The first two sentences allude to the fact that all pre season predictions in league 2 are basically wild guesses so describing one as ‘hysteria’ is ridiculous. And the owners however good they are can’t sign any players after August.

I don’t know why you keep bringing NCM into this, but I was on holiday when Macca left so I’ve no idea what anyone said about it and now am not really interested.

Yes there are lots of unknowns which is why I wouldn’t put much money on any prediction currently. There’s probably most value in putting a few quid on us to go down (25/1) but it’s not a hill I’d die on. The aforementioned Gab Sutton predicted us to win it last season and look how that went.

You’re quite entitled to your prediction and the reasons for it and I’m entitled to mine.

Couldn't agree more wild guesses due to so many unknowns.

I bet this Gab Sutton fella you've mentioned a couple of times made both those predictions with Langstaff at our disposal and of course didn't factor in Williams being poached mid season.

Another of those unknowns that perfectly illustrate why you can't take preseason predictions seriously and why the annual hysteria you see online during friendlies is amusing.

After all that it looks like we've come full circle and are in agreement.

Now that's what an upset football fan looks like :bg:

To Finnish above Barra this season it means you will be automatics.....so well done you guys we have a far superior squad and better balance than last season .....I’m telling you now, get 50p thrown on them.
Fair enough, I've very little knowledge of your squad. Just think you're going to miss Wild.

It did omit the sarcasm emoji I put on.....but in all honesty I’m personally optimistic for this season, more so than when sitting 3rd at Christmas time last season

It's no Carlisle BEEF, but they're new at it so give it time.
We're pretty reasonable on here. If we have a poor start watch our messageboard and X go nuclear.
Already calls for the manager and head of recruitment to go before the window's shut and a ball kicked.

Decided to aggregate where a number of the Twitter pundits think each team will finish this season. Some interesting swings and ranges between predictions for each team. Curious to see which of them will be closest to correct come the end of the season.

Bromley everyone seems to have put them in the ‘ah shit I forgot you were in the league so may as well put you somewhere round lower mid-table slot’. They’re my dark horse pick though and can see them having a similar season to when Sutton first came up to this league.

Does seem there’s a consensus everywhere really over MK as the big favourite. Not that it’s a particularly difficult call to make.

I’m surprised that so many of the Twitter pundits have Accrington doing badly. They beat us comfortably last game and had their management team, including Ged Brennan in place back then. Morecambe, with their financial issues and Newport and Barrow with changing management look more likely to find things difficult.
By contrast there seems to be a consensus of who’ll end up around the top.

A big factor in Bromley's season, for me, will be how well they make the transition from 3G pitch to grass pitch for half of their games. Absolutely no doubt that that won them several points a season, particularly in the wet months of the year as they just knew how to work the ball on there.

And what happens if their pitch starts churning up and they're left with a sand pit come 2025. Now, I don't think they play the most progressive style of football, but it will affect them I'm sure.

"I don't think they play the most progressive style"

Oh sweet young naive JJ, that is putting things mildly to say the least. Now that you've mentioned it, they'll probably churn up their grass on purpose and train on it all season to give them an edge.

Woodman will have people ensuring this happens, don’t you worry.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Bromley had one of the best home records over the season. Plastic pitch or not it’s a horrible, awkward little place to go.
