Games still coming thick and fast. After a drab victory against Bristol Rovers we’ve got a tough looking fixture with Lincoln heading for the CG.

Still cant believe how our injured players are STILL injured with what was reported at the time as 2-weekers. Got 2-3 which may get some game time Saturday but we’re stuck with what we’ve got for tomorrow.

Jonny Smith joined the injured list after an ACL injury on Saturday, Anthony Grant also looked crocked but has a habit of regenerating just in time!

Despite the 3 points we look a ‘weak’ team - not much threat up front but, at least on Saturday, a lack of defensive howlers that have blighted nearly all our games this season. Brett Pitman has been dubbed our ‘Pork Pie Pele’ for his complete lack of movement and ample waistline.

Not expecting anything.

The second of three long journey's in a week.

Not won in 3 league games I think and performance against Accrington although wasn't great should have got us 3 points. Not unexpected but goals are a little hard to come by particularly with only one out and out striker in Tom Hopper.

Bridcutt and Montsma seemed to come through the game, may change 1 or 2. Brennan Johnson and Anthony Scully knocking on the door and would expect the former to start, the latter maybe if Grant goes back into midfield.

If I remember rightly the County Ground is a big pitch and hopefully in good condition which should suit us.

I am sure Jack Payne will want to get one over us, despite some early promise he didn't kick on and MA didn't seem to fancy him, how has his season started?

I suspect we'll switch it around a little.

Adam Jackson can't play 3 games in a week apparently, and with Walsh out injured, it might mean Eyoma moves from RB to CB and we cover RB with either a winger or CM.

Johnson will probably come back into the starting XI as well after only getting 45 minutes at the weekend.

Let's hope we keep 11 men on the pitch during this visit!

Payne has been bright in most games - for some reason he tends to get hooked after 60-70 minutes most games.

Oxford on Tuesday - hopefully some revenge for the play-offs. We're in better shape now than back then whereas Oxford look like they've regressed quite a bit.

Could do with another three points to take into a tough run between that and Christmas - trips to Blackpool, Ipswich and Hull plus home games vs Peterborough and Fleetwood.

You can count on those three points. Just kick it somewhere vaguely in the direction of our goal and you should be fine.

In all seriousness we haven’t kept a clean sheet all season and our inability to score is a massive hindrance. We were much improved against Wigan however it couldn’t have gotten much worse and in terms of our opponents, we came away with the bare minimum.

I hope we can take a point... Though most U’s fans would begrudgingly anticipate a defeat sadly.

I much prefer playing Pompey when they are cocky.

Hull making the trip down tonight. We'll need to be significantly better than we were against the Shrews.

Accy Stanley away for us. Need to bounce back from the disappointing defeat to Pompey. Much will depend on the fitness of Beckles and Mandron. I fancy our chances a lot more with these two than with Lancashire and Zanzala. We won 2-0 there last season in the game cup, so a similar result would go down very nicely. It will be tough though Stanley have looked good this season and if they win there games in hand they could be right up there.

Blackpool at home, a game we normally lose in the last few minutes. We will have to be far better than we were on Saturday, Blackpool come into the game in good form where we look lethargic and disjointed.

Top of the form table over the last 10 matches. top scorers in the top 4 tiers. Best GD in the league, top league one goalscorer vs a side in Oxford that hasn't started too well and it just above the relegation zone.. What could possibly go wrong!!!

Really need to keep the performances right up there regardless of who we are playing. We were arguably the better side in both legs in the playoffs v Oxford, bar a few terrible decision from the ref , a terrible OG and pens away from wembley - although we weren't in form enough to beat Wycombe for me. Win, results go our way and we go 2nd tonight. All about how quickly we can get the lead. Stats show we struggle when we go behind generally. I'm hoping for a solid 3-0 victory tonight.

Think a draw is likely though this is the second of what will be 4 games in 9 days if we get through the cup on Thursday so think we'll have quite a bit of squad rotation going on for this one.

Can’t see us getting a positive result if those two are out.

You just need to play O’Niel and Reilly
Ex players always score against us

O'Neill is long-term injured but Reilly might start. Pigott has turned into a very decent player though so although he wasn't at your place for long he'll be the one keeping the tradition going if anyone.

Weird team selection tonight. 3 academy players on the bench with 0 league game experience, 1 x dodgy keeper and 1 x ‘daddy’s boy’

Mandron and Beckles both out with Lancashire at centre back, not at all confident now, Stanley 3-1 Crewe.

Rochdale for this one - another game like the Burton one where it'll probably make a big difference to the lower end of the table at the end of the season.

Purple patch over for us. A poor performance on Saturday followed by an even worse one tonight.

Been nothing short of a disgrace to be honest, the two goals we conceded are worse than Sunday league.

Bitty game Accrington v Crewe. I think Crewe look the more threatening. Just.

Swindon 0 - 1 Imps

Poor game all round, Monstma scored from a corner which the Swindon keeper flapped at, it came after the best passage of play in the game. Swindon should have had a point, Baudry missed at point black range on the 90. Other than that Swindon didn't particularly threaten other than long shots at goal, I think they got behind us once and should have scored from it.

Nice to get the 3 points having not played well at all, had a few passages of play but miles away from what we've seen previously.

What a surprise that we gave away another clown car goal. Wellens has managed to employ not one but two useless keepers and they are costing us every game.

Sounds like Sheridan has tightened us up and 1-0 was likely to be the final result. A shame but some slow signs of improvements. We have 7 first teamers out and the sooner we get them back the better.

Crewe didn’t bother turning up for the 2nd half as is often the case. Hopefully our fans will reign it in now. We’re not quite the reincarnation of Guardiola’s Barcelona, despite what some claim. We will put in some great performances, but we will come up short like we have done more often than not this season.

Also we have a shit keeper and we can’t finish. We will be absolutely fine though. Anywhere between lower and upper mid table.

Desperately need another forward in January, maybe even two.

Porter isn't League One standard. Looked so off the pace tonight even coming back from injury. Only one of our players tonight was trying to make things happen (Charlie Kirk) and not one of the midfield or other forwards were on his wavelength at all. A very sterile performance that bored me into submission. Build up play is far too slow and we're not testing the opposition keeper enough. Accrington were more than happy to let us have the ball as we were doing sod all with it.

Another very frustrating game. Nothing really in the game, had 0-0 written all over it really. A nice run of fixtures to come now though, so hopefully pick up a few points. Hope Mandron is fit soon though as he’s the only striker that looks up to this standard at the moment. We also have abit of a problem on the right hand side neither Dale or Powell can seem to put a decent game or two together. In fact I’d be tempted at putting Ainley out there.

I was a little concerned when I saw the line-up with central midfielders in both full back positions and presumably Jones playing slightly deeper.

Didn't sound like we got going at all. Our attacking play has become a bit disjointed in the last three or four games but defensively we're doing ok and staying well in games bar the Portsmouth one.
