I won't be voting against it. It might be bad a trade (YMMV), but it's not shenanigans.

What's the etiquette with this anyway? Not that I'm going to, or would. Just wondered. Would seem a bit twattish to block transfers between two other teams. Unless someone is clearly being HELPED to build an all-conquering Championship juggernaut, I guess.

I just look to see if I consider it a fair trade or if someone is taking the piss.

You never know how these trades turn out anyway especially when it comes to involving a D/ST. I remember a couple of years ago it might have been me and Jimbob who did some trade involving me giving up the Texans (#1 ranked D at the time) for a few players which raised a few questions from people. End of that story is the D of the Texans regressed extremely quickly and my players I received turned out garbage too.

I also would say Alfred Morris is someone with a big upside and is far better than anyone on the waiver wire in his position to cover bye weeks so who knows how it will end up.

That trade a few years ago was Bush, Lloyd, and the Cards defence. Bush and Lloyd hadn't done much but were regarded as possibly being poised to break out, esp Lloyd, and the Cards were midranked, so exchanging that for the Texans seemed about right. Then the Texans tanked, Forte became Forte so Bush barely played, and Lloyd did nowt, while Cards did ok. I don't think that trade did much for either of us :D

Fair do's if it's all been done honestly, but Morris is in a three guy committee and barely a flex right now, and the Broncos D shows no sign of regression. I suppose the name value of Morris and there being a chance him being good going forward makes the trade somewhat viable.

What's the deal with votes for and against etc?

Yeah that's my thinking too. I voted against it, just because last night it seemed shady. But if it really has been done properly, I'll bring back my objection. I suppose Ds are extremely volatile in 1FF.

I just raised the question of what the etiquette was really as this is my first time doing an 1FF and I didn't know if you lads had some longstanding unwritten rules or suchlike.

Last few posts have been interesting to read though.

But like I said, I'm probably not going to object to owt unless it's clearly people in cahoots playing silly boggers near the end of the season. Don't see it as my business really, and I probably don't care enough to go kicking up stinks either.

Not really been that arsed about checking out trades that have been offered to me (sorry Jimbob), never mind those between others. :ohn:

That would be the only reason I'd object, I'm not looking to be an arse.

No worries on not checking out trades, I probably spend far too much time on them and given the amount I've sent I've probably been a massive irritant to some on that front!

Thank god I went out yesterday and didn't get back till 10, didn't have to watch yet another Lombardi offense masterclass live. 1st half was actually alright, good tempo, some nice deep balls, everyone looking pretty solid. Then the 2nd half, what on earth was that! I apologise in advance to anyone going to watch Lions-Chiefs game next week, the only reason I'm still going is in the hope of watching Megatron in the flesh.
this season has one option left, a complete and utter tanking, 1-15, 1st draft pick - oh and complete overhaul of O coaches - I'm even starting to wonder whether Caldwell should go.

Though it looks like it's his last season, can't help but think Chuck Pagano finding himself out of work isn't totally fair. Bar the very odd player, especially on defence, that's not a great team and without Luck they could easily sink to the very bottom like in 2011. A lot of the other top teams have decent defences and/or a premier runner to lean on so could probably manufacture 6-8 wins.

Also, in the last three years they've gotten further each time under Pagano (or Arians etc), so surely it would be Grigson who'd get the boot at least as well as Pagano for a new GM come in with his own guy.

The real problem there is that you can fire the coach, and you can fire the GM, but you can't fire the owner/CEO, who is a fucking lunatic.

True dat. Irsay is probably the worst owner in the NFL and this is a league that contains the likes of Dan Snyder and Woody Johnson.

Grigson has been an awful GM though. Seemed to neglect the need for an O-Line in favour of using high draft picks on another wide receiver (and of course Trent Richardson ). We're seeing the effect of that now with Luck's struggles. Pagano I dunno, he probably sealed his own fate with that fake punt against the Pats but I do agree with Jimbob in general he's been unlucky with the whole clownshoes nature of the organisation.

I pray that they turn into the Miami Dolphins of the past two weeks and also start lobbing balls to Megatron at Wembley. I missed him last year, I just want to see one "holy fuck" catch and the game will have far surpassed my current expectations for Chiefs vs Lions. Also a heavy dose of Charcandrick West for my (other) fantasy team please, I lost Foster in that one. Boo.

Luckily West is gonna come in for Foster for me too. If Gurney hadn't been a beast I'd be up the creek.

Anyone want Delanie Walker, Russell Wilson, Pierre Garcon or the Steelers?

I'll hang fire for now but depending on Antonio Gates injury report may be willing do a swap for Walker (not Gates himself though to stress).

Ah well the unbeaten record is gone then. Kept it close at least.

ecstatic, all the O-line coaches gone as well, superb. Jim Bob Cooter, possibly a bit part actor from the Waltons, takes over as interim OC. Seems he and Stafford have a good relationship and Caldwell is expecting Stafford to improve immediately, hope this will be the case.

"Although Cooter hasn't had any legal problems since becoming an NFL coach, he was arrested twice during his time at Tennessee. In June 2006, Cooter was suspended indefinitely from the Volunteers football program after being arrested and charged with DUI. In 2009, Cooter was hit with an aggravated burglary charge after he "climbed through a woman's window, stripped down to his underwear and got into bed with the woman," according to WVLT-TV in Knoxville."

Seems a bit of a clusterfuck there in Houston. Been reported BO'B wanted to do it after he missed the flight to the game on Sunday but the GM refused to sanction it. Mallett is an idiot though, only got himself to blame and if BO'B of all people thinks he's more trouble than he's worth it doesn't look good for his future in the game.

This was the season for him to really stamp his mark and make a name for himself in the NFL instead he has let himself down in every possible way and has probably thrown his career away.

You can't blame BO'B, he's turned up late for training, missed a flight, sulked like a little kid during the Atlanta game, some of which could be forgiven if he was doing the business on the field but his performances have been well below par. Correct decision but where the hell do Houston go from here with Savage on IR.

Looks like Bobbin the Texans are going back to TJ Yates. At this point he can hardly do worse.

I don't know why the Texans let Case Keenum go previously, I felt he showed a fair deal of promise a couple of years ago, had a rocket of an arm at least.

Yep agreed on Mallett. Extremely unprofessional from him. Guess with the sort of attitude he's displayed this season it's not hard to see why he dropped in the draft like he did to the third round.

Agree on Keenum.

He came back last season and led us to two victories against Baltimore and Jacksonville, he earned himself another crack in my opinion especially as Fitzpatrick was obviously moving on.

Can't add much else, though if it's true I find the GM wanting to keep him a bit strange. Sure they might not be able to get anyone better but to send a message at least to the rest of the roster that unprofessional fringe players won't be retained is surely reason enough to get rid.

In fairness to Rick Smith, I think he wanted to wait until after the weekend before cutting him as opposed to not cutting him at all.

With Savage already on IR and with Hoyer the only QB in Miami, I can understand that.

Mr Kraft™ in fine form on NFL Network. Look of wild panic on host's face as his rambling, barely intelligible anecdote about Willie McGinest liking Kanye West enters its 9th minute, but she knows she can't interject, cos to interrupt the patron saint of dead wives and blue shirts with white collars might cause Jim Nantz to burst into tears.

Gotta love Dion Lewis, such a brilliant addition to the passing game.

Edit - and Gronk aint too bad either. Nice start.

Somebody (Lafell?) blocked two Dolphin defenders out of that play, and they were about 7 yards apart. Which is good going. But not so good going from the defenders.

Aye it was LaFell. If only he can correct his issue from the last game of having aligator arms all will be good.

Will be interested to see how the Dolphins O fares now, they've done well last couple of weeks but this is the first time in that time they've been on their heels at the start of the game.
