Time for an update here I think.

In League One, what seemed to be an interesting survival race has petered out somewhat. The current bottom 4 of Burton, Crawley, Cambridge and Shrewsbury seem to have left themselves too much to do. Shrewsbury for example would need 7 wins and a draw from their last 10 just to get to 50 points. Going to be a more balanced L2 with those 4 down as it adds 2 southern sides into the mix once again.

In the National League, Barnet keep grinding out the wins and look odds on favourites to win the title. Good chance whoever comes up through the play-offs is Northern though, unless Eastleigh or Southend can force their way into the play offs or FGR go up god forbid.

Will admit I’m far more interested in who is coming up than down. Does look like a pretty straightforward run to the title for Barnet. I’m ok with that in all honesty. Did see Gateshead posted on Twitter a couple of days ago confirmation they can now be accepted into the EFL. Weekender up in Newcastle wouldn’t be the worst though probably the nicest options geographically for us would be Oldham or Alty.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Hope it's not York. Can't be arsed having their fans be all over us on social media. No to Oldham. Not losing another nipple at their ground on a cold Tuesday night in November. Halifax? Do they still have that weird fan on here? No idea who I'd want to see up, to be honest. Maybe Alty for something different.

You will need someone to replace the Carlisle fans around your social media!

Mansfield have done exactly what we did in our first season and like us should just have enough to survive, issue for them like us will be next season as its a hard rut to get out of and that league takes no prisoners.

Bottom 4 looks pretty set, bottom 3 look dead and buried and form suggests they are done.

It's the age of the side and pace that's done for us - at least we know what's needed in the summer. I reckon we need to shed 10 players at least, especially in midfield where we're just sooooo slow. (if we stay up)

The issue is we could get away with it in L2 as it's much slower, this side would still be easily knocking around the playoffs, the quality of some players at the top clubs in L1 is scary and it's so much more cut-throat.

In fairness our winless run has been pretty scary and matches up with yours - that said we won out at home to Barnsley Saturday to get upto 44 (basically 45 with GD) massive with Burton winning also. With away games left at Rotherham, Huddersfield and Birmingham to come we needed that badly! I reckon 46 is probably the magic number.

Cambridge, Shrewsbury and Crawley are done, Burton are still alive but their run-in is horrendous.

Burton will get out of it. This is what they do, look dead and buried then spring to life to save themselves.

Barnet as good as back in the EFL now. Playoff race looks interesting at least.

Barrow look like the favourites at the moment, currently 14 points from the playoffs and 14 points from relegation.

Hows that stand coming on ? i loosely used to work in construction and that Sid Pepper guys insight is pretty interesting he seems an old school type who's trying to make something worse than bad into usable and restorative it's really interesting ; once he's done with that we need to commision him to an even larger project at Blundell Park .
