Macc have a double header of north east London away games this week with Orient tomorrow and Dagenham on Tuesday. We are in good form and have the advantage of not having had a cup replay to contend with last week. Realistically we need to win this one to keep top spot but I think it will be a close call whether we manage this or not.

Easy win for the Silkmen, we are not very good.

Pressure game for us, we HAVE to beat Solihull at home tomorrow. Anything less is abject failure having witnessed how poor Solihull were at Ossett on Tuesday.

Don't see us winning either game this week on current form.

A repeat of last years play-off semi at the Rec, looking forward to it. Both teams not started the season brilliantly but we've got Mensah back from injury which could be pivotal. Fancy us to win 2-0.

If we win the next 2 I might start to believe we can achieve something this season.

Macclesfield visit us for the first time in 12 years. They've only won here once which was back in August 2004 when Jon Parkin was at the top of his game. Last time out we won 2-1 thanks to a last minute Efe Echanomi goal after a dreadful last minute back pass.

We've looked better this week as we've been playing three at the back and deployed wing backs, which has resulted in two clean sheets and our first win for over a month, but this is now the league and not a cup game. Davis has to decide whether or not to stick with Michael Clark or bring back Mark Ellis at centre half.

10 of our 18 man squad on Tuesday consisted of players who have come through our youth team, some are good players, while others still have a long way to go.

We've lost our last 3 at home. Wouldn't suprise me if it becomes 4.

It'll probably be 0-0

Most of our fans on red passion seem to think we'll lose. Because we are awful apparently.

Great shout 0-0, worth a little bet. You've not lost in 10 league games, some fickle fans about!

With our excellent youth team players coming in and playing so well, I’m looking forward to Davis dropping them all and turning the side as slow as a dead sloth again.

Our defence is really solid to be fair.

Some of our fans haven't been paying attention for the last 10 years I think. We should be top of the league by a mile playing scintillation football because we are massive.

Should be looking at six points from the next two. Barrow and Torquay both at home.

Darren McQueen has been ruled out for the season, which leaves us with minimal attacking options. Danny Kedwell, Aaron McLean and Danny Mills to choose from with Anthony Cook and Antonio German who can both fill in up top.

No issues defensively though with 5 clean sheets in the last 7 games (2 conceded), Chris Bush has done excellent since coming in.

Nice to see Barrow brush up on their Geography too, apparently our games with East Thurrock were Essex derbies.

I assume he’s about 20 Stone now?

Two hard away games for us next up, would take a point from each.

Macclesfield visit us for the first time in 12 years. They've only won here once which was back in August 2004 when Jon Parkin was at the top of his game.

Wish we had Parkin this time around...Wouldnt quite say he was at the top of his game then, it was effectively the game that started him off! Him scoring a couple that day surprised pretty much everyone based on his few games at the end of the previous season, then he went on to score loads to get us to the playoffs.

Really? I thought every team was his kryptonite ;)

I fancy a cheeky win here...

This is especially true (except if you're Colchester or Coventry).

As a neutral though, this is gearing up to be the most exciting Conference season of all time. The league just seems to be on steroids this year bar a woeful bottom four...

Wedgbury is out ill apparently, but we start with a much better looking side than the one that played at Fylde with Pearson and Akil Wright back starting. Early season top of the flops Boden and Mackreth are back where they belong and Roberts replaces Hurst at right back.

Cautiously optimistic for a 0-0.

Hodgkiss injured for us is bad news. He's played the last 5 games and we've won them all, conceding just 1 goal.

Losing already, unsurprisingly. Playing the first half into the gale.
