So why the pettiness from the club in the official programme if you have all those things and are at the same level as MK Dons and have a new ground on the way?
Until it happens to you, you will never understand. I am generally a moderate on this but others will never forget or forgive. Remember most people running club , programme etc were also involved back then and have very strong feelings on this matter. The pettiness as you describe or hatred will never dim for some

As said earlier, I fully understand the fans being like that. It is unprofessional for the club programme or its representatives to be publically like that in the way they are for this fixture, even though in private they probably think that.

As a hypothetical, if a Steward has the same approach as the senior club officials which leads to trouble at the game and to Wimbledon getting a fine, who is to blame? Bear in mind that the Steward has only followed the club's attitude/culture to this fixture. Is the steward wrong to have this attitude?

Just because we worked hard to get where we are now doesn't mean the move was right, and the hostility that comes from our side now is often in response to MK fans and Winkleman or whoever saying stupid inflammatory things.
See I'd have to say the it's the opposite in my opinion, the hostility that comes from us is usually down to something ridiculous from Kingston fans/officials

One of my mates is coming to the match with me, and he has a curse of always seeing us lose.

So you know who to blame if we do lose :(

I wouldn't put it past the cheating Franchise scum players to go down claiming that they've been hit by something thrown from the crowd tomorrow & basically try to con the ref into getting the game abandoned.

Games against your rivals are probably the best for atmosphere and pre-match there's always that bit of adrenaline that needs calming with a few drinks.

There will always be idiots, in general the idiots for both teams normally attract each other and leave the fans that just want to watch the football alone. If you're that scared then don't wear colours and keep yourself to yourself and you'll be fine.

This one will be the worst because it's the first at AFC and it's unknown how everything will plan out.

'Kingston'.

What will you call us when we're back (yes - for most of the fans at least - it will a return) in a stadium on Plough Lane SW19?
Honestly? I'll probably say exactly the same.

No more antagonistic than 'franchise' and whatever else you lot call us. I'm just paying homage to where you've played for the lifespan of the club

Well that was more fun than usual. Thought Mk looked lightweight. Passed ball OK but no real threat.

BCS. You of all people should know better than to label a whole fanbase because of a few keyboard warriors.
You do have your own in the shape of Godslming MKDon who continually advocates violence on your forum.

Even your own fans call yourself franchise. Can't be deemed that offensiv or derogatory.

Wow it wasn't a dream. Absolutely beautiful result and the atmosphere was electric. Lost my voice though, just said good morning to my dad and I sound like Rocky Balboa.

1st half wasn't the best game of football ever, but throughout the game every Wimbledon player worked his socks off. In the 2nd half we upped the tempo, they couldn't deal with us. Taylors goal was a perfect finish. Keeper had no chance.

How worried are Milton Keynes fans now, fearing a double relegation?

Not worried at all about relegation in all honesty, and if we go down so be it.

fair play to AFC Wimbledon last night, your team were up for it, ours weren't in fact a number of them showed they have no bottle for a fight when needed.Certainly wasn't the intimidating atmosphere some were expecting, and you made some good noise after the two goals.

Also fair play to all of your members/staff/helpers, they were all respectful and professional and that's all we can ask for, few little skirmishes throughout the night but nothing to write home about.

Our Chairman coming in with the fans took some balls (fair play to him) I'm sure some AFC fans wouldn't agree.

The only thing IMHO you got wrong on the night was the programme, had you done a normal programme then you'd certainly have been seen as having the higher moral ground - think quite a few found it all a bit childish, but that's my opinion.

That's the first one out of the way at your place, let's see what it's like next season.

COYD ;)

First time I've seen what Wimbledon do being described as football this season.

Ha Ha bitter? Not much. We play nice football when we need and bully the mentally and physically weak when required. Horses for courses!

Oxalona too worried about playing 'nice' football and forget we are in the 3rd division in England?

Shall I?
... yes ok

That's why the 'best team in League Two' finished 13 points behind the champions.

Get off your high horse.

(Also well done Dons!)

It's professional sport not a tea dance. You change tactics to exploit the weakness of each individual opponent.

It's amazing how all the cloggers in this league are actually fantastically adaptable pinnacles of human evolution, with the same overweight thugs also capable of executing superb, flowing, passing football at the blink of an eye. Not one team of thugs have beaten us this year without the caveat that they can "play nice stuff if they want". It makes me wonder how OUFC are so deficient in only being able to play one way, yet demonstrably better than all of said teams (quick glance at a League table tells me that).

You support a bunch of hoof merchants and the sooner you take any comment that isn't a pat on the head on board, the sooner you will stop feeling the need to respond to someone when you know they're having you on.
