Sounds like we did what you do when you're a half decent L1 side and that's go to a side in the situation that Cambridge find themselves in and get a straight forward win. Should probably have been three or four, though.

Big blow to lose House after 5 minutes, for the first half we had two Academy lads up front in Draper and Makama.

Club record 13 unbeaten away from home now, the last defeat being at Blackpool on NYD when we had 12 out ...who we're at on Tuesday.
you said what’s coming….

Its always your poorest performance of the season when you dont win ,

I think we played better against Birmingham (for twenty minutes at least) and got beat comprehensively. Although tbf for over an hour we barely touched the ball in that game.

We typically don't play too well in London.

I always felt Stockport would score, Barnsley just come across as a team without a backbone.

I thought we deserved a point to be honest. They did restrict us to few clear cut opportunities but at the end of the day they're a team who make the play offs last two seasons and they had the 1-0 and were only interested in stifling it to see it out. Was a bit of a lucky goal but we did build territory and Barnsley almost asked for it IMO.

We can and do need to play better though. Combinations don't seem right for us. But I think we get the season to work on it as we'll be nowhere near the top and nowhere near the bottom.

It’s interesting watching that game, from a mansfield perspective did either of them look better than us? nah.

It’s an interesting one in this division to what the expected quality is - like against mansfield, barnsley had the chances but didn’t convert.

There was not a lot between Mansfield and ourselves last season. Only difference was Challinor being ambitious compared to Nigel Clough.

I'd be stunned if either of us are in trouble after what I've seen so far. It's not arrogance, we'll get some pumpings but there are points there to be had and it's becoming quite blatant now.

We were pretty poor cutting edge wise tonight but got a point away at a side who have been in the League One Play Off Final and Semi Final the last two years

You’re right. challinor had the money of a top 3 side to be ambitious whereas clough had a budget of a 7/8th side placed side - so wasnt allowed the same chance - stockport lost 8 last season - 2 of them against clough.

clough got mansfield promoted despite having a much smaller budget.

Cannot be arsed to go through it again but the business end of last season we had 7 (seven) defenders out, that’s what cost us.

Anyway, Stockport deserved a point and it was coming, I rate Clarke but something is not quite right for Barnsley, got quality but the side just evidently has something missing.

I’ll say it and of course it may come to bite me on the arse, but I am not worried about getting relegated.

Name me a better manager than clough in this league with the budget supplied - the answer is you probably can’t.

I didn’t think we were particularly physical today, Williams is always a live wire in the middle but the worst challenge came from Thomason which he was booked for.
I have no idea what the reaction was from your guy in the 2nd half, went down like he had been shot and started screaming the place down, the rest of your team even looked embarrassed!

Same old same old from us, 70% possession of which we did absolutely f all with. So much ability there but we really need a manager who can make it click… and quickly.
Thomason is a poor mans Scholes.........Has no malice in him but he cannot tackle a good dinner.
Williams is not a live wire just out of his depth in league 1
Evatt worked you out and he set us up yesterday still in that awful 5/3/2 but we let you have all the possession and sat back kept our shape and because you had the ball you pushed players forward which Charles and Dempsey exploited time and time again and if it was not for your keeper and the centre back Flint you would have been 3/4 down at the break
And in this league when we are bringing Collins and Mcatee on after a hour we are always likely to get another.
Schon is from the continent [Hungry] and is not used yet to cloggers in lge 1
I liked your keeper, Flint and the winger Quitirna had you down for Relegation not so sure now even with losing Lindsey
Good luck for the rest of the season

We're gradually getting worse. We've been poor in the last 3 games. Poor at Brum. ROBBED Crawley. Then awful again t

Think all three of us will be fine this season ,especially given the financial resources you have, stockport seem well monied as well and hopefully if we need strengthening in January there will be some cash left over from the sales of dkd and will swan

A frustrating day at San sixfields but I thought a really enjoyable watch despite the bad result for us in the end. We will play way worse than that and get results this season. Thought Lee Gregory was really classy for Mansfield, he still has a ton to offer at this level so I could see him being up there as top scorer in the league this season.

We had our chances and obviously the penalty miss was a huge moment. That being said as we pushed forward more Mansfield could have scored several more, shocked it didn’t end 3-3 tbh.

There were times when we ran out of ideas a little in the second half. I think having Tom eaves fit will give us a presence to put balls in the box effectively as the Mansfield CB’s dealt with that comfortably I thought.

Anyway a frustrating game, but I’m confident that we have enough going forward to keep us up despite the goals not coming yet, they will.

A good win but a flattering result . Burton should have scored at least 2 . Onto a massive game on Tuesday against Lincoln before another difficult match against a good Mansfield team away .

Northampton will play a lot worse than that and win this season ,pym was outstanding our defence was after the first ten minutes ,capable gregory and evans will punish defenders more than yesterday ,must admit i thoroughly enjoyed it yesterday a cracking match ,but i suspect many of your fans felt as frustrated as i felt elated

It was a really good match for the neutral.

Northampton and Mansfield setting the standard, they should be showing that to our soccerball friends across the pond and in Wales/Brum.

How it was 0-0 at halftime is anyone’s guess, you really should’ve been leading at halftime.

Great to get the clean sheet at Pym had to be MOTM.

From what i’ve seen Northampton will be fine, quite easily better than shrewsbury and cambridge
