I actually work with two Argyle fans and a Torquay fan. Distances down here mean a bit less, no one bats an eyelid driving 100 miles as we often do
I'm not suggesting ours is a bitter rivalry, but to ignore other ones such as Cardiff v Swansea or Pompey v Saints is ridiculous

I had the misfortune to live in Plymouth about 20 years ago, just when we were relegated to the conference and they were on the rise to the Championship. It was bloody awful.

I’d say we have a bitter rivalry…We hate each other, you only have to look at the scenes when Nardiello scored the winner down there in 2009.

City fans get under the skin more when I see them almost every day at work or in pubs/clubs. I cant imagine you see that many Plymouth fans other than at the games?
I guess it’s just hard for us to imagine a rivalry with a team 40+ miles away when we've always had one on our doorstep.

Occasionally see Argyle fans, but yeah, I can imagine that when you’re used to a one City rivalry, it must seem odd that fans of clubs an hour apart have a hatred of one another. But, trust me, there is a very strong rivalry and the fact there’s a distance between us doesn’t really register at all.

I agree with PP. It's doable because the station is not that far away, but you've got no margin for any sort of delay. Unless you want to leave a little early id go for the next one.

except the delay will be on Transport for Wales' end.

Id expect that 5pm train to come at 5:20 at the earliest.

I managed to watch bits of the Wrexham Shrewsbury game, professional performance from Wrexham with some nice goals. It will get tough for them at some point but it’s a great start.

I don’t want to take anything away from the victory but Shrewsbury looked like a bog standed limited L2 side, actually a bit taken back by how poor they look.

Yep, agreed, Shrewsbury had nothing going for them at all. It's hard to believe they've spent the last 15 years laughing at us when you see the sheer difference in quality between the two sides.

That wasn't anywhere near our best either. We were much much better vs Reading and Peterborough and even Bolton.

And we had Brett Ormerod. Great against us as he always scored, but was shite for us and his legs had gone. Missed a glaring chance from 6 yards, and wanted to catch up Richard Brodies penalty thats still floating round earth.

A little harsh on Ormerod (although that miss was a howler). He was pretty good for us I thought, and was brilliant against Kidderminster in the semi, but he certainly wasn't a goalscorer.

If Danny Wright had been available it may have been a different story.

Looks like we’re another club who definitely don’t care about Wrexham but tickets magically flying out the door. Half sold today on first day of season ticket holder sales with the game 4 weeks away.

You won't be the first, nor the last to say that! If boots were on the other foot, really there is a whole generation who has never been up here, so can understand the element of ticking grounds off lists etc. Plus we have a real buzz around the place and people will definately see that as a place to go, but the main thing is that its such a low ticket allocation so should sell out. I'd imagine the journey from Northampton isn't exactly hard. Think of Salop away, but an extra half hour or so on top of.

Yeah it’s definitely a ground to tick off for me and I’d be there without the extra buzz around it, but it’s certainly one people have looked out for. It doesn’t look too bad a drive but it’s definitely a train day out no question.
