Sorry Urban what was that from the ex champions of the national league, don't worry sure you will get a chance to be champions of it again soon.....

The humbling experience of being shit enough to get relegated to non-league and then getting beaten to the post by a club with 174,473 fewer fans than you has definitely finished then, I see. But yes - well done on your promotion(s), I'm sure you'll be back mixing it with United and Liverpool in no time, it's the least your MASSIVE ATTENDANCES deserve.

In all seriousness, it's true though. I've never known a set of fans so fixated on attendances as the Rovers fans on here. Who gives a shit if your pitch invasion picture had more people in it? Why is it relevant in this thread?

Think you will find I responded to a Grimsby supporter who shared their pitch invasion at Braintree first, so your picking on the wrong massive club. Or are you to scared they may assault you all with inflatable fish again?

Think you'll find you meant a 'proper pitch invasion' to be one with loads of fans. Why feel the need to even involve yourself in an attendance discussion that you're completely, in no way at all related to? Because you're fixated on having a few thousand more fans than some other clubs. It's such a pointless thing to care about! I also couldn't give less of a shit about a steward and inflatable fish.

Well this is all a tad pathetic. Congratulations to the Wombles, see you at Wembley! Could be on to break the L2 play off record attendance, as I'm sure lots of neutral interest will turn up for AFCW.

Urban lighten up, you have such an inferiority complex, you bite everytime. I knew when I put that picture on one of the Barnet fans would bite also expected the other lot to put on one showing their pitch invasion too. It's a forum it's meant to be lighthearted......

The prospect of them being in the same division as MK Dons next season could make it really interesting.

Yeah, you were trolling eh? Of course... Why you still posting on here?

It's not about an inferiority complex when nearly everytime a Rovers fan posts it's regarding attendances or some other shit, why do you think people care? Go post about it in the L1 forum, I'm sure some clubs up there will show you 'proper support' too

So you've never posted in another league sub-section, Urban?

Lighten up, I laughed and even a City fan got involved in the laugh. Happy thoughts Urban, happy thoughts.

Oh and a thread on here titled away attendances, probably suggest people care about attendances. Do you not care about how many fans come to watch Barnet play? I'd love some clarity of 'some other sh*t' also, does that mean we can't talk about football neither?!

Once the new fixtures are out will do, as for crowd figures Plymouth fans are already crowing about selling over 30,000 and breaking the league 2 record so if they lose Portsmouth, Plymouth, probably Donnie too will go on about attendances. Any way hope Wimbledon win at Wembley as they deserve it for the long haul their supporters have had

What do you expect? They have a massive inferiority complex due to being by far the smaller of the two clubs in Bristol and they try to make themselves feel better by giving it the biggun to traditionally smaller clubs. That's why I felt the need to step in and put them in their place.. Sorry for contributing to derailing the thread.

Back on topic, congrats AFCW!

Anyway, as you say, congrats to Wimbledon. Got to feel for the Accy fans though, that must be devastating

I can see the interest from neutrals but far from being an incentive, for me that's the biggest downside if we go up. Much prefer to just gracefuly glide past them, perhaps raising a slight eyebrow, as they tumble into the depths of hell from which they were summoned rather than have the freak show in town.

Really enjoyed the match last night and to be fair you could have said whoever went through would have deserved it as both teams played well.
Glad Wimbledon got through though. As a footballing 'romantic' it's great to see them climbing back up the leagues and I am sure promotion will be sweetened even more by the fact that they will be on an even keel with MK Dons

Well done AFC but Accy probably shouldn't have been in that situation if the Kettle hadn't boiled?

I just put the picture of ours up to take the piss out of ourselves as Terminator had said something about pitch invasions in Semi Finals, didn't mean to start any arguments sorry, just messing about!

What's the attendance looking like for this? I imagine Plymouth will talks bloody loads. Is this also AFC's first trip to Wembley? Could see a really good attendance for this one.

Fair play to AFC getting to the final, Ardley has done a really good job progressing AFC.

The prospect of AFCW meeting MK on an equal footing in the same division is remarkable. However I imagine Plymouth start as favourites?

I think 60-65k is realistic. We've sold 30k(some sourcces say less and some more) after one day of general sale, so we should hit 40k. Meaning the Wombles and any other Landoners who fancy a day out for 20-25k? Not unrealistic by any stretch of the imagination.

Sure. You console yourselves with petty generalisations, I'll console myself with the fact that we are light years ahead of you. :)

First proper match there. We played Corinthian Casuals at Wembley to celebrate their 125th(?) anniversary back in 2008.

The conference playoff against Luton was at the Etihad.

But in the grander context we have made more strides forward in the last two years then we have in the 15 before. So although I completely agree with your present situation being years ahead of us I think light years Is a massive over estimation. Time will tell, football can be a cruel mistress 9 years ago Bolton and Portsmouth were miles ahead of us both.....

Didn't they have a little match against Liverpool a few years ago?

Well done Wimbledon, as a Northampton fan living in Bromley I am desperately hoping you get promotion so I have another fairly local away game. Good luck for the final, may possibly see you at Wembley.

It was half time and 0-0. They were hard done by but I don't think you can chalk it up as a game that they definitely would have won.

I think we will hit 20k+.

Think Wimbledon will do it because the last time Sutton won a league, Wimbledon won the play-offs in their league

Good luck Wombles!
