Our performance against your lot was quality. We quickly realised your players weren't up for a fight as they were going down under any contact so we decided to bully you all game and then let our talented wingers do the damage. It obviously worked a treat.Best team played - Colchester were pretty good, play in a similar way to ourselves, Crewe were also a decent side, but I would go for Newport who looked really decent against us.
Worst team played - Oldham, they just looked old and slow, we kept them at arms length for an hour...at which point they ran out of energy completely and our kids just moved up a gear. Scunthorpe looked like they had just come to batter us, two yellow cards inside the first ten minutes suggests as much, biggest mystery was why it took until time added on at the end of the game for one of their players to see red.
Best opposition player - Padraig Amond a player who I have admired for years, we did gift him a goal when we played Newport but he was a class above. Someone else mentioned Perry Ng, another fine player.
Best goal - Not necessarily the best finish but Joe Mills's second on Saturday against Swindon probably had the most riding on it, had we lost I could have seen our season petering out but coming from two down to draw with the league leaders may well give us the impetus to make this season at least as successful as the last one.
Best opposition support - Swindon, maybe that is because they are the most recent in my memory and they did make a bit of noise, or that there were undoubtedly loads of them mixed in with the home supporters and they behaved themselves. Respect for the Cumbrians who traveled down in numbers for the cup game.
Worst opposition support - Can't remember anyone...which is probably the point if they were that bad.
