Haven't minded them so much in recent years but I do still remember one AFC Championship game where Peyton led them back from a massive deficit against us and it took a while to get over that one.

In regards to Luck, in my opinion he's done a good job for Indy. Don't think he's without his flaws though particularly in terms of the fact he turns the ball over a hell of a lot more than a top QB really should. Can't argue with his record taking them to the post-season each year he's been there mind.

Gronk actually looks better than he has in a long time. No worries with the arm now, he does wear a protector on it. His most recent issue was the ACL last year but after about 5 games he has been back to his old self as probably one of the biggest matchup nightmares in the league.

I'd have to say the NFC as a whole is probably stronger just about though I feel the gap is narrower than it has been. I think if Colts win tonight they will lose easily to either of them but we can certainly beat Green Bay though less sure with Seattle.

Being in a division where the other three teams haven't had settled QB's has helped Luck reach the post-season every year since he's been in the league.

PH - Kevin Cadle still presents the NFL. Love the guy, although Carel's favourite pundit has been taking over the reigns of Saturday night games during the playoffs.

Good old Kev! There used to be times when he literally had no idea what he was rambling on about, he just resorted to making noises. I thought he was losing the plot a bit, and that was 3 or 4 years ago. So Neil Reynolds is now anchor for saturday play off games? Did he anchor any of the regular season?

I never saw him anchor although I spent the majority of the regular season watching RedZone on Sky Go.

I think he might have anchored when they had them Saturday games in the regular season at the end. To be honest I don't mind Reynolds, he gets a bit of a bad rap at times. Skys coverage is much better with Jeff Reinebold there now, need a bit of Cecil though just to lighten the mood a bit.

Re Luck that's true however the Texans in his first year were a pretty good team at least until they got a bit exposed by the Pats in primetime. Fortunately as you say with the Jags and Titans anyway he can get away with a lot of the interceptions and fumbles but still he took a team that was 2-14 the year before he joined and turned them around.

On the subject of the Colts I see Trent Richardson was left behind in Indy today. Given two teams have given up first rounders for him he surely has to go down as one of the biggest busts of all time now.

Didn't really post on the old forum about football. however, huge niners fan.

Suffered through the Nolan and Singletary periods. Unfortunately, Tomsula is sending us back to mediocrity. It screams as appointing a yes man, and likely to lose us Fangio. Long few seasons coming up as the Vets starts leaving.

It goes without saying I'll be cheering on the packs and colts tonight.

Bad timing with the switch to the new domain/servers, just as we approach the final few minutes of the Packers vs. Seahawks game.

Aye, that said depending how tonight's game goes for the Pats it may not be the worst either.

So for this game then, I'm not sure I can see any real path for Green Bay to win this other than stating the bleeding obvious of Aaron Rodgers playing probably better than he ever has and that is very dependent on how healthy he really is. Can't see it though and if Green Bay do have a weakness against the run then this is the team who will expose it.

Can't see past a Seattle/NE Super Bowl to be honest, hoping for two good games though.

It'll surely be one game to far for Rodgers calf, unfortunately. He was incredibly immobile last week, and the Hawks will pressure him far to much.

I hope I'm wrong, but it's a hawks pats final

The Tomsula thing is a great exercise in cognitive dissonance.

All US writers: "WTF is a Jim Tomsula?"

All UK writers of NFL Europe vintage: "YES! JIMBOOOO!"

Happened when he got the caretaker gig the other year too. All the NFL UK columnists lining up to lob had grenades at Peter King. Heh.

Has our resident Packers fan made it over BTW?

I dug up my old NFLUK account to PM him on there. Hopefully he's seen it.

Think we're just missing Kim Mitten then aren't we if Jimbob signs up?

Love watching that play on the field goal from Kam Chancellor. Polemalu does it better though.

Can't knock his 100% NFL record. As a fan, it just feels uninspiring after JH. That said, the shortlist wasn't exactly inspiring either. It strikes me as one of two things. A yes man, which isn't unheard of for us. Or a punt that he'll motivate a deep roster. When fit, we are strong both sides of the ball.

packers have started with a lot of intensity here.

The coverage from the Seahawks defensive backs is so tight. Sherman is ridiculous.

Hey at least they answered the whole would he throw towards Sherman theme this week.

I think Adams could have possibly done more to interfere with Sherman picking it to be honest.

No idea why he went anywhere near Sherman. I know packers have clearly gone for an aggressive start, but an idiotic decision. Game management is needed

Not even 5 minutes in and already some fantastic plays defensively.

Nice work to get that pick straight away by Green Bay.

I'm with Jeff Reinebold about the unsportsman-like flag. He probably said a couple of rude words to him, so what!
