Let's all point and laugh at Renegade....

As for Russell Wilson's post-game interview. 'God prepared us, gave us the opportunity to win etc.' - no, Dom Capers and Brandon Bostick fucked up. Simple as.

Indeed, I was half expecting him to go full Ray Lewis for a second.

I think he's a good coach don't get me wrong but yesterday should haunt Mike McCarthy for a long time to come. If they had gone for it on fourth like they should have done the game would have probably have been won. Hopefully a lesson to some of the other coaches who won't take a chance even when the odds say to do it.

Gary Kubiak who confirmed a few weeks back that he wouldn't be interviewed by any teams about a prospective Head Coaching vacancy has today been announced as the new Broncos Head Coach.

Err, so the new/hybrid TFF.

Anyway, nice games yesterday, superb way to see the Packers lose. I really don't know how Rodgers can be considered for MVP this season as whenever he has faced really decent defense, especially on the road, he has been piss poor. JJ Watt will have been utterly robbed if they give it to any QB this season.

Looking forward to the superbowl - actually want the Patriots to win, for one reason only - Revis, great player, appears to be a nice guy off the field, hope he gets a ring. Think they will win as well, firstly they don't have the curse of Welker and secondly I think they will play the Seahawks how they played the Lions earlier in the season. Short passing game and a short running game, never looking to break anything big just consistant short plays that wear down the D. Time management and all that.

As for Kubiak in Denver - meh, I thought they wanted to be annual superbowl partcipants, wanted to get over that final hump etc... Hiring Kubiak screams of mediocrity.
Another job gone for Teryl Austin and looks like Quinn is going to the Falcons, so very very hopeful he is the Lions DC next season.

As a Chargers fan I'm delighted they've got rid of Fox and brought in Kubiak.

As a Lions fan I'm delighted the Bears got Fox in, think he is overrated. He's already said he is looking forward to working with Cutler which means he should be there next season as well, again thank you Chicago. He should improve their defence but it is so bad and has no depth that it could take a few seasons to get the right personnel in for them to have a shot at the post season. The Bears seem to think they should be annual superbowl participants so Fox might not even get a couple of seasons.

just a side note on that Kubiak hire by Denver - not content with yawning everyone with the hire, it looks like with him coming in Gase is going. He has interviewed for the Jags OC job and today interviews for Kubiak's old job with the Ravens. If Baltimore can swap Kubiak for Gase they are laughing.
Gase leaving could also have an effect on whether Manning decides to come back. Interesting times in Denver, possibly not good ones.

Fox to the Bears makes a lot of sense. They need someone to steady the ship, make sure they don't under-perform, and Fox has never had a team that's done that. They need to get back on an even keel and am pretty sure they'll do so.

Yeah I could see the Broncos choosing to change it up, in what is surely one of Manning's last seasons, to be a risky situation. They're still in 'win now mode' but have changed HC, DC and OC. Could be a masterstroke but I think with Manning's age they'd have had a better chance lying in the bed made with Fox.

----

Gutted for last night. Felt physically sick and it'll hang over for a long time. I was so high on this season's team, they were peaking at the right time, strong personnel throughout all areas of the team. I really do think this is the best group of players overall since I've been watching, possibly better than the 2010 SB-winning team, and we've been really lucky with injuries too. Weaknesses from last year were fixed or schemed around as best possible.

As for the blame game, there were a vast # of opportunities - one play - to stall the Seahawks. The missed 3rd and 4 drop by Quarless, the 2pt conversion, suckered by the fake punt, no help for an ageing corner in Tramon on the TD, the onside kick... Lots of criticism on MM for the 4th down FGs, but we've been terrible at doing that this season and so to give up the chance of scoring points early in Seattle on plays we've shown we can't convert into TDs wouldn't have been sensible. We had a 16-0 lead at h/t, going for it and failing twice - very possible - would have meant it 10-0 and MM would have been bollocked if it had gone wrong - at that time, it was the right decision, no complaints on that front.

We a great, great game for 55mins, but just fell apart in every way possible for the final five. Aaron was right, this is going to take a long, long time to move on from.

Nice, another over-blown controversy to go with Spygate. If nothing else it should be a good motivational tool for the Pats to go in to full "fuck you" mode.

Doesn't really explain why they let their run defense give up 150 yards and 3 TD's to Blount.

I watch it from the side, but don't fully concentrate on it. I like the St. Louis Rams because of their name :D Although they aren't as successful...

I've lived in St. Louis for nearly seven years now, and am a Rams fan myself. Kroenke is about to fuck off to LA in search of a big payout. Hate having to deal with that wig-wearing, Walmart-heiress-bonking crustacean as the owner of two of my favourite sport teams. The team itself isn't very far away from being competitive. An upgrade on Janoris Jenkins at CB at they have as miserly of a defense as anyone in the league. Tre Mason looks the part for a strong running game. If they can get Bradford to stay healthy and develop into a game manager ala Alex Smith, it's a playoff team. Main issue is playing in the NFC West with Seattle, Arizona, and San Fransisco.

Some NFC Championship that was—I think the Patriots will be winning the Super Bowl, though. The Legion of Boom secondary can't stop Rob Gronkowski and their best LB, Bobby Wagner, is much better suited to stopping the run. 24-13 Patriots win.

I heard about how they may move over to Los Angeles too, wonder if he'll go through with that or not.

Kroenke has been remaining silent on the issue—refusing to speak with St. Louis city officials and property developers. He's either playing the strong arm negotiation to use as much public money as possible for a new stadium, or he's hell bent and there is no changing his mind.

Propsed new stadium would attract an MLS team, and possibly a different NFL franchise were the Rams to leave. STL attendances are relatively good despite their utter shitness for a decade. Pics:

I'm all for the Rams moving to LA if it means the Chargers stay in San Diego.

Rams in box seat to move to LA - the only team really making any noises (as in not saying no when asked) about LA. Chargers and Raiders seem the only other possibles.

Riola is done in Detroit, no great loss, he has been a problem child discipline wise and has been up and down play wise, one season great the next season awful. They drafted Swanson last season as his replacement and he has played well as guard when called upon and did ok in his one start at centre.
Don't know if anyone else will take a punt on Riola, many expected him to retire if the Lions didn't want him back, but it seems he reckons he can keep going. The discipline issues will put most teams off, if Caldwell couldn't tame him I doubt another coach can.

Kim Mitten your Twitter is immense

thanks.
Check out my youtube channel, think the link is on my profile bit - utterly unique and if anyone knows of any automated sinks out there let me know, I travel world wide for them, I've even had a amalgamated video of all the sinks played in art exhibitions.

In actual NFL news Trestman to Ravens as OC - I like that hire a lot, like him as a coach and I think Bears were a bit to quick to dump him. Depends on their draft and FA of course but nice move from the Ravens, expect them to be a good O next season.

Blimey. I'm not sure if that's amazing, crazy dedicated or plain weird... but all good nonetheless!

Anyone get tickets for the 2015 NFL London games? Just the one for me this year, no games massively appealed, so Lions Chiefs it was. Lower end zone has been our choice for the last few years now too.

So the Patriots are favourites on the exchanges. But I really favour Seattle. What am I missing?

What's the consensus here?

I'm going to the Lions game too, hopefully Megatron isn't injured this time around. I think it could be a fantastic game - the Lions are a strong team and I expect the Chiefs to be playoff contenders next season. They should draft a receiver in the first round this year, so hopefully they'll be a more interesting offence to watch. Also, I enjoy watching Jamaal Charles as much as Megatron, so this game was the clear stand-out for me.

Upper end zone, just like last year, I thought the view was great last year and I'm a cheapskate.

It's a coin flip game for me, really hard to know what to expect. The Broncos were favourites last year and they were blown out by an all-time great performance by the Seahawks. I think these Patriots are a better balanced, better coached team than last year's Broncos, but I have a hard time looking past the Seahawks' defence. The sound the 12s created at last year's Superbowl was pretty amazing too, the Seahawks should have an advantage from that perspective too. If I was betting, I'd probably just go for the team with the longest odds.

Pro Bowl draft on right now, god damn I hate Pro Bowl week. I miss real football.

Excluding the last five minutes, Packers gave the Patriots the blueprint on stalling Wilson. I'm plumping for a Pats win.

Not just because of last weekend, but I don't even watch it - the draft, the buildup or the game. I remember when first getting into NFL the idea of a season-ending star-studded game with all the recent best players was amazing, but quickly realised how bloody pointless it all is, and that starts with the voting to even be a Pro Bowler...

Going to see Bills vs Jags. Not the most appealing game for most but as a Texan fan I wanted to see a game that interests AFC South. I'm in upper sideline, the view from anywhere at Wembley is decent.

Could the NFL-media-industrial-complex be any more detestable? Any more puffed up? Possessed of any more misplaced morality? Or be any more self-serious about it?

Mark Brunell was on the verge of fucking TEARS on ESPN yesterday discussing these twatting balls. It's the lead story on national network news. HOW DARE TOM BRADY MENTION ISIS. What about the Patriots' #LEGACY? The NFL simply MUST introduce a ball management oversight protocol! NOW! Yes ANOTHER example of Goodell's toxic legacy! And on and on and on and on.

FUCKING HELL

This 2 week vacuum before the Superbowl is 10th circle of hell.

If the team who has possession first scores a TD then the game is over. If they kick a Field Goal/fail to pick up a first down then the opponents get a possession of the ball.

Bill Belichick's press conferences are usually tedious. Yesterday he spent eight minutes talking about the air pressure of a football.

They won by 38 points.

On top of this, we get to listen to Richard Sherman question Tom Brady's character.

Jesus.
