As has been well publicised, due to a very upsetting incident the nature of which you are all by now no doubt very familiar with, last Friday I was left with no alternative but to leave 1FF forever.

Or so I thought.

I was not unaware of the effect this course of action might have on others, and it was a decision I made with a heart so heavy it was truly leaden.

However, it would be no exaggeration to say that I have been utterly inundated with messages since that fateful day. I have received missives by the bushel load, via email, va Facebook, and via Twitter (@ledeastray).

Too many of you have contacted me for me to thank you all individually, and nor would I break that covenant of anonymity regardless.

However this message was typical:

“Dearest Matthew,

I beg, nay, beseech, you to reconsider your decision to leave 1FF forever. Without you the forum very likely has no future whatsoever. I speak not only in my official capacity as Admin, but for all the 1FF staff, and for all of our membership. Incidentally, would you like to send me some money? I’ve got some pressing gambling debts I need to attend to.

Suffice to say I have been very touched indeed. So much so that I am pleased to announce I am now officially returning to 1FF, effective immediately.
