No fancy badges this week, Flashscores have seemingly sacked them off and half of these games are probably already off anyway..

Pools Halifax is on as of speaking, should be a half decent game, they're on a bit of run and scoring goals albeit 10 of them in two games against the dog muck of the league, we're either decent or shit, seem to be no in between, same team and formation from us would be welcome, Armstrong has 4 goals in 3, all 4 at home, gotta be looking to win this.

Ours appears to be on!

Just the kind of game that we tend to drop points in.

Our game definitely goes ahead thankfully. Yeovil had a couple of Covid issues but they are fine thankfully.
Last Christmas we had horrendous injury problems and everyone was beating us easily and by a few each game. So hopefully those players that are here will get some revenge.

We really need to be picking up some points from the festive double header vs. Maidenhead because I don’t see us getting anything vs. Boreham Wood on the 28th. Most of those absent from the previous few games remain out but hopefully the management team have been able to secure some defensive cover before Boxing Day, we’re very light at the back right now.

Two tests which came back negative thankfully. After not playing for 3 weeks hopefully we'll be fresh enough for another 6-2 win.

Our bogey team, they have a great record at The Shay. Oddly enough, we've drawn these legendary giant killers 3 times in a cup, and beaten them every time, much to the tangible disappointment of the BBC, who took their MotD cameras to Moss Lane in 1988 to see us humiliated in the FA Cup. We walloped them 3-0.

We've got them at The Shay on 28th..... :ds:

I know, in 2018/19 we didnt even score a goal in 4 attempts and lost them all.
Would be happy just to score one :sur:

Hopefully DC will keep the same starting eleven & formation.
Its getting ridiculous his chopping & changing every week.
We got our best results last season playing three centre backs with two wing backs.
If he leaves well alone,I can see us getting the win.

With stunning inevitably, Kings Lynn have reported a case of covid in their ‘management team’ and called off our games with them tomorrow and on Jan 2...

Aren’t teams supposed to be travelling in bubbles and the like so this doesn’t happen, or has everyone given up on that?

This season has got no hope if one case in the management team can have the entire club isolating for ten days.

We’ve had positive cases to players but continued to play games. Dover away should be 3 points if we have any ambition to climb the table but it would be just like us to beat the top team away to follow that up with a defeat away to the bottom team.

Hopefully we can swerve all the lorries and actually make it to Dover.

Some clubs are going to use the Covid card as and when it suits them.

If London and the south east is as riddled as the stats suggest, postponements are going to be relentless.

Yes. Call me a cynic, but if Kings Lynn still had 1,000+ punters in today at £25 a go plus a couple of thousand streams at £12 as well as having to play in the trophy midweek I’m not sure the game wouldn’t be going ahead. Seems a little convenient too that it was announced at the end of Christmas Day instead of Christmas Eve, thus forcing the players and staff to cancel Christmas with their families.

Obvious now we were very naive to play (and lose to) Maidenhead when we had 4 first teamers out with it (on top of a couple of other injuries) instead of postponing.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Shots v Woking going ahead in germy Hampshire. I would have been in two minds about attending today anyway, virus rate in Aldershot is through the roof. Hope its a decent game to televise, usually feisty, also usually a win for Shots. Not today, I fear. Will go for 1-1 draw.

the only way your team won't get here is if you have a really stupid coach driver

We put this out on our official site not long after the Stockport postponement giving a little more detail as to why that game had been postponed and some of the thinking behind COVID games www.suttonunited.net/match-arrangements-during-the-pandemic/

Slightly annoyed that our game is off, however this was a risk we were heading into when we started the season with the pandemic still ongoing unfortunately.
