How did they pull that out of the fire? Nothing on offense for the first half, so I gave up watching.
No idea. Rams were far too cautious with Goff and never gave him any deep throws, allowed us to stay in touch despite being horrific on offense for 3 and a half quarters and then Devante Parker became a God.

I think 10 wins are going to be required to get into the playoffs to nip ahead of one of those AFC West contenders (even then it might not be enough). They've won five in a row, but haven't looked impressive in any of the games apart from the Steelers. Winning five games by a combined 18 points and they really should have lost to the Bills and the Rams.

49ers - W
Ravens - L
Cardinals - W
Jets - W
Bills - L
Patriots - L

10-6?

A few of those games could go either way, I could easily see them winning or losing to the Ravens, Cardinals, Jets and Bills. Only the 49ers and Patriots results seem nailed on to me, unless the Patriots have secured the AFC top seed by week 17.

They are in big trouble if their offensive line doesn't get healthy.

9 and 7 according to that. They could beat either the Bills or Ravens to go 10 and 6, which could be borderline.

Dolphins will likely beat us on the final day so thats a win there. If the Pats can in win in Denver in a couple of weeks the #1 seed will likely be locked up before then and Miami always play us tough down there. Think they've won the last 3 times we've played there.

That's not to say I think they make the playoffs. Just can't trust Tannehill as to be honest I think he's useless and that's with a decent running game now and a good receiving core.

Can't complain too much about the win on Sunday for the Pats other than to say we made pretty hard work of it (somewhat aided by the conditions in fairness). Still not a fan of the defense, I know the points per game stat is up there but when you see the QB's they've come up against apart from Wilson and to a lesser extent Palmer it's hardly been a murderers row.

I don't rate him either but heard a stat yesterday that he's only the 3rd QB ever to pass for 15,000 yards in his first 3 seasons or something, along with Marino and Manning.

Just got back from a 3 game jaunt in the States, Washington vs USC, Minnesota vs Northwestern and Vikings vs Cardinals. Huskies game was the first college game I've done, luckily I have plenty of friends in Seattle so I was well looked after with a proper tailgate before the game, atmoshpere was fucking nuts until late in the 4th quarter but even then there were still plenty of USC fans to be heard, shame Washington came up short (typical for their sports teams when I'm there to be fair) but it was still an entertaining game. Minnesota vs Northwestern was possibly the coldest I've ever been, first of the winter storms kicked in the day before and when you're exposed to the elements like that in TCF Bank it's pretty tough to handle, the stadium got noticeably emptier after halftime :) . And as for the Vikings, number 1 what a game, to see a 100 yard INT return and 104 yard kickoff return for the Vikings was incredible, the last Cards drive was just agonising as well as we tried to throw it away, and number 2 what a stadium, absolutely incredible, well worth a visit for any NFL fan.

Hopefully these pictures work as they're straight off my Facebook:

That's pretty awesome right there Tom, I've still not managed to make any NFL game yet but it's high up there on the things to do list, I think I'll be more open to the warmer climates rather than Minnesota though, hope you enjoyed it.

That Minnesota stadium is ridiculous. Knew it was big but not quite how big until I saw that pic. Jeez.

Would love to get to a couple of games myself (wouldn't we all). A Bills game ofc and then one in a decent stadium / city also. Don't get the impression the Ralph is a great place to go watch football or Buffalo a great place to go see.

So loyalties aside, city + game... Denver and Chicago would be high on my list I reckon.

What 'bout you?

I've done Minnesota, Seattle and New York (Jets vs Giants), if I was a neutral then Seattle is probably the best all round of the 3, great atmosphere and being in the immediate downtown vicinity is great, Minnesota has the best stadium (also downtown but not a patch on Seattle) and the Meadowlands the best for proper tailgating, all have their pros.

I should get Washington done next year as I have a friend out there for the first month of the season, and I know people in Kansas City so that's always an option, but neither would be high on my overall wishlist if it weren't for that. Probably Dallas I'd say, very keen to do Texas and the Cowboys stadium looks like its well worth a visit. Plus it'd be warm unlike everywhere I've been so far.

That's awesome Tom_CUFC. A friend of mine who's a massive Vikings fan is travelling with his missus to watch the game vs. the Bears on New Years Day. Not jealous at all...

I'm definitely going to Pittsburgh next year and will make sure I get to a Steelers and Penguins game when I'm out there. I was contemplating this year but unfortunately they have been/are on the road when I've had time off. Canton looks like a 2-3 hour drive too so it would be rude not to take in a visit to the Pro Football HOF.

First time watching Sky Sports coverage this season, so I have 5 questions.

1) an audience in the studio?!?!
2) where's KC?
3) where's Cecil?
4) without Cecil in the studio, who will carve?
5) will they trust Neil with a knife? (No, no they won't.)

1) Turkey Day Special!
2) On day release in a half empty pub in Northwest London (which appeared to be showing Europa League on TV).
3) Airbrushed from history like a former Stalinist aide.
4 + 5) Well Dara is deffo an expert when it comes to butchering links!

She did her best Bleedin' Gums Murphy impression.

I don't know how to feel about half-time, my body felt very uncomfortable throughout. I think my consciousness was trying to escape the experience.

I was wondering when the real Sam Bradford would show up this season.

Happy thanksgiving everyone, I've been stuffing my face since 5pm and the Lions have won, what a day!

It's almost December and the Lions are leading the division, leading it, nosebleed territory, last won a division title in 1993 when there was no such thing as the NFC North.
It wasn't pretty, the Vikings D was much better than the reverse fixture and fortunately you don't have to do much against the Vikings O so you get away with an average D.
Once again though the end of the 4th quarter and this team comes up big. Destiny in their own hands and all that.

Cowboys win!!!

Hell of a lot of Herman has accepted LSU talk on the Twitters.

Why can't I have an unalloyed good day.

Can't wait for the Mike Tomlin effect of playing down to the opposition to kick in tonight. If a Scott Tolzien led Colts manage to beat us tonight then he deserves to be fired.

Erugh, Harbaugh had a meltdown and Michigan found a way to lose. Even with that loss the season for Michigan has been the best in years, Peppers might not declare for the draft so things might be even better next season.

Things just got very interesting for the playoff committee. Penn State win to take the division and play Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship game, frankly one of those should be going to the playoffs, even though they'll have more losses than OU and the same as Michigan. Some 'expert' on ESPN can see a scenario where Michigan and OU both still get in and the Big Ten champ is left out.
The only thing sure is Alabama and Clemson will be there, as long as OU don't win it (be hilarious if they are left out altogether) I really don't care who does.

Carel - I saw it was 23 minutes between the official firing of Strong and the official hiring of Herman, quick stuff indeed.

Fantasy fuck up of the day by me - go to add a running back for today intending to drop Jared Goff and then accidentally drop Davante Adams instead. Just as well my only real target for the rest of the season is a Jeff Fisher record!
