Mmm now who could it be?

Maybe Leeds with a small minority of their huge travelling support causing a bit of bother?

Maybe Stoke City, their fans are usually up for a good rumble in the right football environment.

Maybe it’s Millwall with their ongoing reputation for loving a good fight?

Well no, according to our own Stadium Manager Nick Dale it’s the scary fans of Grimsby Town who are the worst in the Football League:
435917B5-4599-4C7E-94AC-B0D23C638C53.jpeg

Now I know we have a few idiots going about but to say this shows what an absolute certain we have in charge of our stadium.
I’ve never liked the guy anyway as my wife served him once buying a ring and she said he was an obnoxious arrogant twat but now he seriously thinks other clubs supporters are more scared when playing Grimsby than when playing the likes of Leeds, Stoke, Millwall etc.
What a complete and utter prick.

Always love playing Grimsby away.
Their fans are so noisily passionate - team's 12th man.
Usually beat us although not last season.

You beat us home and away but at least both games were close. :bg:

If you are travelling this far, why would you want a scrap? In the words of the sage Obelix “these Grimsbyonians are crazy!”

I heard it's the Grimsby women that are the problem, what with constantly trying to smuggle weapons and shit into stadiums stashed in their bras. That's what a Stevenage steward told me anyway. Bunch of animals.

Nearly every time I’ve been to watch footie in Cleethorpes I’ve seen some sort of trouble, but I’m sure you can chuck half the blame towards the visiting fans.

The last time I visited Hull - and that’s back in their old ground days - they were a bunch of fuckwits.

Must be something in the water in them thar parts!

Worksop and Fisher are the only teams that have been proper trouble at Rovers games.

Tbf Fisher only started cos one of our fans twatted their keeper. Worksop are a proper bunch of c*** though.

Worksop as in Nottinghamshire? How did you play them?

Drew them in cups a few times. Bit of aggro first time when they coined our keeper meant they turned up in greater 'force' the next times, desperate for a tear up. Bunch of inbred twats.

Got to say most times I've been to Grimsby there's been trouble.
Me and the future Mrs were sat on one of those benches near the pier eating fish and chips years ago.
Four Grimsby youths started taunting us trying to provoke a response from me I assume.
Lucky for us my 6' 4" cousin and 3 of his mates turned up, let's just say they left.

I've also witnessed a few spats over the years with probably faults on both sides.

We haven't played each other recently but if we did I would definitely be wary of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

This animosity between us is strange really.
I can only think it might be the George Kerr effect, when he came to manage us and nicked half of his old players.
I always thought we did you a favour cos most of them were crap. I still have nightmares about Andy O'Dell.

Based on my last visit I'd say it's true !!
But thanks to Fish he'd put me right where to park so we managed to avoid the shenanigans.

There are always that group of those tubby, bald, 45-60 types who stand under the Exec boxes nearest the away end.

Repeat offenders of 40% is very high, so whatever the police are doing round those parts obviously isn't doing the trick.

Another Grimsby Town PR masterclass, mind. Always seem to alienate fans or get their backs up by silly little things that can be avoided.

The article has been retracted by Nick Dale (our Stadium Manager) and he has apologized to the 99% of Town fans he has offended, who do not cause any trouble at home or away.

We do have a some knuckle draggers but who doesn't?

Boring wood are the worst visitors I've seen, and that was just the players; trashed the dressing room. Grimsby fans, if I remember correctly, are allowed in the Beehive which is usually an indication the police expect no trouble from them. The last away fans I saw properly kick off (like not just a bit of trouble in town later because some idiots got smashed but who came up looking for trouble from the off) were Bournemouth of all people.

Didn't Boreham Wood players piss up the walls and shit in a kettle or something?

something like that. There was piss everywhere according to our club's people also the toilet cubicle doors were knocked off their hinges. Don't think the kettle got shit in, just got bunged in one of the urinals. Borehamwood described it all as an 'accident waiting to happen'.

Your former player Liam Noble was heavily involved (to the point that Graham Kavanagh had to drag him off the pitch at full time before he got himself sent-off)

Tbh the way that kettle is balanced just above the urinals is an accident waiting to happen. Imagine that toppling just as you were having a slash, could get very messy and painful.

The Ministry of Defence has a ZERO tolerance for anyone 'self harming', I hope Grimsby Town FC have a similar policy.

Can't imagine Nobes getting involved in anything like that.....

Only been once, in 2003 on our first away game, we won 2-1 and they had a player sent off for elbowing Michael Walsh and an older Grimsby fan gave me a bollocking at the station for the referee sending their player off...

Dont know quite what I had to do with it but have lived in fear ever since.

I've not seen any trouble at Crawley since we were promoted to the Football league.

To be fair, although there are a lot of very sinister people around these parts very few come to the football. So coming to Crawley to cause trouble means you stand out like a sore thumb and plod can pick you off easily.

You are known to have a fair few nut jobs. I suppose you go by the ratio of your crowds and fanbase size. I’ve known a few clubs say Grimsby away is a place you’ll get it.

Yeah I don’t dispute any of that but it was him saying we are the only club in the Football League like it that was the bit that pissed me off.
