If you are planning on coming to the hive for your games against us then be aware that the club have a habit of removing terrace tickets from sale a few weeks before the game and forcing away fans to buy seats until the club decides more than 890 away fans are likely to come.

I don't like this practise as it basically forces those who bring less than 890 to pay £23 and those who bring 900-1400 will find at least 400+ will have to buy seats before the terrace becomes available ( As happened to Bristol Rovers fans for this weekend). If you want to be certain of getting a ticket for £17 instead of £23 then it's best to buy them now rather than wait.

Sadly for Carlisle and Hartlepool supporters this warning is too late and the terrace is already unavailable. I cant say for certain whether the terrace will be withdrawn for Wombles\ Plymouth game in the next few weeks or the club have decided to leave them available. our other games against Oxford, Portsmouth and Luton are already all ticket so I don't think they are affected.

Cheers for the information BeesKnees, duly posted on our forums. A little bit naughty from Barnet but I imagine that we'll take our full terrace and seating allocation for our game. What with it being a new ground for us, and resurrection of the (not) 'Northern Line' derby.

Cheers for the warning BK. Chances of us bringing less than 890 is zero. Imagine we'll push capacity.

If you bring 1760 I will be very impressed. We are still Northern line our end(Just), although it's 15-20min walk from Edgware.

Thanks for that. I've booked although I'm not sure if I can go - first grandchild due about then.

I guess I can pass the ticket on at face value.

Business is business.

Atleast oppo fans won't have to worry about their hard earned cash contributing positively to our club... Itll all just go into paying the wages of Batt and Lisbie :animatedf:

Cheers for this.

Crawley did a similar thing to us last year - All advance ticket sales were for there rubbish seating section. They decided to sell all terrace tickets on the day for £4 less I think it was, which stitched me up - I was told when I went to the terrace turnstyle that I had a seating ticket, to which I had to say "But I want to stand not sit!"

We shall see, for this game we will 100% sell out, they'll be a few hundred in the home ends as well probably as its a new ground and we haven't played you in the league for ten years.

I will not have sir Kev's name used in such a manor. He's a hero here. A shame his legs aren't up to it anymore. He was immense in his 4 seasons with us.

I actually think he's great, just never actually get to see him play! Which is a shame, considering he's one of our top earners (along with Batt...)

They do Seem to have Very odd handling of tickets, we've had ours for months for our visit at the end of the month. Upset a few people that didn't know you could buy direct from your end 3/4 months in advance.

In theory it's good, in practise it's not been so clever.
By buying etickets direct it means no booking\handling charges or postage costs, plus no printing costs. the biggest issues seems to have been the reasonable assumption from away fans that they are only available a few weeks before and that it bypasses other clubs priority booking systems.
I'd like to see it evolve rather than be forced out. Contacting the away club before putting the tickets on sale would be a start, next would be allowing the away club an interface to control sale of their tickets.
I think in Portsmouths case 1200 had bought tickets before Pompey even knew the tickets were available and they wanted Barnet to void the tickets and refund the money. In the end Pompey were sent the remaining 500 tickets to sell and as far as I know those who had already bought tickets got to keep them.
the taking terrace off sale is still naughty and actually against the rules in the conference where if you only offer terrace to home support then the away supporters must be allowed to buy seats at the same price as the home terrace.
I guess our monthly membership instead of a season ticket is probably a bit odd as well.

It's an odd one. We have some fans that have away season tickets from years ago that you can no longer buy but can still renew. I believe around 450 tickets are presold for each game. With no loyalty system in place it's very frustrating now we are looking half decent and everybody wants to come along again. The remaining Barnet tickets were sold on a ballot basis but probably would have only been around 50 anyway.

Me and my mates decided to buy ours today, which we did. Stupid E-Ticket rubbish.

So poorly organised, it doesn't take an idiot to work out that for these three games and a fair few others there will be 1k+ away fans at the Hive..................

Am I missing something here,
You got a ticket online without any problems by the sounds of it. I'd far rather have a barcode to flash on a phone than add postage to the cost .
I think the club are organised and know exactly what they are doing.

My bad! Apparently now you've taken them offline for our game! I looked just now and saw it was still there and thought I had been given the wrong information, but then I clicked on the link to our game and the away end is now unavaliable for our game! :animatedf:

Wonder how many we sold? Word did spread and a fair few people booked up!

Looks like they are reviewing it. I saw a few tweets from Orient fans telling their club they are on sale so I suspect there has been a chat between the club's.
If it follows normal pattern then seats will go on sale either from Orient or back on the website. I was kind of hoping this thread would make them just sell the tickets after talking to the away club rather than deliberately messing people around

I know it might seem sad but I quite like to keep ticket stubs from games I go to, e-tickets just aren't the same.

Be intriguing to know how many we sold today.

Presuming tickets stay off sale, the club can now do one of two things.

Refund those alert enough to already book
This will annoy those who did so.

Tickets purchased valid, remaining go to ST Holders
Those who didn't get a ticket will moan. People will start panicking they'll miss out because non season ticket holders might have got tickets.

This will be fun.

If I had known I would've told you to ring up and buy them. They will post out a genuine ticket if you ask.

There will be no refund. Do Orient normally offer away tickets to season ticket holders first?

We do for the local and big games as well as games where the away allocation is very limited.

Interesting to see that no refund will happen!

I suspect Orient will be sent the remaining tickets which will be well in excess of 1000 and probably nearer 1500

Cheers for the advice regarding stubs, much appreciated.

I'd be very surprised if we didn't sell 1,760, took that many to Cambridge and also had 1200 at Stevenage despite being utter crap. Add in the new ground factor and the potential to maybe be in the play-off mix and it should be a sell out our end.

Weve just had a statement released for our game stating that any one requiring concession tickets that paid for a full one when they went on sale can have the difference refunded. Says something about a terrace being available as well. Not quite sure if that means there are now more tickets available or just the discounted rates can now be adjusted. The club can't be that desperate for interest on their account surely........
