This weekends action is kickstarted with Stockport’s visit to Tranmere on Friday night.

For my beloved, it’s Mansfield away. They have a very good home record stretching back to last season.

We got the better of them last season at Field Mill, thanks to a masterclass from Charles Vernam - and Cook’s last minute winner, of course.

We’re in a bit of form at the minute, and arguably should have more points on the board - but I’m sure that’s applicable to most clubs too.

I could be wrong, but I think Mansfield might have some injury troubles - particularly upfront.

The stats suggest that we’re two heavily possession-based sides, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one pans out.

Hughes has a massive selection headache. I just hope Alex Gilliead is back fit. I’m trying my best to see what Levi Sutton offers us, but I’m at a loss. Jake Young has 3 goals in 2, but he doesn’t strike me as a go-to player when away from home.

GK: Harry Lewis

RB: Brad Halliday
CB: Matty Platt
CB: Romoney Critchlow
LB: Liam Ridehalgh

CM: Ritchie Smallwood
CM: Alex Gilliead

RW: Scott Banks/Dion Pereira
CAM: Harry Chapman
LW: Jake Young/Tyreik Wright

ST: Andy Cook

Tough, tough game. I’d be happy with a point, but we’re more than capable of going there and turning them over.

1-1 (Cook) 7,100 (1,750 City)

Mansfield vs Bradford certainly the fixture of the weekend.
Having seen Mansfield at ours, and knowing their string home form, I'd be surprised if Bradford came away with anything other than 0 points and -2 for the GD column - but not seen the bantams in actions this season so what do I know.

Table topping Os make the short trip away to Wimbledon - one of the few lower league grounds I've yet to visit so I'm very much looking forward to it.

The Dons are an enigma to me, I don't really know much about their players or style of football, but 8 points from 7 games and 3 defeats on the spin doesn't feel hugely threatening.

Whereas we can't seem to stop winning games at the moment, even when not playing particularly well. I imagine the Dons will be keen to stop the rot so could be a tight, cagey game.

Would I take a draw now if offered?

Probably not, I think we can get the 3 points, Os to edge it 0 - 1. Kelman to score.

Don’t fancy this game at all, think we’ll lose but should take it as a bit of a free hit as the season won’t be defined by a loss at a team who’ve won every match so far this season at home and sit above us. 0-2

Funnily enough, I'm the opposite. I fancy us more to get something from this game than I did going to Colchester. I was proved right with Colchester, so hopefully I'm right on Saturday.

I seem to think we have a recent decent record at Field Mill?

Missing this and Tranmere games as going on holiday tomorrow. Be nice to think another 4 points have been added to the points tally by the time I return from holiday in time for the Stevenage game.

2-2 at Field Mill for me

I think we’ve been lucky and are yet to have played anywhere near our potential. We are a fit team so will keep going until the final whistle but we are on the whole a very young and inexperienced side. Tactically we can be naive or react too slowly. Having 2 of our first choice centre halves out isn’t helping. I think the whole team underperformed on Saturday although I’m taking nothing away from a very good Mansfield side, so I think they owe the manager a performance

Watch out for the dark arts. They have it mastered to perfection.

Never threatened us once at Valley Parade on the first day of season and they had no intention to do They celebrated the 0-0 draw as though they had won the league.

Hope you beat them

This is probably the first time this season where we are expected to win. How we will deal with being the favourites we will have to see.

Still crying about being unable to beat 10 men for 50 mins?

Not at all. I said on the day we were not good enough to beat you. Soup Ladle asked what to expect from your lot and I answered as I saw it

Tranmere and Stockport. Two similar clubs that have followed each other around the leagues, although we didn’t quite manage to plummet to the depths they did. Happy their back in the league but have a sneaking feeling I’ll be cursing come 21:40 Friday night.

No need for us to be an enigma for you lol. If you score first you'll win . You'll probably win anyway. Our squad lacks depth and quality. This is mainly due to outstanding debt we still have on the stadium. Paying that off goes before investing in the team. The majority of our supporter's will be turning up on Saturday expecting us to lose. We have some decent player's just not enough of them. We are all getting a bit fed up with our manager's set in stone style of play. This involves our defender's passing the ball sideways and backwards endlessly going no where. If we continue playing like that on Saturday the crowd will get on their backs . Anyway enjoy your visit. It's a decent ground .

I'm with you, I fancy us to get something. Admittedly if we play anything like Saturday we'll get a pasting but I doubt we will and don't think Mansfield's style is the same as Walsall's anyway.

Gilliead is back so that's an instant upgrade on Sutton in CM (which will also help Smallwood) and we've got two attackers in Young and Cook who are bang in form.

1-1in a very open game for me.

We are very good at home(best in the country recently maybe?) but do indeed have quite a few out at the minute, although we still managed to get it right against Donny. Already 7k+ sold for Saturday.

I have not tried to predict a score since 25 Jan 2015 but feel this will be an open entertaining game where both sides will get chances.

My fear too. It looked like a much better performance from Stocky at the weekend. Moving the game Friday night means I miss it due to work, though will fork out for the Ifollow

Our first ever trip to this exact corner of leafy Surrey as we head to AFC Wombles. Our paths have actually very rarely crossed as Wimbledon’s original meteoric rise in the 80s coincided with our terminal decline to lower-league also-rans. Imagine we’ll chuck in a nice cataclysmic defeat to offset our good start. 4-0 Wombles after an early sending off for Dan Happe.

We’ve lost all three away games so far and have very little pace/counter attacking threat so unless we manage to boss possession I can’t see us getting anything.

Easy away win then. You'll have nowt to adapt to tactically and we are totally unfit so I expect you to steamroller us in the second half as every other fucker does. Pools 1-4 Doncaster.

All of that is irrelevant against us. It should be us time-wasting to keep the margin of defeat under 3 goals

We’re into must win territory already - home to Newport.

Must win for the manager really. He really should be getting a lot more out of the players at his disposal than a mass of draws.

1 win 7, 1 loss in 7 is shite - however you look at it.

Pull your finger out, Lindsey!

Will be nice to see the away end sold out.

Cook will definitely score, we’re half decent at home and last seasons game was a pretty open affair.

2-2
