Schweinsteiger isn't fully fit yet and looks like he may as well get a deck chair out when he comes on. Classy player who'll be great for United this season. He completely ran the game when Villa started the 2nd half brightly, Schweinteiger came on around 60mins and it was comfortable for United from then on.

Rooney is horrendous and has been for a good while now. The body of a 35 year old, just like when we was 16 he was more like 21. Biology fellas.

He's finished. His touch has always been shit but now he has to think about his play too much and his physicality is waning, it looks 10 times worse. Ferguson had it set up for him to leave 2 years ago. He knew.

I don't know if you saw the game today or not but Rooney would have benefited the team more by kipping in a sleeping bag somewhere around the halfway line. It was a truly awful performance.

lmao. Surely Hernandez deserves his chance. Captain playing every game even if plays poorly is ridiculous. It might seem ok as long as the team is winning but there might be trouble when things don't start to go the right way on the pitch.

Worst i've ever seen Rooney play,by far. He's out of my fantasy team next weekend. I would agree with putting Hernandez in the line-up (he hasn't been sold yet, right?) just to see how he does, because Rooney was crap. I guess it is early season, so he might just be a bit unfit, but i'll sell him now and get him back in again when he starts to get back on form.

But it's good work from United, they have a really solid defense now, and some nice protection in front of them (Schnderlin and Schweinstiger). If United can start scoring goals, they might have a chance this season. Might.
