Torquay v Barrow - should be a party atmosphere down there - Torquay are safe and Cox returns....
should be goals as both teams seem to have half their defences missing
some Barrow fans flew down from Manchester last night (it's a damn long way on a coach)....
edit - more flew down this morning...

Bet Torquay will be delighted to see Cox back, after he blew all their budget without leaving any contingency and left them on the verge of relegation, before their amazing escape.
Red carpet for him I would guess......

As we have nothing to play for, I'd like to think we'll just throw everything at Dover and at least get to see an entertaining 5-4 defeat.

I finally get a chance to watch Cheltenham today having been unable to get to the away fixture. Difficult to call this one, it depends how Cheltenham treat the match now that they are confirmed champions. Gate should be approaching 1900/2000 and I can see the result being a draw or a narrow away win.

We've still got 100 points to aim for and Holman will be chasing the Golden Boot but it really wouldn't surprise me if you beat us.

I'll be honest, I'm hopeful we might get something from this. I get the feeling Macc aren't just playing out the final games for the sake of it as there's contracts up for grabs in the close season. I'm not going to underestimate how good Cheltenham will be but it should be a nice day for everyone involved.

It's wierd, I enjoy non league football , the 'scene'. There is something enjoyable about it, but equally there isn't much fun watching your club getting smashed by a team supported by 5 guys and a dog. Or watch as some unknown bankrolled village team march up through the leagues as your ex-league team constantly fall short. You soon learn that past glories don't mean much.

So yeah, hope that Cov never get relegated down here but why not adopt a second team?

When I was a student I went to watch Coventry play Sheffield Wednesday at Highfield road back in 1998. Premier league!

I have followed non league for many years and go to quite a few games during the season when Cov are playing too far away for me to find the time to go and see them.

As for an adopted team I follow Brackley Town as I used to play for them in the eighties in their United Counties Days. I also follow Banbury United as I lived in a Village between the two most of my life ,and I used to go down to see them loads of times when I was a youngster, so I always check their scores Saturday evening.Banbury are having a fine season and my cousin is their chairman, the funniest kindest man I've ever known

More recently I go now and then to Diss Town in the Thurlow Nunn league as I live in the town and it's lovely to walk along and have a couple of pints and watch a game of footie.
It's a lovely way to counteract the stress and pain of supporting Cov.
I'm sure your great club will be back in the league sooner rather than later and no doubt one day you will be visiting the Ricoh for a league game.
Good luck to all to all the fans of teams on here

We are doing our bit for play-off shenanigans by losing 1-0...cottage pie was great though

So predictable. Woking's fans with "personality" get their twice in a season cheer.

HT 1-1 surprised by Dovers slow start today, not much between the teams at the moment. Weak referee is letting Sterling manhandle Whitfield every time the ball goes near him. He pushed and fell on top of him at a throw in and the muppet spoke to Whitfield. Fed up of incompetent refereeing now. Dread to think what next season will be like.

5 injury forced substitutions in the first half at TNL. 3 for F£R and two for Halifax.

We're apparently playing some kinda weird 3-2-1-1-2 formation, which gives us no-one in wide areas and exploits those at CB who have no pace (with Sparrow 'sitting' who also has no pace).

Steve McNulty had to be subbed off at half time because, surprise surprise, Eastleigh injured him with an apparent poke to the eyes. Embarrassment of a side and an affront to football.
