Hartlepool. Although Newport may come into it. All the other clubs should be fine.

Sorry Rochdale and Hartlepool.

Wealthy owners only want to invest in soft southern fairy clubs now.

Another poor, frustrating transfer window for us. It’s all going to hinge on whether Charlie McNeill loaned from Man Utd can deliver upfront or not.

Bogle given up? Started well for us but soon looked disinterested.

Seems to follow a pattern at every club he’s at.
Undoubtedly a good player, just an utter lazy twat when the novelty of anew club wears off.

Yep, went down hill after Rowberry left, carries very little goal threat.

I’ve just had a look at the transfers brought in by the other clubs around the bottom of the table. I’m more than a little concerned. Everyone else has gone all out to get experienced players in. Aside from Charsley from Port Vale we are banking on three academy players to improve the team…

It's looking bleak for Rochdale, it has to be said.

10 points from 12 for us and we’re still second from bottom, shows how much most of the teams at the bottom have upped their game

We're still favourites to go down with Dale.

I still reckon it’s Crawley having seen you both in the last few weeks, they really didn’t try to do anything once they went 1-0 down today. Reminded me of us in the first half of the season

Have some faith Soup, if an 89th minute winner doesn’t get your dander up nothing will, it’s still way too soon to be worried about relegation, all those results today have just dragged more teams above into it, Crewe, Colchester even Grimsby aren’t a million miles away from it.
