Your obsession is unhealthy. What about the best fact, Jake Caprice is the fastest player in the division. That’s amazing.
Our record is on point spread is a little bizarre too. We've played 22 games against teams in the top half and taken 32 points. In 20 games against teams in the bottom half, we've taken 24 points. Go figure.
Also, it's a stat that goes back through last season and into the 16-17 season, but we've not had a player sent off for a straight red offence in our last 120 games.
With the obvious exceptions like FGR, has anyone had fewer promotions in the football league than us. We’ve had just the 2, back in 1939 and 1980 so we are due another now.

£10 on relegation. Thanks for the tipAnyone else ever been promoted then relegated, then promoted again, then relegated again in four successive seasons? That was us 94-98, the four seasons prior to the famous Jimmy Glass goal.
Also, since the merger of divisions 3 north and south in 1958, the longest we've spent in a single division was the Old Second Division (i.e. current championship) at 9 years. We've not spent longer than six years at this level (this will be our fifth) so watch out for us next season (could go either way that one).
Speaking of promotion and relegation, and it's nothing to do with us, but one of the local sides around here, Gainsborough Trinity, suffered their first ever promotion/relegation in their entire history last season! In our 125 year history we've had 6 promotions and 4 relegations. We weren't relegated at all until 1985.
Wouldn't call them 'amazing' stats but...
Dean Lewington (at the grand old age of 34) has the most assists for a LB in the top four tiers of English football this season, and made his 700th career appearance in January.
According to transfermarkt.co.uk we have the highest market value squad in League Two (£6.12m) this season, which would also make us the 10th most valuable squad in League One - more valuable than Portsmouth. This is mainly due to us having Russell Martin, who according to that website has the highest market value in the league (£1.35m).
Please don’t bring up that site again, it’s utter rubbish.
Ollie Banks undervalued by at least 10m and doesn’t have Jake Caprice 99 fifa pace included either. That the one that has Ismael Miller Tranmeres most valuable asset rather than James Norwood!
Please don’t bring up that site again, it’s utter rubbish.
You're right in that it's not accurate on an individual player basis, but I'd say the overall team values aren't too far off. Hard to disagree with where they rank the Prem and Championship teams overall values, so probably applies to L1/L2 as well. E.g. Sunderland top of L1 values which is obviously true.
But you're right, their individual player values especially are ridiculous.
Realistically most League two players aren’t worth a penny as clubs just poach them and advise them to run contracts down.
If you're going to try and be funny, at least get it right.Think i read somewhere that Danny Whitaker played his 1000th game for Macclesfield this season, that’s some going that.*
*If you’ve never read the non league section then you won’t know what the fuck I’m on about.

As of a couple of weeks ago, each team at the top of the top 5 tiers of English football began with an L
(Liverpool, Leeds, Luton, Lincoln and Leyton Orient)... there are only 6 teams beginning with L in total in those 5 leagues (Leicester being the odd one out). Not amazing but a bit of a weird coincidence.
Then Norwich came along
Yep 5 in a row, Promoted relegated promoted relegated promoted.I think the old Wimbledon side of the late seventies had numerous promotions and relegations in successive seasons
