Good result for us at Wrexham. For both playoffs and our slim title chances.

6 wins in 7, Cheltenham visiting Prenton Park in a couple weeks..

Taken exclusively in the context of this forum, that was an immensely satisfying victory.

Money can't buy you heart.
Maybe their vision was blinded by the green pitch?

So close to getting 6 points out of the Eastleigh and FGR games. That we haven't shows that we aren't anywhere near a team likely to challenge for play offs. Still, better than constant defeats!

FGR won't do it, they shit themselves as soon as we brought an actual lamppost on, plonked it up front and kicked the ball at it.

Hahaha, hadn't even considered that we might have a chance at the title! Playoffs looking realistic now despite all the games in hand everyone has on us.

Ffs Wrexham and Barrow, checked the scores on 80 mins and all looked good. It's Barroween Part 2. More jammy late goals for #Teamgloucestershire.

'Useless fat lump' Rhead with his 20th of the season!
...and one of you has used that line after every single goal since about number 3 or 4.

Think you are getting mixed up, he was referring to the other Tranmere fan mentioning slim title hopes, not saying that he thinks that himself.

On current form we will get 89 points, how is that not a slim chance? I did not say we will definitely win the league, we will however win the playoffs if that's where we end up. 5th time lucky..

Worcester P-P Alfreton. Traveled all the way to Aggborough to find the game off despite it passing an early inspection. So bit of a waste of an afternoon unfortunately

Yeah my bad, should have read the rest of the thread. Good luck to Cheltnham for the title as I would rather face FGR in the play-offs than Cheltnham. The priority for us know has to be to get that play-off spot wrapped up asap and try out new formations and give resting time for our key players.

For that you need 36 points from your final 14 games more than 2.5 points per game, not gonna happen.
And even then that will probably not be enough the way Cheltenham are going.
You call that slim chance, i call it no chance.

Lincoln and Kiddy getting excellent results today!

Shame about Wrexham but you can't have it all.

Last 10 winners:

Barnet - 92 pts
Luton - 101 pts
Mansfield - 95 pts
Fleetwood - 103 pts
Crawley - 105 pts
Stevenage - 99 pts
Burton - 88 pts
Aldershot - 101 pts
Dagenham - 95 pts
Accrington - 91 pts

Only once would 89 pts have been enough. I'd say it's no chance rather than a slim chance. You're also suggesting you'll win 17 more points than us and 16 more points than FGR. Our record is also currently 1 draw in 9, 2 draws in 14, and no defeats in 18. On current form, we're on for 110 pts

Good result today, have we stumbled across the perfect partner for Rhead by accident in Muldoon?

I reckon we've got more chance of winning the league than Tranmere have.

Great result for us in Eastleigh losing. Tranmere in great form, beginning to bed-in amongst the play-offs. We could do with Dover and Eastleigh having a wobble. We play both back-to-back at the end of this month/start of March. Massive.

But it still doesn't stop people posting it or more importantly believing it.

Just realised our away game at Eastleigh later this month is off because of their pitch because we're in the Trophy.

Now the rage has settled, I can honestly say Tranmere were shite. We're barely creating much, but it took a very dubious penalty for them to turn us over. They had a stronger penalty shout before that but the ref was convinced it was a dive. Other than that the match was largely uneventful, which is a damning indictment of both sides at the moment.

Besides a combination of dodgy finishing and your keeper having a worldie, aye. Enjoyed your single shot of the game blazing 20ft over the bar. Happy for us to win 1-0 in relatively scrappy games after battering the likes of Eastleigh and losing earlier on in the season.

Important 3-0 win for AFCR&D vs Ware today. Most of the others around the top won too, so pretty much a case of "as you were" but with one game less to play. Obviously being top that's a good thing for us - the more games we can stay top, the better of course. That said it's also good for Egham who can still overtake us without needing us to lose.

The game was touch and go to actually play with weather in the local area. Important for it to go ahead as we have a lot of home games and the more spread out the matches on the pitch the better the condition will be. Not to mention the fact that we of course share usage of it.

Wasn't able to go, but from what's been reported we had and missed a few decent chances, one-on-ones with the keeper and the like; the dodgy finishing, which Tranmerewhite refers to.
Don't think Rovers are very good, but atm doing enough to make the play-offs and that will suffice for now.

I am hoping Tranmere do make it to the play offs and we get to play them, purely for location.
Whilst Tranmere is not exactly round the corner, it is much more appealing than a Wed/Thurs night or Sunday afternoon trip to Cheltenham FGR Eastleigh Woking or Dover, all mammoth trips!
