No it wouldn't. The majority of united players I've selected used to smash arsenal time & time again - the same arsenal that featured your best selections. Good team is yours - perhaps even technically better - it wouldn't stand up to 90 against with dogs like Stam, Heinze, Keane, Pogba - delivery of Beckham - scholes killing it and Giggs linking with Ronaldo. No way. This team is the perfect balance of tenacious killers and technical wizards.
I think you have misunderstood how we are evaluating the players.
it is based on their club performances, achievements and ability at the specific club ONLY.

I do not think Pogba or Veron are fit for inclusion :told:

Why do you rank Heinze ahead of Irwin and Evra too? :conf:

De Gea's Manchester United career ahead of both Schmeichel and van der Sar?

Great to see Kanchelskis' name though. Steve Bruce sadly just missed out on the final cut of my squad too.
This is the best team not collection of individuals. I left Schmeichel out because I believe De Gea is a better technical goalie - schmeichel was a general but with Stam & Keane this team could compromise that for a better technical goalie.

Heinze was solid technically and hard as fuck. Irwin was great but it's savage out there and Heinze was a warrior

Pogba is the engine house for Keane & scholes.

Veron is a great cultured option for the bench if they were to lose scholes to injury.

And btw bollox to your criteria - the answer for your criteria would be mathematical but it wouldn't yield the "all time team". Tell me how any team would beat what I've listed - break it down - identify strengths & weaknesses - advise how it would tactically achieve your ideals.

Schmeichel

Beckham Scholes Keane Giggs
Ronaldo Cantona

It had to be 4-4-2.

Find me even one Manchester united fan who would rank De Gea over Schmeichel. This isn't FIFA.

Heinze was solid technically and hard as fuck. Irwin was great but it's savage out there and Heinze was a warrior
Heinze was undeniably a tough tenacious defender but a better Manchester United player than Irwin and Evra??:ffs: I think even Sir Alex Ferguson would name Evra or Irwin his preferred left back.

Pogba is the engine house for Keane & scholes.
Keane and Scholes was probably the best midfield partnership I have ever seen in English Premier league history :hail: I don't think it is lacking in the "engine department". Pogba hasn't done enough IMO to warrant a place. He isn't even the most important midfielder in Manchester United's current team. I feel like his best football has been at Juventus and for France.

Veron is a great cultured option for the bench if they were to lose scholes to injury..
Probably a better option for a Serie A team. Not an All-Time Manchester United XI :gr:

Ad hominem!
Do not hide behind insults. :giphy:Come at me with a solid argument, otherwise it is you who looks the fool

I couldn't argue with this selection. Stam's prime was unbelievable. Good to see Beckham in the team too. I may take out RVN and do the same, move Ronaldo to the forward line :2thumb:

I posted a superior Manchester United team in the OP :bdick: It would beat yours every time. In a 90 minute match, over two legs or a season. Stevencc has also just selected a better XI too.

Just because you have been confronted with two opinions that do not agree with your warped position, that does not mean they are the same person :ffs: :fl: I don’t know what logical fallacy this is called - appeal to paranoia??? :gr:

I actually like this team quite a lot. Izzet and Elliot are top inclusions.

It would be close for me. Macca was one of my faves growing up.

That doesn't make him a better player. I regularly watched him back in the day, Coutinho is better.

Being a better player doesn't automatically make him the number one pick. McManaman was consistently excellent whilst Coutinho wasn't until these last two seasons. Not much in it imo.

I thought you'd go for Coutinho out of the two because he went to your preferred Spanish club while McManamananaman went to Real.

Maybe it just comes down to Macca's lovely hair back in the day.

Would it fuck. You've got a two man midfield with two guys who have no pace - cantona behind ruud - Neville & Irwin. Are you trying to pick the slowest team ever?

My team would smash yours - it's that simple. Neville & Gabriel would stay back to thwart the counter from Ronnie & Giggs (your only source of pace) and you'd be utterly bereft of attacking threat. My three man midfield would dominate the ball leaving your two man chasing shadows. Cantona & Ruud would be spare parts due to lack of physical prowess. It'd be an easy game for my boys.

Football has moved on from kick & rush 4-4-2. Your tactical knowledge is lacking to put it mildly - stop embarrassing yourself.

McManaman wasn't consistently excellent. You're looking back with nostalgia with that one. He had good and mediocre games and periods just like Coutinho.

Even still there isn't much in it for me, and I'd still pick McManaman.

It's the 'Mc' prefix in his surname, isn't it?

Your tactical knowledge doesn't appear to be too clever if i'm honest, all I see in this post is pace, pace, pace! Do you play Fifa much? It's the sort of warped logic that Fifa has instilled in the brains of kids all over the world! Football is about more than just running fast! You should know that very well being a Swansea fan and watching Nathan Dyer regularly.

Haven't looked at the 2 teams so can't comment on that, just your pace, pace, pace mentality and then criticism of somebody else's tactical knowledge caught my eye.
