The Barbican is nice but the town needs to be bulldozed.

To be fair, since the 80's the council have at least been trying to improve things. They are hampered by some problematic areas which cant easily by fixed like the industrial estates and navy base. The grim 70's buildings will all eventually get replaced with time which will help a bit.

Potentially exciting times, as mentioned before - looking at the list of people/investment companies who make up the group that have purchased the 20%, £4million is a relative drop in the ocean to their billions. Shant get carried away for now but praise must go once again to the Chairman for the way he is running this football club. First priorities are surely the training facilities and the finishing of the stadium.

Slightly off topic I know but Plymouth city centre now is an absolute hole unfortunately. The barbican and hoe/seafront are still nice. The issue is the city centre is far too big for the size of the city. Must be more than 50% of the shops are now boarded up - needs knocking down and redesigning with metropolitan lifestlye redesign ie city living apartments and restaurants, bars etc to bring people back into the city centre. I think that's the way they're going but it will take decades. Keep it quiet but when I 'treat' the wife to a days shopping...we go to Exeter .

Sadly you are describing many a UK city/town centre these days. And I agree with you about the best way to resolve the issue.

To be honest, when you're based in Plymouth, what options do you have to go shopping except Exeter? All other options must be a fair trek!

Whenever Chester played Torquay I would go down on the Thursday and return on the Sunday. Barclay Court £30 a night ~~ mint. Always took a trip to Plymouth, usually on the Friday. P & R near the Sainsbury roundabout and a day wandering around. Lunch in Debenhams (with a great view over the city). Sadly we are not in the same league for 4 seasons and Green has seen off Debs.

Best things the Germans did was abolish them of City status. Where's their cathedral?
Seen as you asked, it’s on Wyndham Street West. Postcode is PL1 5ER. Germans didn’t do that good of a job.

Yeah it may not be as grand as yours, but your cesspit needs something to make it worthwhile visiting I suppose.

New PAFC training facilities

Land purchase agreed for new training facilities, assuming this will use up the majority of the cash boost discussed from the US investors.

Hardly. World would be a much better place if Plymouth was wiped off the map. Benefit taking, NHS sapping, scruffy criminals.
Did your fat dopey c*** of a mum run away with a sailor or something you tit? You’re hatred of our fair City is admirable! Keep kicking your dog in your bedsit in Burnthouse Lane and leave this social media lark to the adults. Theres a good boy
