I know it's a Mickey Mouse cup and I really shouldn't care, but I was gutted last night. My 12 year old actually cried - penalties will do that to you.

The result didn't spoil a great evening in Plymouth though. I come away really fond of the place afterwards.

This is the problem; usually bigger clubs get to the final bring large followings and its deemed a success again.

Wembley will always draw big crowds for rest though - even Sunderland and Portsmouth (85,021 in 2019) who you would think would be embarrassed just to be playing in the thing, both got hard for it

We need to be moving the ball faster here. Too slow in the build up especially now they have everyone behind the ball.

That looked pretty nasty that collision. Not sure why Trafford was that far out of his goal but look like he won the ball then they collided with their heads. They haven’t shown a replay.

Feel sorry for Accy, by the stats it looks like Bolton have been all over them and are rightly ahead - but now Accy have played an extra game and have racked up a suspension to a key player.

Feel sorry for Accy, by the stats it looks like Bolton have been all over them and are rightly ahead - but now Accy have played an extra game and have racked up a suspension to a key player.

We were comfortable for the majority of the game but made hard work of it by leaving it so late. We always struggle against teams that sit in against us. We played too slow for a lot of the game but thought we did more than enough to win it. Hit the bar and the post amongst other chances. Also we had a goal disallowed for offisde that looks on side on the replay. But doesn’t matter. We got through. Hopefully we can finally beat Plymouth as they are a bit of a bogey team in the last few seasons.

It’s not important unless you get to the final. Think it could give us a playoff advantage too if we can get to the playoff final (unless we face Plymouth in that final). Already having played at Wembley this season and several players won’t have played there before - they’d be less overawed with it. Need to get there first mind

Just had a look at the ticket sales for this. Before today tickets had only been available to members and season ticket holders. Plymouth fans could buy up to 6 tickets per member and Bolton up to 2per member, Bolton were ahead 28.000 to 26.000. But today when they have gone on general sale Plymouth have streaked ahead. So all the part time bandwagoner casual fans who probably can't name a player have come out in their droves at Plymouth. We won't have as many Wembley day trippers as them. The glory hunters in Bolton support Man United, they sit in the pubs at 3 o clock on a Saturday with a falling to pieces red shirt on with Sharp on the front. The last thing they would do would support their home town club.

none of them are travelling though the towns full of them.....We will have fans who are going but they are Bolton through and through
Fans who have been 20/30 games in the 25 years we have been in our stadium who vowed never to travel to the Reebok
Work commitments for a few....Family for others. What i guarantee is they are not Man Utd supporters...........30K plus as of today....Fucking brilliant effort
