Left at 35. Charlton have waltzed through our defence with ease and haven’t had to play well in the slightest. Brushed aside with ease very regularly at the moment, and you can point to the players out and say the bench is full of kids etc but fuck me the starting XI are dreadful.

Can’t defend, can’t attack, new manager needed ASAP.

Even Danny Hylton scored. We will probably revert to type against Cambridge on Boxing Day

Brum on a Monday night. I dont think we've played a Monday night since the old Town Mead days (if then) so it's something different.

I look at their side, then look at ours. Let's hope they really don't like Mondays!

Any Brum fans coming. We dont do segregation outside of the ground. The pub over the road accepts fans there's one a bit further away that does a decent pub curry and Redz bar at the back of the south stand normally let's away fans in.

Street parking nearby. Two big housing Estates but don't park in the sports centre..

We are a small club. There ain't a lot of room.

Casey
We played on a Monday night on TV against Morecambe at the Broadfield Stadium - the game started in the sunshine, then rain finished off in a blizzard - we won with Welsh international John Robinson scoring on his debut for us

I thought we played well, especially by our standards. Burton were worse than that and we could barely muster up anything. We’ve averaged less than a goal a game though so concede 5 to us is very damning

Hmm we were that bad today anyone would have stuck a hatful past us but fair play.

And of course Mr Hylton scored. £4k a week for 2 years and didn’t get near a goal, fifteen minutes at Sixfields in a different kit and he bags one.

Apparently Wrexham flew in to Bristol airport today and requested a police escort back there immediately after the game.
Of course they were told to 'foxtrot oscar' by Avon & Somersets finest.
Cheeky bastards its only a 2.5 hr drive to Wrexham....probably takes that long to get from the Mem to Bristol airport anyway

If we played how we normally play it would have been an awful quality 0-0 today

Yeah just thinking of next week, of course we were going to beat Burton lol.

Haven't seen it, but Allis goal is an absolute peach.

Hope we can carry it through to Boxing Day, just hope you haven't got a manager by then

WTF Barnsley? Useless bastards.

Ha, you weren’t seriously thinking we were a team you can catch to get out of trouble, were you? We’ll be on the cusp of the playoffs by the end of January (and on the beach by March after another predictable spate of season-ending injuries).

Mansfield soooooo needed that win, and to do so against that fat c*** was a wonderful way to do so.

Quality wise the game was conference standard with a crazy wind throughout but we found the bit of quality to get the win.

Given the vast gulf in budgets wrexham and stockport had we were never expected to do what they’re doing but 28 points from 19 is a great return for christmas and any stags fan would’ve readily bit your hand off for that at the beginning of the season.

4 from 6 by the looks of it

The wind did ruin the game but oh boy Rotherham looked proper shite.

Not great ourselves but did enough to win it.

Second half we absolutely were one of the worst teams on the league. Utter dogs**t performance against the worst team I've seen this year. No idea why our away performances are so poor.
Well if we were the worst team you've seen -- You've certainly got problems. Wrexham were well on top over the first period and virtually dominated until the best player on the pitch went off ( Lee ) . In the second half you should have buried us . But without Elliot Lee you were not the same and in the last 15 minutes we definately wanted it more. Can also see why Mullins does not get as much game time nowadays. Loved it when you had just finished singing the " Sheep shaggers anthem " we scored -- Made my day and nearly made up for that Arfon Griffiths goal back in 74. Oh and McClean is a Twat.

Third in the table after back to back promotions. Big problems over at the Racecourse.

Parky hasn't been answering his phone all afternoon. Beverly Hills area code trying to ring him.

I can't believe how poor Reading were. Before the game I said I would be surprised if we kept a clean sheet. I thought they would be dodgy at the back, but attack with pace and cause us issues. They were absolutely woeful, worst team I've seen this season.

We started with right intention with pressing high up and scored a deserved goal. Reading offered nothing except for a potential pen that wasn't given. Their player was rightly sent off before the break, and second half carried on the same way, think we hit the post 3 times?

Reading had their first effort on goal after 92 mins. They travelled in very good numbers but they are in for a torrid 2nd half to the season if they carry on like that, did Knibbs even touch the ball all game?

We won't have an easier game this season, just what we needed before the Christmas rush.
I did start to wonder at 1-0, being in total control and having hit the post three times if we'd be sucker punched but Reading were no-where near it really were they, even with 11 men.

I was side on to the potential penalty incident (Co-op Stand) so couldn't tell if it was a coming together, shoulder to shoulder or he went down easily.

Nice to get a routine win at the beginning of the festive run of games.

Apparently Gregory was in one of the suites saying he will be back next week, I would give my left bollock for that to be true so we don’t have to watch a Akins/Evans combo upfront again.

Saw a stat earlier in the week. Just double checked it and that is our first December win in the league since Boxing Day 2020 when we beat Burton 5-1 (15 games without a win). Big relief!

An unexpected result, the conditions were poor but we played them better in the first half, especially scoring from two corners.

Ben Killip had a stinked in the Barnsley goal and so did both of their centre halfs.

No Luca Connell or Adam Phillips for them, which was a huge help.

We was clinical and played the conditions well, got the rub of the green a few times as well, on another day their only cross/shot in the first half goes in and its a different game.

Even Sonny Perkins scored with his only touch at the end after coming on, the luck has to run out eventually, but a very pleasing run of form recently, our squad have really come together in recent weeks.

Clarke must be under some pressure at Barnsley, they are very poor at home.

True, but the positive is that it highlights what we need and like now.

Were made not far of a million selling swan and DKD and whereas that’s great business it’s left us short - evans shouldn’t be left to lead the forward line and he’s not currently the ability and knowledge to lead the line - it emphasises the point of another experienced forward in the AM/forward role.

Other than that we’re solid and have performed well. add in 2/3 players either on loan or full time and we’ll happily consolidate this season which would be a wonderful achievement

Is there a difference in our budget compared to yours? You never mention it.

I'll be shocked if Bristol Rovers stay up. That 2nd half is the worst we've played this season yet we were still just minutes away from all 3 points.

Very poor couple of results undoing the good work that came before it. I fear for our chances against Blackpool, Wigan and Barnsley with our incapability to kill games.

It’s what sides compare us against somehow, so yeah it’s of course relevant.

I was concerned after the run we’ve been on but it’s a fabulous return so far, certainly need additions in the window though.

We'll have him back

I’m not sure what Barnsley expectations are, but you’ll imagine in and around the play-offs.

His biggest issue is home form, which is currently bottom 4, if that keeps up he cannot last.
