Wing backs! I remember wing backs and full backs. We've Been playing a 3223 lately.

I know Gladwin will play a passing game but he might want to change things around a bit.

Casey
Where do you expect Tanimu to play then? Central Defence, I guess. Not saying he'll necessarily be ready to play today. He's going to have to learn to play in a completely different manner, although I guess if his own side know what he's going to do, it might work. He could be one hell of a disruptor, but I get the impression that you play in a very disciplined way. I can't wait to see what happens when he plays. Could be great. Could be a car crash. But should be interesting.

Gotta feeling todays match v Orient will be a true test of where we actually are in terms of quality and our chances of pushing on in L1 too, or just 'consolidating' for a season or two & catching up off the field as well as on it.

We were piss poor against an admittedly top notch Brum and got a jammy win vs CTFC, so has the early-season gusto started to wane a bit? Well, two away games and our iffy away style of play will give us a good idea....

I’m slack like that on holiday. Poor form. :lac:

Anyway. As mentioned above, we are deeply loved by the Gas.

It’s an odd relationship, I don’t think you could call it a rivalry, just a general feeling on their part that we should fuck off and die. Just one of those fixtures where (for them) you see it coming up and think, “oh no - do we have to?”.

I think a lot of teams may have felt the same way during the Ainsworth years where we were infamous for “the dark arts”, but it seems to run deeper than that for Gas fans, for some of the reasons already listed.

Our form is OK so far, but as I’ve said previously our weakness is an occasionally sloppy defence esp. from set pieces, so we’ll see if the Gas can target that.

I think that given BRFC’s shite start though, unless they start well then the crowd could start getting on the team’s back early doors - it remains to be seen how much shelf life Taylor has remaining.
Think you have summed it up brilliantly.

Same crap system that everyone has worked us out..........Baxter, Santos, and Sheehan are as good as anybody in the league in there positions, but this system heaps pressure on them.
Two wingbacks who cannot beat a player and cross woefully and two players who cost us £2m who cannot get a start..............Welcome to the madhouse

Evening kick-off at Barnsley. I'm always happy to have a couple of extra hours sampling the local taverns, but they've made it so late there's no trains back (thankfully I've managed to cadge a lift back).

Both sides taken a spanking recently so need to show something for it. For County it's still all about how we set up at full/wing back, far too defensively invisible there against Orient and I'm desperate for us to return to the back door and shore up the engine room instead.

Edit - I meant back four, but I'm leaving that there 'cos it's funny

0-1 here. Should be 0-4. We ain't played badly but our defenders keep cocking up and faffing around. Also a shout for a Bolton pen. It was off the ball so the chances of the ref seeing it were not good but it was a tangle more than a foul. Goes into the "seen em given " box.

Are you always as physical as that Casey?
Not the best of games but we was the only team with a bit of quality.
Won by two could have been 6
We could have had a red...........Shocking referee

Stinking start for us here. They've missed a sitter too be 1-0 up. We've barely been in their half yet. Reverting back too our standard away performances

That goals been coming for us. Pressure has been building. Cambridge look terrible so far. If we were sharper up top, could be 2 or 3 up.

Long time to go though, I'm sure Cambridge will get their chances.

Yup. It's been our season in a nutshell, look like we're managing the pressure, then make a stupid mistake out of nowhere and we're behind. Should have been punished for the first one, but we were for the second.

Gonna be at least 3 or 4 for Lincoln at this rate.

Really good first half against Northampton, which incredibly was 0-0 because both sides had a few really good chances.

Northampton best chance was a penalty which was the correct call, and came from one of our on a plate mistakes, Best chance for the stags was a cross deflected on to the inside of the post then across the line, a miracle it did not go in.

Both sides pretty open and looking dangerous.

Game has been dead last 40 minutes.
Wrexham need to stop hoofing it all the while, this is normally how we lose some weeks.

Wrexham are absolutely alehouse. Typical Parkinson side. We should be two or three up. No doubt they’ll bundle one in from a corner and burgle the points.

The only positives are we are still level. Poor performance so far but some more positive signs in the last few minutes of the first half. Need a marked improvement second half if we are going to get anything out of this.

Even I won't defend us today. It's aimless hoofing all the way. No idea why we are doing that.

This is how we play away from home, nothing new here only for people who haven't seen us for the last 3 years. Totally different side at the Racecourse with the way we play.

Oh my god, Will Evans scores a header from a great Quinny cross, then a minute later Lee Gregory is through 1v1 and somehow hits the post, that could be crucial.

Brilliant game at sixfields.

Lincoln haven't even needed to get out of 2nd gear.

Second half we started really well and got an early goal, Lee Gregory on another day probably gets a hat trick. Aaron Lewis topped it off with another late goal to seal it. Northampton themselves also had chances and forced Pym in some really good saves and probably feel a bit hard done by, but we found a way to score and keep a clean sheet while missing 2/3 1v1s - a deserved victory.

Awful for 70mins. They should of been 2 up half time. We missed some good chances 2nd half. Need to mix it up away from home.

Another clean sheet away, will take that. We are too defensive away but I'll take draws away and win the home games.

Yeah I fear for you. Total control in first half for us, should have been 2 or 3 up at half time with chances missed. As expected you came out stronger early in the 2nd half without really creating anything. Very stop start 2nd half with ref blowing for a lot of free kicks. Cadamateri's goal came from his great control and killed the game off completely. Expected some big pressure from Cambridge but very comfortable afternoon. 1st half especially you really struggled with some basics. Very quiet from the home ends, like you were not expecting to come back whatsoever.

PS I hate Wycombe

I feel that somehow this is unlikely to change after today.

Ex-Brizl City Josh Low wins it for us right at the death, us having been behind for much of the game.

Taylor out?

Went to the Stevenage Charlton game as we played last night and had nothing better to do (yeah I know)

Not the best game entertainment wise I must say. Looked like it was going to be heading for a pretty dull 0-0 for most of it with both teams rather cancelling eachother out. Then Stevenage broke from a Charlton corner, good quick break but Charlton were sleeping a little bit.

Actually though of the general play Charlton were the better side, albeit marginally, they just carried 0 threat or presence up front - Godden may as well have not been on the pitch. That only changed when they stuck the centre half up top with Aneke right at the end.
