Was that fat, shirtless bloke (Tango?) a Sheff Weds fan? is he still there?

Do other clubs have their iconic supporters? We have the Punjabi Wolves who play a range of drums and entertain us inside and outside the ground.

And do QPR still have that bell-end wearing a sombrero? He used to sit in the front row of the upper tier, providing the away support with a logical focus for their love of bell-ends wearing sombreros?

We don't often see sombreros in Wolverhampton, unless you frequent strip clubs. When we first saw the QPR guy, as proof of this we sang "What the f**king hell is that?". Lads...it's a sombrero. Like you see down at the Rhino Club. On Lucy.

Edit: there's a few really nice threads about the sombrero guy in the QPR forums.

We have our very own Stoney Garnett, always wearing a red hat with a red and white feather.

Funny bloke and has been around for years.

West Ham have that James Corden lookalike bloke who sits near the away end and is always the brunt of some humerous chants.

I remember in the early 2000s, there was an odd looking black fella with an afro who kept blowing this annoying airhorn. Havent seen him there in more recent visits though.

We used to have a local homeless man named Paul Murphy or more commonly known as 'Wolfman' or 'Wolfie'. He was an absolute nutter (he had an MK Dons tattoo on his forehead FFS) who used to go regularly when we played at the National Hockey Stadium and occasionally when we moved to Stadium:MK. He was a bit of a controversial character after he started singing during a minute's silence at a game away at Chester City, although he later apologised and said it was a drunken mistake IIRC. Generally though he was well thought of, well enough that a group of fans actually clubbed together to buy him a Season Ticket for the 2007/2008 season when we won the JPT and League Two title. After that, he was seen less frequently due to illness but he used to always be outside Waitrose in central Milton Keynes shouting Dons chants whenever he saw one of our fans.

Unfortunately he passed away a year or so ago but I am sure he was watching from heaven (if you believe in that sort of thing) shouting 'MK Army' at a terrified Jesus when we were promoted the other week.

Still sits up in the corner by the away fans I believe. Adel's number one fan.

I do find it a bit hard to believe that Jesus is an MK Dons fan, for all kinds of reasons.

And to be fair, Jesus was tried and crucified by the Romans among thieves and murderers, so it's unlikely he would be terrified by a homeless man in a leopardskin fleece and a bobble hat from rural Buckinghamshire.

How did a homeless person afford to go to an away game?

He shouldn't have felt too bad about disrupting the minutes silence, it was for a Liverpool gangster who had been shot dead.

Basically a combination of donations, selling the big issue and the club helping him out.

I do remember that coming out a few days afterwards and people feeling a little less annoyed about it - he was pelted with coins at the time IIRC, ironic I know.

You definitely never met the bloke, about as eccentric as they come. You would always be on edge around him even when he was being nice

Some brilliant stories about him here...

Minutes silences seem to be fairly easy to come by in Chester then. :2thumb:

Can't quite remember his name, and some fellow City fans may be able to help, but we have a fan who wears about 5 scarves, and has a top called 'scarfman'

One sellotaped to each leg, one under each arm and one around his neck, and then the top which I previously mentioned to cap it all off.

Absolute nutcase

Absolutely no idea, but I often see him at Temple Meads after games.

I'll ask him next time I see him.

We have fucking loads of weirdos at our games :D a coupl of the more iconic ones, 'Scarf Lady' must wear 30 scarfs/flags etc attached to various parts of her anatomy, every time the ball goes out of play she rings this little bell she carries, part of the furniture down St Andrews I remember her back when I was a small child, and that's a fair while ago now!!! I hope she got to go to Wembley etc...

Birmingham-City-scarf-lady-300x300.jpg

There's also a fella, 'Wolfie' he brings a carrier bag full of disguises and masks, at half time he used to put 'shows' on in the bar of his different characters. Once the bar started to empty he used to pour all the left over dregs into a glass and drink it, every game. I hear he's been spotted down the Villa these days, his marbles must've finally completely gone!!

I remember when Posh played us the season before last, they had an elderly women in the away end who had this 'instrument' where you spin it around and it makes an irritating clicking noise.

Everytime there was an attack or something eventful happening, that bastard thing would be swinging around her head - and God I felt sorry for the bastards who had paid money to be sat next to it.

No, it wasn't an Old style Football rattle.

It had metal balls going all around it, and a fair few rows of them at that.

Was a disgrace
