I've heard it from Leeds, Bradford, Sheff Utd and many others, not all on here or TFF like, but i've heard plenty. Back when Leeds were in L1 for a few years, they'd throw that gem out every season on more than one occasion.

And then of course you have the Twitter loons, but tbf most of them need supervision whilst trawling the web so tend to laugh those off.
well, both sheff united and leeds are bigger than this league and should be playing in the championship.

bradford fans on here are an odd bunch and should not be taken seriously.

Sheff United are in this league because, as it stands, this is their level, and has been for a couple of seasons. No high attendances or previous appearances in the PL or Championship will change that.

If they get promoted, I'll congratulate them, but until then I wont agree with any of them who say they should be higher up.

All our teams are shit

This is very true.

Irritates the fuck out of me when we get very particular in our levels of shit - 'that player can do a job' 'but he's wank'...they're in League 2, unless they're under the age of about 22/23 then we can safely assume they're shite with a 99% success rate. Don't laughing emoji me to death when we've signed a player let go by Plymouth when you've tugged yourself off all over the internet because you've signed someone on a free from Accrington.

Equally, clubs giving it the big one on signing an 'International' when in reality it's someone who played twice for Barbados or Cape Verde. Also applies to players who've played for some random team in the Europa League. We signed Josh Pritchard last summer, and one of the first things written on his 'factfile' on the club website was 'played AGAINST Tottenham in the Europe League last season'. Woop de doo.

Most clubs at this level rely on loyalty and don't do anything to get extra fans in. if someone suggests doing cheaper season tickets someone will come back with "well that means we'll have a smaller playing budget". no it doesn't, more season tickets sold, more matchday revenue. and most of the fans go along with it.

A couple of our supporters clubs are like that, they want to see SUFC as a private members club and Swanny to his credit has clipped their wings.

We were getting bigger crowds at Northampton than Wigan were in the 90s. I think even their own fans would admit they massively punched above their weight. In my opinion they wouldn't even be the biggest club in the conference.

Only based on their recent history as its better than any one else's in this division. I have only seen Wigan twice in my entire history of watching the Albion, once in the 70's when we lost 5-0 at Springfield Park in the FA Trophy, when we were lucky to get nowt and last season when we beat them at the Pirelli when we beat them 2-1 last season.

Having to stand for ninety minutes because some clubs cannot afford seating. Barbaric.

Having to sit down in a soulless modern stadium 5 miles out of town

1, 000+ fans to Millwall?

I reckon somewhere between 5 and 8 teams will take that amount next season.

You've got the locals - Gills, Sarfend, Col Ewe. Then you've got the "big" clubs - Blades, Bantams, Cov. Then you've got fifteen other clubs who are capable of such a following, depending on how well they're doing and the timing of the fixture.

Finally, you've got the irredeemably tinpot (Wigan) and the non-travelling Fleetwood - who won't!

But there's still a bit of 'fear' going to Milwall however it's a bit of a stereotype now. I don't think any club travels that well to Milwall. It isn't a trip that would appeal to the casual fans and the fans with young kids.

I'm willing to bet a small amount of money that only Gillingham, and maybe one other depending on occasion, will bring 1000 or more to the Den next season.

Southend *might* if its a Saturday 3pm and the match looks like a decent prospect (both vying for top 6, opening day, Boxing day etc).
Blades could. Nobody else will even get close IMO.

Gills yes, Southend possibly but probably not, Sheffield United maybe, and then perhaps a promotion pushing team late on in the season. That's it.

I'll start.

Person at work: Who do you support?

Me: Coventry City

Person at work: Oh. Who's your Premiership team then?

Absolutely hate this. Most of the time it's a Man United fan who's never been to a game before who thinks football below the Premier League doesn't exist.

It's even worse when you support a non-league team. Most people won't have heard of the team you support. And the question isn't 'Who's your Premiership team?', but rather 'Who's your real team?'

Us and Vale getting absolutely no coverage on radio stoke on praise and grumble because it's full of stoke fans moaning who never actually attended and seem to think their club was born in 2008.

The Stoke City car park gets more coverage than Vale and Crewe combined.

I personally don't begrudge Stoke getting more coverage, they've earned their position and status and credit where it's due. I still hope someone poisons the pies though

What does get my goat:

The fat bald bloke with a 'tache on the Football League show who has a roughing up of a little kids hair approach of reporting on the lower leagues. The patronising twat. I'm not sad that shit-tip of a show is finished, although I am slightly worried who Claridge and Rosenior are going to bore to death now.

When armchair PL supporters presume you know nothing about the top flight

Teams who think they're big because they were ages ago. Sorry lads, it's over, deal with it.

Having to play teams managed by Graham Westley

Graham Westley

And Martin Allen- mad dog? Bellend

And Joe Garner one word, disgrace

The football League pretending a coin has been flipped when Vale and Stoke's fixtures clash, which we are yet to win. I get it, the Police would rather Stoke's 20k+ played on Saturday afternoons, I am fully accepting but let's drop the pretence eh? The only way it could be more pathetic is if the tit form the FL show broke the news

Good shout by the Crewe fans.

We get absolutely no coverage on Radio Humberside either, it's always about Hull rather than us and Grimsby.

It is probably down the the fact the number of listeners who support Stoke are more than Vale and Crewe combined?
