Accessing the Forum

I got ads on my phone when full screen in the shoutbox today at the bottom of the screen covering the member list.

Trying to access the site is now almost hopeless, since being unable to get on using chrome with adblocker there are bloody annoying adverts everywhere, including loud mouth shouty American audio adverts advising me where to invest, I might just give this site a break until it's fixed properly.

Fixed in what way mate? Nothing is broken.

The Ads haven't been touched and are the same layout wise as they were 1 year, or 6 months ago.

FWIW, I will upload my screenshots from my Iphone, as I seem to have ads also - but only when I'm logged out? If I log in, they dissapear immediately, bar 1 or 2 small ones. In what way is it making it unsuable? Are you having to close down any browsers in order to post? Can you still view and read threads, reply to them etc without having to physically close/interact with any ad etc?

I get that in the footer of any thread. But it's out of the way, doesn't pop up or make any noise, get in the way of replying, slow the page down etc? Infact, I had to search for it to know it was there.


I get that at the very bottom of the home page when logged in. I rarely scroll that low so I've not noticed it.

Not that I want my post to seem like I'm dismissing what you are saying, at all, obviously if there's any issues, please make it known thoroughly and it can be passed on TB, who covers this department.

If you could take pictures of the homepage, threads, etc. Let me know if there's a pop up from any or its stopping access to type in the reply box.

Fair question, my concern is that I have always accessed this site using chrome with ABP as my preferred browser which up until a few weeks ago worked well, now the screen freezes once I select a thread to open, this doesn't happen with any other site or programme, so to access 1FF now I have to change browsers, either Microsoft edge (windows 10) or use safari from the ipad neither of which ABP is compatible......just saying mate.

Well you kind of are dismissing it really Saddle. The site is a bit of a mess at the moment just take a look at the state of PM's for some evidence. I've also had some redirects to the play store at random intervals on my phone.

I'm trying to renew Site Supportership (will also help with ads) but the PayPal link is broken. And before you ask, I don't currently have internet banking set up. It also will only allow me the £10.00 per year upgrade.

This looks more like a page load error (ie not a regular occurrence) rather than a fault with the code. Does the advert overlap the new threads display on every pageview?

Displaying correctly for myself on guest & member view.

That's what I was getting and it also appeared to slow my moving around down a fair bit. However good to report better this morning.....

Cumberland who i convinced to jump over from 1FF has a problem when logging in, seems all he gets is loads of script error messages and when he clears them they keep popping straight back up again so he can't access the site anyone got any ideas? He'll be a welcome addition to the League 2 forum as he's a decent fella.
