Luton are an incredibly dirty side.

That is all.

1-0 down. We haven't come back from behind to win a game since our last home game in the conference, so yeah don't fancy our chances.

Allen is so tactically naive. His biggest flaw. We play great, 1-0 up then suddenly it's defensive. Every single time - it gets lauded when it works as 'great defending' but really it's just luck.

Dont let these teams play football ffs - why sit back?

We go again next year eh Hatters? FFS, I don't know how many times we've played each other these last 7 years.

And hopefully one of us goes up. WE NEED A BREAK!

Best. Day. Ever.

Luton were shite first half and we walked (didn't even need to run) rings around them. Undeservedly 0-0 at HT. Then Gambin scored a beaut on the break and fucktard Allen goes 10-0-1 and let Luton back into it. They played good stuff, but we let them have all the possession. Two saved off the line before they equalised, and then that ending. Brilliant - I think I creamed myself.

Green looked good when he was on, but that's about it. Benson, Cuthbert and Smith are all dirty pricks - Smith, back at the ground where had the horrific leg break 2 seasons ago, within 10 minutes launches himself into Yiadom in an attempt that wasn't too far off the one which nearly ruined his career. Dirty, dirty player and I've lost some of the sympathy I had for him after that.

Sheehan as well - he needs to play football more and moan less, my fucking god he did not shut up once all game. Like an old woman.

My post about Allen above stands true and is not diminished because of a last minute penalty.

Also, I lost count of the amount of fans Luton had arrested today! Ridiculous.

Headed down to this.

Luton were awful in the first half, Barnet had pretty much all the play and I think Luton only ventured into the Barnet penalty area twice.

Brilliant and probably deserved goal after half time but then Barnet played Luton back into it. I haven't got a clue what Allen was trying to do because 9/10 times Luton would have scored 2 or 3 after they equalised. But the penalty was fairly blatant and Barnet got away with it.

Luton conceding a late goal is always enjoyable though. A very good jaunt down the leagues.

Think that's whatever slim play off chances we had pretty much done this season and to be fair Jones did well to keep them going for so long after what has been a fairly abject season.

Felt we really needed to capitalise on the decent set results over this weekend that kept us in contact and had a very winnable looking game to do it in but we haven't. I'm sure there will be those who still think it's possible but in truth we haven't done anything to suggest we'll put together the run required, probably wining 6 or 7 of the remaining games, to justify those thoughts IMO.

Still pretty positive about Jones being able to build a good side for next season.

So many tears on social media - Think that's why the roads are so wet, not this storm.

Have to admit the Luton fans were the loudest we've had at the Hive so far probably - even beating their first trip.

Honestly think I've seen more people talking about supposed social media meltdowns by Luton fans than actual meltdowns!

Even Outlaws isn't that bad, certainly seen way worse.

What a great ending to the match for us!
Nathan Jones has a lot of work to do to make Luton challengers next season and MA needs to let our team continue playing.
Great atmosphere in the second half, I'd love us to have a crowd that size at the Hive every home match.

Maybe we're all just seeing the same three or four, but theyre so poignant and tear-filled we HAVE to report it to the world to see.

I think it's fair to say Urban enjoyed that win about as much as Nathan Jones dislikes Barnet's style. Unusual post match interview!! Glad I forgot the clocks had changed and missed most of it. Sounded an awful game.

He can hardly say anything seeing as Luton were moany, dishonest and dirty.

Atleast we were good at it (and don't handle the ball in the area) :bdick:

In retrospect his comments about Game Management were probably mostly aimed at the match officials rather than Barnet. My mistake.

:2thumb: Well done Urban. Glad you're happy and made your weekend beating your hated Luton. Just another of many losses for us. Seems like we're slowly headed in the right direction overall though.

Seriously though, Sheehan's a liability. His yellow card was for something so stupid - can't believe he tried to have it out with a fan!

Luton can't say anything about style of play. While Barnet certainly managed the game to an extent I don't think I've seen before, Luton were such a dirty, whiny team themselves they don't have any moral high ground to stand on.

It was really the ref's fault though, he had zero control over the game.

Loved watching the post match interview with the Luton manager.

What on earth was that about??!

I was seated right in line with it, albeit quite high up. I think a big fat bloke in the crowd of people near the barriers said something to Sheehan, who in turn done that thing where they 'pretend' to throw the ball at them and then smile and laugh at them. But then the big fat bloke continued to say horrible nasty things , so Sheehan instead turned around and confronted the nasty horrible fat man.

Was all rather stupid and petty. I imagine the club'll put the focus back onto people standing near that barrier near FT, as with that incident and the fans on the pitch at the end it all seemed a bit unsafe. I know the stewards hands were tied dealing with all the idiots in the Luton end though.

Friend of mine has said he got caught up in some trouble at Canons Park station after today's game

Had a group of Luton fans saying stuff to him all the way down the path to the station - he was walking pretty fast to avoid the rainstorm which looked like hitting soon, so he got there ahead of them. Got caught up at the barriers, said they continued saying stuff (he had his Barnet shirt on), threatening behaviour, trying to trip him up etc. So he turned around and said something to them about being inbred (he's a very eloquent young man) and it all kicked off. Big problems apparently, police were there in a flash.

It's a shame that this doesn't surprise me.

I hung back at the ground for a few minutes afterwards so that I wouldn't have to go back up the path with the Luton fans. Usually I'd go the other way (but the Overground was closed) and I wouldn't mind mixing with the opposition fans on exiting the ground but I knew there'd be a bit of needle afterwards.

Sad bast+%**rds they are. No need for any of that. Given how many times we've conceded last minute goals was great to get a win - when did we last do that?

Why was I not surprised at the style, tactics and game management employed by Barnet yesterday?
Answer; Martin Allen.
