So now a lot are 25% of the way through the season. What are your thoughts? Are your clubs performing above your expectations? or were you expecting a little bit more from them?

For us (Halifax) we had another disrupted pre season where some of our better players King and Earing moved onto Chesterfield and Walsall respectively.. whilst we also sold Byrne to Hartlepool and Hyde to Wrexham

Big credit to Wild for rebuilding again and finding some decent players. Wild is the biggest asset this club has at the moment

Standout player. well Waters has 8 in 11 for the club but it's hard to just pick one. We have a small squad so when injuries strike during the winter months it will be interesting to see how we deal with that.

Almost half way to safety after 11 games though is a good starting point.

After a slow start, we are starting to pi$$ this tinpot league.

Played 11 and sat on 22 points so running at an average of 2 points a game atm.

Can’t complain at that, maintain that for the foreseeable (as difficult as it will be) and we’ll be right up there. Could have been even better if we hadn’t messed up late against Torquay, Wrexham & Bromley (6 points dropped in those 3 very late on), but that’s going to happen at this level I guess.

Out of the 11 games, 7 of those have been away as well, not sure how the fixture generator worked that one out, seems a bit of an overkill on away games? We’ve done well considering as our away record so far is 4 W / 2 D / 1 L which is pretty decent tbf. Win our home games and that should take care of itself

He was slamming Wild for letting "half our squad" go in summer, rubbished everyone he brought in and predicted a relegation battle. When we lost the first game and again at Yeovil, he excoriated Wild's tactical nous and claimed he STILL hadn't learned those "lessons" HE claimed he needed to "learn". Now Wild is "the biggest asset the club has"! Yeah, and Shayshite is the biggest ARSEHOLE we have. What an absolute JOKE this twat is.

Wild and his brand of football has been a breath of fresh air since the moment he arrived in 2019. It was obvious he was a guy who knew what he was doing and each season the team has stepped up a level from the one before. Clowns like Shayshite and the other idiot NEVER saw this and have wanted rid of him throughout. I've followed this club a lot of years and so have the guys I sit with, and we all agree there is something special going on at the club right now. The performance level this season has been up there with the best we've seen from our teams. The chairman (that guy Shayshite described as being "as corrupt as they come" a few weeks ago- a claim as groundless as it is libellous and outrageous) knows this too, he knows this season is our best chance since 2006 to get out of here, I predict he will dip into his own pocket to bring in whatever players are needed to get us over the line next spring. Up The Shaymen.

We've been unconvincing and once the teams with games in hand around us pick up a few points we'll be sat mid table, bang average.
We've not beaten a team above half way in the table yet but we're not without hope, we've some good players here but somehow we need to toughen up. Thrown ten points away from winning positions which shows we have it in us to get the points but struggle to see the game out.

Given the teams we’ve played we’re about 5-6 points down on where most people expected us to be and Brian Rix could have starred in 2 out of our 3 defeats(look him up kids).

On the up side our more talented players are generally performing, we’re scoring plenty of goals, we’ve 2 weeks until our next league match to get everyone fit, and I have a sneaking suspicion we’ll do a lot better against the stronger teams. (no Woking and Halifax, that doesn’t include you).

8 points already looks a lot to make up on PSGrimsby though.

On the other hand, we were going along nicely enough results wise until our goalkeeper and all three senior centre halves got injured in the same week, which is going to be a challenge for any team to deal with.

I think we’re trying to unnecessarily over complicate things. Wootton, Roberts and Rodrigues are, as expected, scoring and creating plenty of goals, so there’s an argument we just need to be solid and organised behind that. But we’re currently refusing to play a single holding midfielder, so…

I wish we’d change our approach off the ball as well. We don’t really press at all, just drop back into our shape and wait until we’re given at back. We know we don’t like defending crosses and balls into the box, so I’m not sure why we don’t try and win the ball back higher and keep it at the end where we do our best work.

Personally think we’re a midfielder short - Matt Palmer is class, but asking him to play as a one-man midfield every game isn’t really fair.

With one or two notable exceptions, Danny Searle assembled a squad totally unsuitable for this league. New manager Mark Molesley will have to play the hand he’s been dealt, although the purse strings seem to have been loosened a little. MM is going to need exceptional motivational skills and a good deal of luck to lift this squad out of the mire.
Not optimistic, but with only 3 going down, and Dover doomed, we might have a chance.

Not a bad start at all. Abit of “what could have been!?” Within that too as we really should have had 6 points extra really with 2 96th min equalisers and not beating Wrexham as we should have.
Dropped silly points against Dover too which I hope doesn’t come back to bite us.
I think we’ve now got 7/8 injuries as well for players that could all start for us so I can see the next few weeks being tricky if we don’t bring anyone in as we might struggle to fill the bench at this rate!

On the plus side, I really like the look of Nemane now he’s broken into the team. We have a tendency to dick about with the ball trying fancy stuff, so his run really quickly towards the goal approach is refreshing sometimes. Can’t remember the last time we were this much of a threat from attacking set pieces either, Roberts and Palmer’s delivery is generally bang on and we look like scoring from corners constantly.

Feels like we’re not far off, but we’ve been saying this for two years and can’t seem to find that extra thing.

Barnet have learned the lesson that Harry Kewell was useless. We've got a fairly decent squad, 8 points from last 12. Unbeaten in last 4, we are getting it together under Dean Brennon.

Yes, one was against you guys on the opening day when your squad were still getting to know each other, and the other was against Dover.

We will not stay up without additions to the squad. A bizarre retained list and poor summer signings have put us in trouble.

Weve been far too inconsistent, but a couple of poor performances (Tuesday being one) aside I'm reasonably happy (although if we don't improve soon that will change). We need some more quality in midfield in January but considering the games we've had so far this season our return isn't too bad. I worked out that for the same fixtures last season we got something like 5 points.

Our patchy start also means a lot of people (including some of our own fans) have written us off already.
