Arghhhhh, that was frustrating. Doncaster were ever so clinical and we managed to gift them excellent opportunities. Tactically astute and played at the right times.

Our passing at times, particularly from James Henry really let us down. Our lack of concentration really was our downfall. We could have won that game with a little more focus.

On a separate note, how the bloody heck was that not a penalty on Shodipo!? Incredible.

In the space of a month Rochdale have gone from one of the best sides we’ve played against to possibly the worst.

Comfortable as you like today, could have been about 5-0 before half time and even just saw the second half out without any bother.

Beat Hull 1.0, and played well.
Clean sheet too.. Which is rare
Jimmy is making a difference and our new signings look good.
We could still yet stay up

Yes it was frustrating. The midfield were poor today, Gorrin and Henry particularly so for different reasons. Definite penalty, no attempt at the ball at all by the Donny defender. The irony being the Ref was whistle happy anyway else on the pitch!

Donny were clinical in front of goal with some very good finishes and defended well at times considering how much we had the ball whereas we didn't at key times. I don't think Jack Stevens did anything other than pick the ball out of the net and he didn't stand a chance on any of those from the iFollow view. We deserved a draw from today for all of the above.

Need to get back on it on Tuesday now though.

We have one of the best defensive records in this league, unfortunately we simply cannot score. I though the Gas were well worth a point today and assume they just did'nt turn up at Accy earlier in the week . Draws are no good for Fleetwood, we are edging towards the wrong end of the table and somehow need to find 3 points from somewhere. Good debut from Batty today and he looks a really good player, dont laugh too much, we are a good side that is seriously under achieving.

So Mr Grayson this is a real challenge for you and with all your experience I do expect you to turn things round, perhaps starting against Donny next Tuesday, why not ?

Thought we should have won tbh, three glorious chances that were easier to score than miss the target.

Back to basics from us though after our thumping from Accrington. 2 poor teams out there today if I’m honest, but we did what we needed to I guess

Excellent win against a very good Oxford team, really clinical where it mattered but the ref was an utter joke, gave free kicks for nothing gave yellow cards out when worse had gone by without a foul being given, how the Oxford player who put his studs in Balcombe’s face didn’t get booked I’ve no idea probably why he didn’t give the pen to Oxford.

Are you talking about Brannagan when he was regaining his balance and put his foot over the top of your player prone on the floor?

I didn't see anything else resembling a studs in the face but totally one of those 'racing incident' type of situation where you are unbalanced and can't put your foot down in the natural position and try your best to avoid contact. The reaction by your players didn't suggest any different.

Being beaten by Paul Lambert is not one to put on the CV.
We hadn’t been leading at half time for a club record 20 games!! Wouldn’t have taken a draw to get rid of Lambert

We actually played really well today, deserved 3 points and should have won it more comfortably.

Dropping Chambers was refreshing to see and whist it will take more than this to turn the tide for Lambert... it's certainly a step in the right direction.

He could have pulled his leg back but chose not to, well aware he was off balance but you don’t lead with a straight leg, a little daft because you can easily break your own leg, anyway neither player ended up injured

I must admit, I assumed it was game management to eat up some time and kill momentum when the pressure was building. I’d be ever so surprised is Brannagan would do that deliberately (if he did).

Doncaster defended better than any side I’ve seen this season. As said previous, they really look like a serious promotion candidate.

I thought we just went gung-ho at every opportunity (which to the naked eye made us look like the largely dominant side) but in reality our lack of focus over a 10 minute spell cost us dearly.

Fully expected you to be a good side and you didn’t disappoint, we have a really solid defence since bringing Butler back in for his organisation allowing Anderson to be the wall he is and getting Balcombe who commands his area. We have lots of pace upfront and some very talented players to unlock defences, Smith is a full international who put the pass through for the first and Richards who set up the second and scored the third was sold for £2m and is only 19, I wouldn’t worry about yesterday too much, I would be more concerned by the fact it takes the first 15 games of the season to be played before your season gets going.

We'll worry about that next season, in the Championship. :mell:

On Balcombe, he certainly commands his area but is his distribution normally as sporadic as that or was it the conditions? Jack Stevens, our keeper, can go from excellent to awful as well with distribution although he is definitely improving.

Yep...that's us. we are often (but by no means always) good away from home, but almost always lacking ambition at home. Think we've won 1 game in 15 at home this season, and still BBM thinks it's exciting for us fans. well; if it wasn't for the idiot in charge above him (our CEO is a prize dick) he would be out by now.

Most people are saying that we've signed 3 new players, and they will make all the difference, but I'm not sure...none of them have any league experience this season, and 2 of them haven't played any games at all in L1.

We have needed a left back all season, and still haven't got one. This alone is criminal.

Charlton looked a good team...but it's hard to judge just how good because of our powderpuff stuff all over the pitch.

He’s young so yes, he can ping a 50 yard ball straight on the strikers foot then the next 3 either are straight out or to an opposition player. The things you have to except when they are learning their trade.

Was surprised by your performance (pleasantly) yesterday. Worlds away from the first half at The Valley. Didn’t realise your home form was so bad until they mentioned it pre-game on Valley Pass.

You definitely weren’t great but that genuinely was our best 90 minute performance for months, if that helps at all!

Starting to look like home form will scupper our promotion chances this season. Two very late goals to snatch a point against Argyle.

I reckon the team should head up north the day before a home game, then they can have a long coach trip to Fratton on the day of the game.

You'll be getting the very easiest of easy 3 points tomorrow. You might want to rest some of your best players because we are the pits.
