Barnsley keeper just made another clanger, how has he got an full international cap?!
No, you or some other Rovers fan has tried to make this point before.Being an Exeter fan . I did'nt expect you to understand.
The 'old' Wrexham would've fucked this game up and lost.Respect to Parky here, great start. You fancied them for that kind of comfortable result today, they'd have been disappointed not to win but they delivered and that is the mark of a good team.
I managed to watch bits of the Wrexham Shrewsbury game, professional performance from Wrexham with some nice goals. It will get tough for them at some point but it’s a great start.
I don’t want to take anything away from the victory but Shrewsbury looked like a bog standed limited L2 side, actually a bit taken back by how poor they look.
I think it was taken well as 3-0 was almost expected beforehand. Once you scored early we weren't ever going to get back into it. We've simply not got the quality or finance to compete with the bigger budgets and teams in the league, sad as it may be. The hope is for 20th this season. Approaching transfer deadline Wrexham sign Rathbone and Faal for sizeable fees, we sign 2 league 2 backups, one on a free and the other on loan. It just shows where our finances are currently.Expect a much tougher game today. Didn't have too get out of 2nd gear in the 2nd half. Shouldnof been atleast 5.
When we kept the ball down we went through them with ease.
Marriott a different player this season, can't see Mulls getting a start in the league anytime soon if he keeps the way he is.
Shocked the Shrewsbury fans took it as well.as they did. Getting beat 3-0 in a derby and barely making a chance. I'd be fuming.
I can't argue too much with that last statement, no-one could argue on our side if you walked away with a 3-0 win yourselves but your atrocious finishing cost you in the cup. Today though, I thought you were trying to catch Telford up with that type of performance. Makes me laugh when it said you had 3 shots on target but I didn't fear our goal even remotely threatened. We didn't have to get out of 1st gear. Totally outclassed and outplayed and could and should have scored more, and quite easily too.I think it was taken well as 3-0 was almost expected beforehand. Frustratingly Wrexham have beaten us twice in the last 12 months and haven't been particularly impressive in either of the games.
Having the likes of Okwonkwo on a free and Dobson on a free is an absolute masterclass of the pull we have.Respect to Parky here, great start. You fancied them for that kind of comfortable result today, they'd have been disappointed not to win but they delivered and that is the mark of a good team.
I just think they're notch ahead of us at the moment in terms of the quality of players brought in (£ is a factor in this tbf), they seem a bit more robust and have more experience of players who have played at this level and higher.
Will the bubble burst? What was it like in the National League?Having the likes of Okwonkwo on a free and Dobson on a free is an absolute masterclass of the pull we have.
Without a doubt the bubble will burst. But for now, i'm absolutely loving this! Will the bubble burst? What was it like in the National League?

The only team I can say with a degree of confidence that I expect to go up is Birmingham. They've just spent too much to fail. I expect in the 2nd half of the season they win near enough every match. It’s very early days for anyone to be talking about going up, especially the promoted sides.
You’re benefiting from a very weak L1 last season, the weakest in a very long time. A lot of teams have invested more this season though so it’ll be interesting to see how/if that has changed, so far it’s looks a bit better to me, but we’ve had a tough set of games.
Most promoted teams do usually do well the first half of the season, carrying momentum through. Usually it’s the 2nd half of the season when injuries set in they start to drop off. Been the same the last few years with all the promoted teams ‘challenging’ around Christmas time.
However, I do expect a couple to probably not tail off this year, purely because of their spending power coming into the league, and what they’ll be able to do again in Jan
300 points and 300+ goals and we've never played well under Parky in 3 seasons. He can't keep getting away with it.Frustratingly Wrexham have beaten us twice in the last 12 months and haven't been particularly impressive in either of the games.
Not saying that you never play well. Even your own fans have said that you've not played well against us twice and still won. Can only comment on the games I've seen.300 points and 300+ goals and we've never played well under Parky in 3 seasons. He can't keep getting away with it.
Our 5 strike options isn't far off that with Leaburn to return, although I think financially we are somewhat off the pace with Wrexham. That being said, I don't expect us to be anywhere near the top 2. Our battle is to do enough to be in that race for 6th placeYou look at Wrexham's front line and you're seeing Marriott and Palmer start with Mullin and Steven Fletcher off the bench. And then they're still leaving a player they bought for half a million pounds (Faal) as an unused sub.
Only Birmingham could match (or better) this financial superiority IMO. Aware clubs like Huddersfield and Bolton are well off but not sure their fifth choice strikers do or could cost half a million pounds.
This is why I had and have Wrexham to be very high come May. Parkinson is also a better manager than people give him credit for. He's solid if not spectacular. Losing the league to us last season will always stick in the mans craw because of how much he spent, I accept that was probably a failure on his behalf but he still achieved Auto's pretty comfortably which achieves the same result more or less.
You are right --They are rivalries . But not a derby. No, you or some other Rovers fan has tried to make this point before.
Ask Liverpool fans if their rivalry is with Everton or Man United.
Tell Swansea fans they don't have a rivalry with Cardiff.
Etc.
