Hull could be promoted tomorrow and Bristol Rovers and Swindon could be relegated. An outside chance of Sunderland and Lincoln to confirm PO spots.

Home to Hull for us. Walsh and Jackson are still struggling but Grant returned for a short while on Tuesday night and I suspect he'll start. Bridcutt and Hopper are back in training, albeit very limited training time, so will probably make the squad just to fill the bench.

We need one win from 4 games to be mathematically safe although 1 will probably be enough or perhaps none.
Wigan away tomorrow, which will see us return pointless as they are bang in form and have more to play for.

After putting a few more nails in the gas coffin on tuesdsay we could do the same to Swindon although they had a good win themselves. We have nothing much to play for whereas Swindon do so who knows what the result will be. We should win but......

I would'nt be too sure about this. Certainly your form has been bad but we are stuttering towards season end, we really are just going through the motions ( but hopefully not the players ). An high drama match, end to end finishing 0-0
I form hasn’t been bad it’s been shameful, when you have players who don’t want to play for you and others not putting a tackle in, in case they get injured as they are out of contract, you have zero chance of winning

On the face of it, we're only one point outside the play-offs. In reality though, Tuesday's crushing 3-1 defeat to at-the-time bottom club Swindon shows that we are a million miles away. Today we face Bristol Rovers who replaced them at the bottom, and we could well give them the three points to keep their desperate survival hopes alive.

In hindsight, after hitting top spot at Christmas our January transfer/loan dealings were an unmitigated disaster. None of the four incoming players have contributed much. We exchanged the excellent Cameron Pring for a past-it Charlie Daniels at left back. We brought in Jordy Hiwula up front, ignored him until our striker crisis, realised he couldn't shoot for toffee and is always offside anyway, then lost him to injury at a crucial time. Neither George Byers or Harvey White have done much in midfield and can't displace the knackered players we already have there.

We would have been much better off getting two higher quality loanees for the same amount.

At least the club haven't blamed the Cowleys for this, and it looks like they will be getting a permanent contract to sort things out. Time to look towards building for next season.

Congrats Hull who are up following the 3 points.

Frustrating game, we had the majority of the play and the ball but just didn't have that little bit against an experienced, expensive and physical side.

Nice to get mins into Grant, Bridcutt and Hopper.

Relegated in style. 5-0.

It was like a pretty-season friendly against a Premier league side today, we were beyond awful. 84 goals concedes says it all.

An interesting topsy turvy game for us. Edged it in the 1st half but had the chances to be better than 1-0. 2nd half Plymouth were all over us and deserved their equaliser. Soon as they scored, we woke up and took control with 2 goals from Matty Taylor. We were good on set pieces today. We continue to flatter to deceive that we are in the play off race even if we are 5th.

Plymouth keeper is an excellent shot stopper based on that but not so sure about his unwillingness to come off the line for crosses.

Edit: Congratulations Hull.

Well. Phew. Game of 2 halves, we comprehensively outplayed them 1st half, they could barely string two passes together, we missed good chances and had a stonewall penalty turned down. Had to take Honeyman off at half time before the ref sent him off, and made wrong tactical decision with replacement which meant we dropped deeper and Lincoln came back into it. We burgled the points with a late penalty, but can't really claim we deserved all three. However, we're not giving them back. It's been a nervy last three games, now we can relax, sit back, and enjoy Sunderland's comedy end to the season.

Pretty accurate account. 100 per cent right about Cooper, he is a great stop stopper, but he does not yet command his box. He needs to. In his defence he is only just 21, and this is his first season starting (he was on the bench to Alex Palmer now at Lincoln last year).

Firstly well done Hull on bouncing straight back to the championship.

As for our game it was awful to watch. Both teams looked equally poor. Somehow the ref gave us a 90th minute penalty that never should have been and Kirk scored at the 2nd attempt. Annoying but yet predictably we conceded a soft goal in the 98th minute. Rochdale deserved the point. But in truth neither team deserved anything out of it, very low quality game.

Yes, well done to Hull.

As for us, easy win but I presume we will lose Will Grigg back to Sunderland at the end of the season as I doubt we have any spare cash to pay a fee for him. That will be a hell of a loss for us.

Frustrating yesterday.

Were the better team after the first 15 mins but end product let us down and ultimately you can’t miss penalties against teams like Peterborough. Saw enough in the overall performance to still be confident of making the play-offs.

They might let you have him for nothing to get him out of the club.

That would depend on whether Grigg would take a pay cut as I reckon Sunderland will be paying a good chunk of his wages when he has been at MK Dons. And I doubt Grigg would walk away from that difference but of course could be wrong.

Well you were right about the result mate, always pleasing to get an away win though. For Donny fans shameful the way the club/team has imploded and its always the fans who bear the brunt/upset, and lets be honest we've all been there when our team has a bad spell and its lousy. So wish you well for next season and hope 'things' can be resolved. Nil Desperandum mate

Yes and he's getting to the stage in his career where he's is going to be looking for that last really good deal and I doubt we are the ones to supply it.

Terrible dive by the Crewe player for their penalty.

As for us, the most pleasing aspect yesterday was the squad looking fairly strong again. They'll not be fully up to speed but Grant got 60 minutes in the tank, Bridcutt and Hopper back on the bench and Jackson and Walsh hopefully only 7-10 days away from being back.

I'm assuming four points *might* be enough for us to be in the PO's, six to be on the safe side. Bit confusing when teams have played 42, 43 or 44 games.

Well done to Hull as well.
