Ollie P v Big D

It's going to be magic. I'm predicting a 3-3 thriller. Both players to get hat tricks and celebrate doing the I can't hear you thing infront of the opposition fans.

Duplicate thread. Aren't these supposed to go in the Matchday section now?

I am looking forward to the glorious reception Big D is going to get from our fans. What a player! What a professional attitude! What value for money! We shall be delighted to welcome him home.

Ps. 0-1

Already achieved more in about 60 minutes than the appalling Palmer did in 2 years. That drip was backed to the hilt by Stags fans, despite being dreadful, and mopes around with a slapped arse face like we ought to be grateful for his efforts.

Effort is all he gave the club. I give effort every Saturday by buying a pint and clapping them out, which achieves more than Oliver Palmer ever did. The fella is a crippled old hookers fanny of a player.

Palmer is shite. Never a League-standard footballer. If he was 5'11 rather than 6'5 he'd be playing Ryman Premier. At best.

Still rather have him than pay Hendercunt 10 grand a week. You'd think his 'Big D' nickname came from being called Darius, but it's actually because he is physically incapable of exiting the 'D' outside of the box in open play.

Looking forward to this one. Coming down on the train from Nottingham to St Pancras. Any suggestions as where to drink before and after the game Orient fans?

Only really coming down to see Big D help him self to a hat trick & then to get sent off.

I've never known a former player be as bitter as he is. We got him into the pro game - which turned out to be too much for him - we endured his laughable attempts to run, shoot and score then we binned him off as he wasn't good enough for Mansfield - even then, we helped him out.

He wasn't good enough for us then, and he isn't now - maybe Orient know something we don't.

Was going to go but can't make it now - gutted as still not been to Orient

This has got 1-1 written all over it.

Hunt to whip in a deflected cross for Ollie to nod home and big D to smash in a 25 yard screamer.

The Technical in Leyton High Road is a decent boozer for away fans, usually see a fair few of them in there each week, Decent food and only 5 minutes from the ground too. It's quite hipster, but feels less so on matchday.

Funny enough I am going to this with a few mates on Saturday.
Any decent Pie and Mash shops near the ground Os fans? I know there is one in Leytonstone High Rd but are there any better or nearer?

Any suggestions as where to drink before and after the game Orient fans?

Coach & Horses near the away end is where we send the Gimpers because they're too classless to know any different. It's a shithole; avoid it like the plague.

Five years ago I'd've said "drink anywhere but Leyton", but the creeping Awesomestow-esque gentrification of the area has brought a plethora of great places to drink, and I doubt that there's a better boozing trip in the division these days.

The Leyton Star (turn left out of tube station, pub is on your left after a three minute walk) is newly-refurbished and by all accounts very decent with prices set at just-below-eye-watering. Worth checking out.

The King William IV (turn right out of tube, pub is on right about 15 minutes past the ground) is probably the best boozer in Leyton if you're a fan of Polish barmaids with big knockers and good priced beer. And who isn't? A bit of a schlep from the station/ground, though. More convenient for anyone arriving at Leyton Midland rather than on the underground.

The Birkbeck Tavern (turn left out of tube, take the stairs just past the station, follow the road round to the left past a graveyard, pub is at the end of the road) is the grand old dame of my recommendations. It is a proper facking London boozer. There is a facking weak lager, a facking strong lager, a facking pigswill of a house ale, a facking decent-ish ale and facking Guinness on tap. There is a facking excellent free juke box and the best facking beer garden in East London. It was the only decent facking place to drink in Leyton for years. Then it went a bit shit and most people stopped going. Now it's good again, but still relatively facking quiet. I will be there pre-match tomorrow if anyone wants to imbibe a pint with me. Just don't tell Eric Read.

The Northcote (turn right out of tube, take second right, pub is on left after around 8 minutes) is like the Birky, but not as good. On the plus side I won't be there. Swings and roundabouts.

The Leyton Technical (turn right out of tube, pub is five minutes walk on the left) is a pub for c***s. It has cunty distressed furnishings, waitress service for its cunty artisan burgers served on mismatched crockery and cunty £5 hipster lagers from Tuvalu. It's been trying to market itself as a 'home' pub since it opened (the 7ft bouncer and single Orient scarf behind the bar are clues, along with its desperate campaign on social media), but it was full of rowdy, drunk Welshmen before the Newport game whilst I was trying to enjoy my cunty artisan lamb shank with a cunty £5 lager from São Tomé and Principe. Like a c***.

Finally, you have the best place to drink ale in London: The Leyton Orient Supporter's Club (housed in the new West Stand/office block opposite the away end). I'm not exaggerating by the way; the LOSC has just won CAMRA's London Club of the Year award. Again. It's won the national award in the past few years as well, but they occasionally have to stop giving it to the LOSC just to make everyone else feel better. There will be a minimum of 14 ales on over the course of the day, so if you can't find one to suit your taste, there is something wrong with you. Just don't drink the lager because no-one else drinks it & it sits in the taps for weeks and the whole place will fall silent if you order a Carling. That's 1,000 squinty Cockney eyes all staring at you with murder in their heart. Ronnie and Reggie would be proud. You don't want that.

£1 to get in but you'll make that back on the first pint. I'll be there after Hendercunt's match winning brace.

If you go to an ale pub/festival and order a Carling you should be publicly hung, there and then

It's my birthday tomorrow so I will allow E10rifle to buy me a drink - post match as I'm working.

I agree about the supporters club, even does Old Rosie on occasion. Glorious.

Apparently that little moaning crybaby called Ollie Palmer was shit, what a shame.

Cracking result, really didn't think we'd get anything from this, so to do so was brilliant. Honestly thought we'd go on to lose after they levelled.

Early days, but we might not be too shit this season

You were absolutely dreadful to be honest. Had a five minute flurry around the missed penalty, but that was about it. No quality whatsoever.

On the other hand, as decent as we are in between both boxes when we get the ball down, it's entirely outweighed by both our defending, which is an absolute disgrace, and Ollie Palmer. Joint worst player on the pitch (along with Darius Henderson, obviously).

We had more shots, more on target and a share of the possession. For an away team we did pretty well, absolutely dreadful? nah don't think so, we created chances and was lucky to get the 3 points.

No one can comment on quality when you have Ollie Palmer in your ranks, how the fuck is he still a professional? Honestly would like to know if he still has moments in games where you genuinely laugh out loud then feel embarrassed he's at your club. Henderson did alright for an old git who's had no pre-season what so ever, made a couple openings for green.

Lads who wants a straight swap with us - Palmer for Batt? Please?

Surprised Green goes to away matches seeing as he loves the area at Mansfield so much.

We play our way and we don't conform to how or what other teams want or expect us to play, we don't compromise.

Lots of sides said that we were shit/dreadful/hopeless when we visited last season, yet we won 10 or 11 games. We've won 2 out of 3 away games this season.

If everyone's going to call us shit and we carry on with that win ratio away, I'll take that.
