Away to the Barns, the sort of place we would lose at as they have a better squad than we do, although we go into the game with some good form under us.

A few players will be missing through injury and suspension, Dom Ball and Dan Happe will be big misses for us.

I'm still having nightmares from last season when Stephen Humphrys ran the game against us playing for Wigan and caused us no end of problems, never been so relieved to see a player subbed off injured, so would expect him to do similar.

We'll likely bring back Jack Currie and Ethan Galbraith too, this was the hardest fixture we've had in recent weeks on paper, so will need to be at full strength and hope Agyei and Kelman can turn up, a draw will be a good result for us here as we've struggled this season against the leagues better sides.

In our case we actually asked for the game to be brought forward a day to give extra recovery time before the Boxing Day game.
Can't imagine it makes that much difference when there's already 5 days between the games?

Home to Reading, a side who seem to score and concede in equal measure. Mind you, we're yet to see any goals in our midday games this season!

We're without CB's Jackson and Hamer but that's about it as far as we're aware. McKiernan's injury isn't as bad as initially feared so he could be on the bench but I'm not sure we'll risk him with Bayliss back around the squad. Walker is also back around the squad but like Bayliss, doesn't really have too many minutes under his belt.

I'd probably go with the side that started at Huddersfield, it seemed a click in the first half and until we ceded any attacking impetus with too defensive a substitutions.

We'll come slightly unstuck in either the Shrewsbury or Bolton games at CB because Montsma won't be able to play in all four Xmas/NY games, probably only two or three of them. Not sure what we'd do then unless we stick Jackson in a mask and risk him for a game.

Crawley away Monday night, i couldn't get a ticket for this one which is annoying.

I once again expect a tough encounter, hopefully Crawley play their normal way and try and take us on, should be a good watch with the eyes of the footballing world on us both.

We haven't won away in December since 2018 and have only done it twice since 2012, what a club. Don't expect tomorrow to be any different, another dire display from us should see either a Northampton win or a 0-0 draw

Stockport County.
Brum on a Monday night. I dont think we've played a Monday night since the old Town Mead days (if then) so it's something different.

I look at their side, then look at ours. Let's hope they really don't like Mondays!

Any Brum fans coming. We dont do segregation outside of the ground. The pub over the road accepts fans there's one a bit further away that does a decent pub curry and Redz bar at the back of the south stand normally let's away fans in.

Street parking nearby. Two big housing Estates but don't park in the sports centre..

We are a small club. There ain't a lot of room.

Casey
We played you on a Monday night at yours last season. Our game the midweek prior was moved to the Thursday night for SKY and you couldn't play on the Sunday because of Brighton's womens or youth team playing on your pitch, so was moved to the Monday.

Believe me, Crawley v Birmingham is not for the footballing world except for fans of both clubs.

Indeed not, plus it makes it fricking awful for Bolton fans (other than exiles who've sold out to live in the land of the Southern softies) intending to travel, but apparently Bolton agreed to it.

3-0 down at halftime to Huddersfield; scoreline is a bit harsh, probably deserve one goal,, but the Terriers are very, very slick.
Best team at the Abbey this season by a country mile…

Monk's tenure in a nutshell.

Feel like you've turned a corner and then a fresh serving of utter shite.

About ten players out tonight and a very weak bench but it didn’t matter we looked miles better than a really poor looking Cambridge team. Boxing Day v Stockport should be a belting atmosphere.

I see Rotherham hit some form and won the last two but really seem to struggle away.

We were good against Huddersfield and got nothing in our last home game, bang average against Charlton away and got a point.

It’s hard to predict with Mansfield at the minute, the only guarantee is we’ll miss chances and all cry for Lee Gregory to be back again. Oh and no Louie Reed for this one either, got a yellow card suspension after picking up one against Charlton, which definitely wasn’t one.

Oh that one when he got the ball? i remember.

Irrespective of the result, seeing that fat lump of lard waddle up the touch line should remind stags fans how lucky we are to have the manager we’ve got and not that thing.

Ground out a good result against a stubborn Peterborough side, definitely not a game that'll go down in the classics anthology though. Need to be much, much better if we're to get owt at Huddersfield.

Peterborough United diving and cheating all night. The money they have spent is frightening. You can see why their owner and manager are under huge pressure.

Very good win for us. 14 points with 25 games to go to get to the magic 50 mark.

Huddersfield up next. Another team that have vast sums with their American sugar daddies. I expect big things from them when you consider the figures involved.

Nah, we have brought in more money than we have spent under his ownership so far. Hopefully after January we can be labelled big spenders.

Big, big wages being spent at yours mate.

It's not quite Birmingham or Wrexham levels but it's up there. The results look they're following though, I think you might edge out Wycombe in the end to join Birmingham in the automatics. Wycombe are the best team I've seen this season by quite far but I can see them creaking with a few injuries, they've been lucky in that regard so far.

Fair point about the wage bill but as an ex championship club and one of the bigger clubs at this level it should be really, rather than us chucking money at it. It will be well off Birmingham based on the Alfie May saga in the summer but I’d be surprised if it’s not well above Wrexham but not followed their deals too closely.

Ferguson needs to leave and then be re-hired in a few months like usual. Languishing in mid-table with the quality they've got is criminal.

Unlike some of our fans I don’t think we played that badly last night, and certainly weren’t ‘poor’ on the night, just undone by a team, who by a country mile, were the best we have played all season. We just couldn’t cope with the way you sprayed the ball about from midfield and generally dictated play. The game could have been a little different if we had taken the chances we created in the first 10 minutes of each half, but we didn’t and you were worthy winners. Shout out to your fans who made a right old racket and travelled in good numbers and must be pleased with what they saw.

Spot on a fair reflection, good luck for rest of season , the parking advice was superb . Sorry about the Monk hate , it’s the Leeds connection and he was a little arrogant towards us back then. Enjoyed giving Kachunga the warm reception he deserves .

Knife through butter there, don't think we've scored a goal like that one all season.

How many do you want today?

Every week someone says some comments of how bad they are, but the have absolutely no idea that we’re fucking dog shit.

Every game 30% possession and we’ve had 3 shots in the last 5 games. Not even shots on target, shots ffs

Should Should out-of sight here.
1-0 up. Palmer missed a sitter. McClean hit the post. Cannon can roll mullin in for a easy finish but ended up crawling around on the floor instead somehow.
Most comfortable we've been away this season but only 1-0 and they can't be that bad 2nd half surely. Might regret missing this chances
