Ooh I'm happy the football is back!! Looking forward to seeing some of the new lads play, Beautyman/Gorre/Taylor etc and it'll be interesting to see how we set up. Still hoping a couple more players come in but think we've got a good chance of getting going with a win. Not sure what to expect from Fleetwood.

I am hoping that Uwe Rösler, in his first game in charge of Fleetwood, will get a draw with his team. (I had the faint hope that Uwe would become Wolves Manager but unfortunately only his "lookalike" Walter Zenga got the job)

Think we will get a 1-0 win. Expecting a scrappy game but will have just enough to get 3 points on the board.

If Pressley was still in charge then Northampton would definitely have won. With Rosler now in charge I think we'll get something out of the game. Probably a draw

Feel relatively confident about this game even though we have had a mixed pre season. Hoping Taylor starts despite just joining us. Assuming Revell will start over Rico as well which is a big decision. Page said he knows his starting XI currently although expects a few more signings before Saturday. Will go for a dull 1-0 win to get the season up and running.

Herr Rosler has 5 days to lick his squad together, Cobblers did fantastic last year and were at 'deaths door' with all the money problems but they have come through and can be well proud of their achievements
I think we have enough to dig out a hard fought draw 1-1 and get the season up and running

Happy to see Cobblers back in this league but will be very sad without Rob. He was the League One mod when I joined the old board back in 2007 at the tender age of 17 and I met him on a couple of occasions throughout the years. This forum won't be the same without him. RIP fella.

We were better first half and should have gone in 3 up at half time, but Fleetwood were better second half and both teams got a deserved point.

Taylor looks a cut above for us, Revell never stopped running and Beautyman looked good. Overall a solid start.

Agreed. We were better in the first half and they Fleetwood were better in the second half. Dont really like the Richards and Revell partnership up front, they are too similar. Definitely lacking that bit of pace and sharpness in attack at the moment. Taylor will be a class signing once he gets a few more games under his belt.
