Gutted I can't watch this. I'm going to see Adam Hess, Lolly Adefope, Sara Pascoe, Rhys James and Lloyd Griffith perform in Angel. A night of clowning and belly-laughs... missed because I have to go to a bloody stand-up comedy night!!

Bit disappointing really. Mostly new material, and judging by the quality, VERY early stages. Hess did some really good stuff, and Adefope had one really funny character, but I can honestly say that I hate Rhys James. The less said about Grimsby-supporting compere Lloyd Griffith the better. Jokeless tedium.

Just realised that Robbie of Arsenal Fan TV is the brother of my old GCSE History teacher Mr (Garry) Lyle.

This helps to explain why I am so bitter about Arsenal, I suppose. You can't really understand it unless you grew up in an N or E postcode.

We showed we can play against the best in the world. We had 20 chances last night, and I suppose if we had €150,000,000 worth of attacking players next to Messi we might have converted a fee more and won.

Barca also have the advantage of playing in an inferior league where they turn up to 80% of the games knowing they can just practise their skills and prepare for the champions league.

Stick your Barcas and Bayerns into a competitive league like the the Premier League and they too would rely on an easy draw against teams like Prague or Kiev to progress.

Nothing's going to change any time soon though. Except that because the PL has been so poor this season, we're sending worse teams to play in Europe which will only damage our reputation even more.

Your last paragraph severely contradicts the previous two which read as sour grapes.

A couple of years back, I would have agreed but the Premiership has been such a joke that you can't play the "other leagues are shit" card in Europe no more. The Bundesliga is not a poor league (never has been actually) it's just that Bayern are the best side. I shan't vouch for La Liga (like, ever) but I think you'll find the Bilbaos and the Valencias (probably not this season) harder to beat than meets the eye.
