It is a huge result, we looked confident, organised and played some very good football at times. Bottle when we conceded the goal thereafter and it is massive we've strung a couple of wins together.

Cooke is getting better every week, so many strong displays there.
Cooke’s best game in a pools shirt, even without the free kick

Donny were terrible. Their game plan involved repeatedly passing the ball between keeper and centre half to waste as much time as possible, and that was about it. We were marginally better; it didn't feel like a three nil game in honesty, more like a scrap between two teams without an ounce of confidence between them, yet once we scored, Donny just threw in the towel.

First point we've gained from a losing position all season, their needless red changed the game but we were worthy of it from then on.

Shocking ref at our game today !! Typical lower league standard. It was never a sending off and the Newport player blatantly dived for the pen. We weren't great but all Newport had to offer was a long throw.

Harrogate you jammy fucking bastards. Off the post bouncing back off Crocombe and into the net in injury time. We've gifted them their other two too. Hard one to swallow that as we were the better team for most of it. Very frustrating result.

Hurst taken too long to make changes again, we were the better side but it was obvious at 2-1 we needed to make changes, Mcatee is not a lone striker. He then watches Harrogate make positive changes and come back into the game but still doesn't change it.

Sutton have a right winger at right back and Crawley have a centre back at left wing.

Injuries make for some odd match ups.

Casey
He’s been playing there for 2 months or so as we’ve only had 1 fit centre back (though our right back Kizzi has proved more than fine inside). Big result for us that and starting to breath a little easier.

despite coming from behind Northampton wee excellent value for their point and had they won i wouldn’t have complained.

Amazing what happens when we play 2 uptop and score the goal as opposed to cloughs dull defensive tactics.

Surprised about northampton bringing 550 odd, they’ve never been notoriously good followers but even by their standards that following is a disaster.

Clear daylight between them and us though, we won’t go up

Presumably been in the vicinity of Harry Pell was the inspiration for the dive?

Haven’t been impressed with us at all these past couple of games. Salford away was our one decent performance of recent weeks/months. But other than that we’ve been off it really and I can’t see that changing tomorrow.

I think we’re a poor team who’ve been punching well above it’s weight for months but slowly we’re starting to get found out. Our manager has done a great job, but lack of quality tells and I think it will tomorrow.

Can only see one outcome and that’s an emphatic Bradford win.

Pell was on top shithousing form today - remember him 10 years ago for Hereford and every time since when our paths have crossed. Takes it to another level now in fairness now his legs have gone and it’s rubbing off on the rest of the Dons. They played the Ref a treat today. Decent point on the road for us - draw a fair result. We had a few good chances to win it after going behind to a cross / shot. V poor quality game overall not helped by a whistle happy ref.

If the defence had have done their job though, we wouldn't be sat here talking about lack of changes. We'd be talking about a fairly comfortable 2-0 win. While I do agree on the changes, I think that the defence has to shoulder a significant chunk of blame for this one.

But yep, McAtee isn't a striker for me let alone a lone one. He wasn't at the races today though, by his standards. Even when he's not on it he'll create something at least which he did a few times but his finishing today was poor and he wasn't charging about as much as usual.

We’ve been like that for 3 years, it doesn’t seem to matter whose at the helm it’s the same shit with the same shit type of player

Looks like Crawley are imploding nicely.
Not really. We've been shit all season and it was only when Young was in charge that we tried to attack teams that we had any joy. Now we have gone back to being too scared to play the ball forward we are losing without having any shots again.

1 win in 12 to start the season, 1 loss in 9 with Young in charge and now 1 win in 3 but losing to two relegation rivals at home (something like that anyway)

After the game Etherington did say the injuries have hurt us again but every fan and commentator can see we are desperate for quality in midfield and a proper centre forward. Even club captain Francomb said we need some quality signings in January or we are in trouble. I've been saying the same since the season started.

So not imploding. Just shite except for a bit in the middle.

Things not going well for Richie Smallwood at Bradford? There were a few cheers and jeers from the away end when he was subbed off today.

Thought he was gonna be a really good signing and sure the Bradford fans were excited. The sort of signing that makes fans of other clubs think 'my God how can we compete with that'. Has he just not been the player you were expecting or poor management to blame?

Bradford are crap.

Such an underwhelming performance from the league's big boys. Whenever they play up here they usually are shit to be fair.

Their fans deserve better considering how big their away support is. Time for that dinosaur to be sacked.

didn't realise they had such a poor record at BP until I saw it mentioned today.

I was racking my brains trying to remember the last time they won up here and quite simply I can’t remember. We even beat them under Millen. We even beat them the season we got relegated from League 1. Their last win here must have been before my time. But Surely they’ll break the curse soon, I thought it would be today . Thankfully I was wrong.

Our whole central midfield is garbage, particularly Alex Gilliead. Smallwood is the scapegoat because he's captain and the big summer signing on big money but in truth if we had recruited a proper partner for him in the summer rather than thinking he was good enough to carry that waste of space next to him, then he'd probably look like the player we thought he'd be.

He's regressed and regressed this season to the point where he may need to be replaced himself rather than just simply getting him a partner.

His corners are fucking dreadful though.

Gilliead was a wide forward when we had him briefly. Never saw him having any potential to turn into a central midfield player tbh.

I remember beating them on penalties in a League Cup game back when they were a couple divisions above us, with Dean Windass skying the crucial penalty,

Has he had much of a run-out as a forward for Bradford? Surprised to see him used so far back today.

Was part of our prolific JAG forward line with Jabo and Asamoah
He was a winger in his first spell here and started there under Adams last year but was moved to CM when people realised you can't get away with 1G/A per season as a forward.
