You're fine, better him than Holloway. The club was going out of business when Nichol was there, which obviously didn't help much.

It's no weaker than normal, no one predicted the top 2 this year, it's a great league where anything can happen. Suppose it's too early to pick yet but surely stoke will be a lot better, Bristol city are heading in the right direction, if Leeds are anything like they were this season theyll but up their all year again, Swansea had a good end and I fancied them but that's changed now, Wednesday had a good 2019 under Bruce but still failed considerably against any good teams but hes a proven manager and I think they may challenge top 6. Fancy Cardiff under warnock too, the divisions number 1 manager over many years very rarely fails. Fulham for the playoffs and west Brom too should be. It's a good league once again at this stage without the unexpected teams who will be up there.

Not that it matters but we didn't fail considerably against any good sides, other than Leeds who deservedly beat us,and Villa who got very lucky.
Only other team we lost to were a shite QPR side that beat us well.
The other good sides we either beat or drew against once Bruce was in charge.

I would be very happy with the playoffs, but will wait to see how the summer pans out before getting any real expectations either way for us.

Expect the teams you mentioned to be up there with maybe Stoke although I think it could go either way for them, playoff material or new boss by Xmas.

Suppose I was a tad harsh with that, I think you'll be going for 6th to 10th, still be a way off the higher teams, still early yet though.

For all the money being spent, this league certainly seems weaker than ten to fifteen years ago.

Think Prem teams are snapping up the good, young players at an earlier age than they used to, helped by that pathetic Elite Player Performance shit and massive TV deals.

James, Kelly, Mepham, Brooks etc... one promising season and they're gone.

That's not even looking at the academies that have been cherry picked for the best players for next to nothing.
