Much as I don’t like losing it might not be too bad a thing to lose tonight and at least keep some of our fans expectations a bit more realistic.
I personally expected a draw and it’s a loss so only 1 point less than I hoped for and it’s still been a great start and better than most of us expected.

Have to say it was genius by Hurst to pull the covid card first game to not lose to these and have confidence knocked first game and go on to lose a few more. Instead we started with confidence went 7 unbeaten, lose now and follow up with an easy game against Dover (in before we lose on Sat too)

Beleaguered Chesterfield.

Similar to Altrincham who beat us on Saturday though, you look at the club and think 'that looks fairly straightforward', then on the teamsheet there's some really good players there. Alty brought Dean Furman off the bench, Woking with Maguire-Drew on there tonight! Even Effiong who's scored the third off the bench has 15+ at this level recently and we saw enough in him to sign him to try and aid a promotion push last season.

Rowe might be under his first bit of pressure as Chesterfield manager tonight. Fans already rumbling at his style of trying to see games out after being up a goal or two will be in louder voice tonight

Sounded a game of two halfs and Cheeks solo goal and Sousa going of injured changed the game, sending off didn't help. Least Hurst didn't sit back and brought strikers on but didn't work out.

Had to lose sometime may as well be away to a tinpot side that finished in the play offs and play on a plastic pitch to ensure they win more than they lose.
