We host Fatboy's Rovrum at home.

Having lost both opening games, it would be good to notch at least a point here - Rotherham have started more poorly than I thought they would, with only one point to their name so far, and neither of their games has been against one of the more fancied teams.

So although I looked at this fixture with trepidation initially, considering we have already had 2 tough opening games, I think we may be OK here, but time will tell.

Stockport County.
I imagine they've put us at 12:30 to cater for our following in the Far East.

I think this will be a really tough game. What I think we'll find in this league is we can be competitive but we really do have to be completely on it to get a result. The moment we take a breath because we think we've just had a great result or whatever, we'll get caught with a right hander.

Looked through Bristol Rovers' team, Conteh and Hutchinson were excellent League Two players last season for example. I'll go for a draw.

Orient away, looking to continue our steady start to the season, things are taking time to gel but unbeaten and would expect that to continue Saturday.

I fancy us to beat anyone at home at the moment, and Reading at home will be no different. Whether or not we do is a bit of unknown. Are Reading under a transfer embargo? I'm keeping my fingers crossed their takeover happens PDQ.

I think so. Worryingly the siege mentality they seem to have adopted is paying dividends.

I think you will probably do us on Sat, we havent been playing well albeit we played against 2 very physical and direct sides in Northampton and Rotherham.
Conteh is solid enough and will only improve, Hutchinson hasnt shown much but as Antony Evans proved, sometimes it takes a while to make the step up from L2 to L1.
Chris Martin and Ruel Sotiriou should be available again to help us going forward as we have been lacking in that department.
I dont know much about Stockport other than historically we dont usually do well up there, and I have relatives living in Hazel Grove. Barry looked a bit lightweight when I last saw him playing for Swindon but has obviously improved a lot!
Ill go 2-0 Stockport, out keeper cant save us all the time

Yeah I have a feeling we’ll get a bit of a comfortable loss actually, sending the forum into meltdown.

Really looking forward to seeing what we can (or can’t) do with Martin & Soririou in the mix. Would be happy for a point.

Any chances we can blame the pitch quality if we lose?

They need to get Jim Gannon back in some capacity before Saturday so we can have a pantomime villain and make it a bit more entertaining!

When I think of Bristol Rovers, it's the 2007 beef between Gannon and Paul Trollope. If my memory serves me right, we were on our record breaking run, you guys postponed for a waterlogged pitch despite the weather not being particularly bad and no other game off in the whole professional pyramid. We then played the re-arranged game when we weren't so hot, you were, you beat us and you then pipped up to a Play Off spot on the final day and went on to win at Wembley. You had Rickie Lambert in your side who as an ex player we used to give stick to and then he caught fire on his journey to the Premier League and got an England cap. Now he's a Conspiracy theory loon or something isn't he?

Good times.

Our pitch is an absolute carpet tbf and will be all season so no excuses for either side Saturday.

Looks like you're not far from selling out, fair play, daft kick off time aswell.

Your memory is spot on Sir - i think we could have got that game on, but were due to face Bristol City in midweek so gave ourselves and the pitch more time to prepare for that one! Good old Jimbo...

Lincoln vs Mansfield should be a decent bet for BTTS.

I rarely do any BTTS for the first month of the season. Bookies playing it safe until they know who is shit and who isnt so all odds are extremely low

Peterborough at home. Should be an interesting one and I expect goals. Posh seem to be vulnerable defensively but are very good on the attack.

We’ve got Ryan Woods back from suspension who’s crucial for us and I’d expect new boy Kamari Doyle to have a good chance of starting after his positive debut off the bench on Saturday.

Last season when we beat Peterborough at home, we basically sat off them and tried to contain them, but I wonder if we’ll try to be a bit more bold this time and take the game to them.

2-2 draw. One of Collins or Randall to score against us. I think Magennis will get off the mark for us.

I still remember when we drew at home with you in the FA cup 1964/65 season and a certain Ken Mulhearn kept you in the tie. You also won the replay 3-2 in front of nearly 20 thousand.

I predict 3 of our academy players to play on Saturday - sadly they will all be turning out for Peterborough

Will take a draw

The ginger Pirlo will guide you to victory, although for us he was more a lethargic leprechaun

Wigan away. Our loss will come but i'm not convinced it will be this weekend. Don't know too much about them but they are yet to score a goal in the opening 2 games and their forum is a pit of negativity.

We are still riding a crest of a wave and playing some decent stuff, the possibility of going unbeaten in August is still on.

Think we'll grab a point. 1-1

That's pretty much all he did for us was get sent off v Burton.
Mad how certain players fit certain clubs even within a brief amount of time

How have you been at running down blind alleys and giving the ball away when trying a simple five yard pass?

Who knows what to expect for us. Two sides with zeros up so far, and to the same clubs as well.

Suspect we'll play fairly well, maybe announce a bloody striker near the end of the week and hope for the boost, but probably not get the 3 points whilst the teething situation continues.

We have hardly seen him. He got injured in pre-season and only started his first game last Sat (although was hooked a few minutes into the 2nd half having done little apart from pick up a stupid yellow card)

Away at lincoln certainly an interesting one.

Lincoln are certainly the setup we should be aiming to emulate with how they’ve settled into league 1, and there’s very much a feeling of “if lincoln can do it, mansfield sure as hell can” - though putting that into practice remains to be seen given how embryonic the season is.

If our defensive injuries haven’t changed before now and saturday, any decent lincoln scout would be down the wings and pace pace pace, so that and their odds of winning will be much higher.

That said, we’re clearly a threat going forward and won’t have problems scoring this season, especially if it’s an open game.

Sold out away end so should be a decent game.

It really depends whether our front players get the memo that they are meant to put the ball INTO the bloody net - lots of chances created in the last two games (QPR and Crawley) only one converted, and that a goalkeeping howler...
