Honestly, what was the point in scheduling these games for this week, with only three actually going ahead... :ffs:

Baffled our game is taking place at the normal time.

Expecting this to be a tough game, the Slops will be bang up for this one and we'll be favourites.

Hoping we paste them 7-0.

Incredibly tinpot if you’ve not got enough international call ups and have to play

Disappointing absence of our P-P against Reading

We got rid of all but one player that could be called up for various international matches.

I read that Nathen Jones was keen to play the game if possible, probably because of our form and Charlton's until yesterday.

Though he did say they would re-assess after the weekend's fixtures.

If they do find out they are losing players it wouldn't surprise me to see Charlton call it off, you couldn't blame them.

We have 3 players called up for international duty, 2 of whom would likely be substitutes and 1 not in our match day squad. None of the 3 are a surprise and Jones seems to want the game to go ahead. That being said, our LB was really poor against Reading with our first choice injured so wouldn’t be surprised if he now changes his mind to allow him to recover and play this game when rearranged

Me too. Thought it was certain to be moved. Maybe to do with TV times for your overseas fans?

You're definitely favourites. 2 call ups for us in Hoole, who is our only recognised RB in the squad, and Pierre who will be the only defensive cover on the bench, not that he'd be missed too much.

We'll sit back and try and catch you on the break. Since Hurst came back we have been better away than at home. Early goal for you and it'll be game over.

Encouraging signs going forward yesterday with the young lads, and a vital win as wouldn't have liked to have gone into this still without a win.

Aaww be nice. We've missed you too!
I'm originally a Telford lad so there is added extra for me...

Overseas fans has nothing to do with this KO being 3pm. Honestly, I think based off last season, our match at Tranmere was a 12.30 KO and didn't see many reports of trouble from either club or fans, so our home game was a 3pm to test the water, again nothing to note from the clubs or fans.

Similar to the cup in January, nothing really happened between both clubs, considering the Slops fanzone was right next to the away end. A few exchanges of unpleasantries but nothing out the ordinary.

After that excellent win yesterday from Slops, I was fearing their cup final performance was next week, so this should settle them down and get naff all next week instead.

For us, another clean sheet from an absolute supurb away performance. Soaked all the pressure and limited posh to a whopping 0 shots on target. I expected a load of shit from them with all the gobbing off they did on X and whatnot, but we contained them and hit them with some excellent Parky ball football. None of the hoofball that everyone loves to claim we do. I can't see any changes to the side that has kept 3 clean sheets in 4 as we have been like a well oiled machine of late. And Dobson, what.A.Player. Just oozes class and goes about his business quietly but he is so so effective at it. Long may this run continue.

Just thought that with it being an international weekend your overseas viewers may have been a factor, but police would have the final say. You're right about the last game, tho allegedly "football fights" took place on the Friday night in a residential part of Shrewsbury randomly. Nothing of note happened at the game, police were a bit random, making home fans walk around Lidl and onto the main road to avoid the away fans, when it only extended the walk to the same point by about 30 seconds. Then they stopped "Wrexham fans" on the one side of the road and had orders to walk back to the station when everyone was already mixing. Me and a mate were telling the police we were Shrewsbury fans but they wouldn't have it until we pointed to 2 old ladies behind us in home colours! Just seemed total overkill.

Not got a ticket for this one, family commitments wouldn't allow me to go, so I'll have to subject my toddler to the game on TV. Hoping we stay in the game early on. Grew into the game really well yesterday, and also much better in the 2nd half against Notts County. I imagine Wrexham will be a different proposition to the cup game back in January. Nice to have a derby back on the calendar

Given our well known injury issues ( ) we actually signed an international player from NZ who became the 3rd international so there we could cancel the match.

More of those clough antics!

Don’t tell the Grimsby lad that we have found a new way of getting games postponed when we have a lot of injuries. Instead of getting the hoses out on the pitch we sign an international on loan at the eleventh hour.
Classic Nigel.

What is this tinpottery we've arrived in?

What players do Burton and Crawley have to get it called off for internationals?

I'm not sure he can just change your mind after the weekend's result, don't think it quite works like that...surely?!

It’s very ideal this being off for us, our call ups are Lucas Akins (Grenada) Keanu Baccus (Australia) and Ben Waine (New Zealand)

I’m hoping for a stronger squad available for Cambridge in two weeks.

There is a glitch in the Matrix when the likes of Burton v Crawley have a game called off for international call ups.

How many other games would be played if they didnt include borrowed loan players?

RUFC confirm the match at Charlton will go ahead despite Charlton's international call ups.

We apparently have three called up, but only think of two, Roughan and McKiernan, not a clue who the third one is, unless Northampton have three?

Oh I absolutely agree with you on that one.
Slops only got 1 win from 4 which is pretty poor. Getting walloped 1-4 by Peterborough.
They only got lucky on Saturday because Orient were dreadful all game and they should be relegated the way the played.

You have until Midday Monday to call it off so he could have done. Alongside 3 players getting call ups, 1 of whom was called up on Sunday, I think we had Maynard-Brewer on standby for Australia. If he'd have been called up on Sunday/Monday I think we'd have postponed the game as we don't really have a third choice keeper to sit on the bench.

After a poor result and performance against Reading all around we will be looking to fight back. Evans is a bit of a thorn in our side but Jones is unbeaten at the Valley.

Ahadme and Campbell have struggled a bit up front so far but I'm not sure if we will change that. Jones likes a tall man up front and Ahadme is all we have in that department, currently.

Jones unbeaten at the Valley and Rotherham haven't won away since a 1 0 win at Bramall Lane on the 8th November 2022.

It's got to happen sometime?.....................................................just maybe not this time.
A draw would be a good result for us.

Meh, sub keepers.
Cant remember when we last had to use one. So much so, we dont even bother putting one on the bench anymore even though we have 3.
If our keeper gets injured our CB Wilson will be in goal - good deal for him as it means he will rarely be subbed off.

....cue a keeper injury on Saturday now ive said that!!

I'd be happy with a draw although didn't quite realise how appalling that away run was!
