We've got a good bunch of players in reality, it's just that they've been that badly used and managed that most of them have looked shite. I honestly didn't think Sherwood was the man to turn it around, but I'm also left with egg on my face!

We were absolutely atrocious yesterday and deserved nothing out of the game. Our mentality is ridiculously weak under Rodgers and this isn't the first time that we completely fail to show up in a do-or-die game under him.

Agreed we were useless, but that was down to Villa's football being better than ours and pressurising us. Something should've changed though to counter against that as we've got the players to do so, but there was clearly no plan B.

I can't think of a single player who deserves any credit. I think it says a lot when our best player was probably Moreno. Gerrard is just a passenger now, Coutinho wasn't allowed to get into the game enough and plenty of players just went missing. I remember Given making 1 save from a Gerrard free kick, and thats not good enough.

If Villa stayed up and won the FA Cup then it'll go down as one of their best seasons in recent times. Who'd of thought that a week before Lambert was sacked?

We were absolute tripe. Villa well deserved winners. Delph was excellent, ran it.

This is why we need some proven quality & experience in the summer. So many just froze, Balotelli was the only one who seemed like he didn't let the occasion get to him. Need some winning experience & experience of pressure games in the squad, we seem to do better in the big games when we're not really expected to win, and freeze when the pressure's on us.

Villa went in with nothing to lose and played like it, we played like we were shit scared of losing and ended up doing so. Did nothing that we do so well, player's went into their shells.

Hard to call. Everyone but Balotelli stopped playing. Could have gone either way, however if it had gone in, as I'm sure you and other Liverpool fans would agree based on this thread, it would have been incredibly harsh on us.
