Don't remember that, though I don't remember a lot these days.Lets name names in the form of nominations for the "Worse Ref of the Season "Award
And my nomination goes to John Busby
Fortunately we have only encountered this inapt official once but his performance in our home game against Forest Green Rovers will live in my memory for the whole of the off season. In all the years of watching football I have never seen a referee who bottled decisions as much as this guy. Had this man had the slightest idea FGR could have been down to 7 men after 70 minutes. Some of the decisions he did make, such as giving Tranmere a free kick for an obvious elbow to the face on Jake Kirkby by a player who had already been booked and failing to give him a red card, were laughable quite frankly.
Special mention also goes to Ryan Johnson for his MOTM performance for Eastleigh at Prenton Park and his inability to see one of the greatest one handed saves of the season by a Chester defender in the Derby at the Deva and Adrian Holmes for being the most consistently awful referee I have seen in his various Tranmere games
Over to you guys.......
Brett Huxtable ...... for failing to award the most nailed on penalty ever just before half time at Rec at 0-0 this season. The players were in so much shock they failed to come out for 2nd half. We got our revenge in the reverse fixture however. We've scored around 15% of our total league goals against Aldershot this season.
