Since most teams have now played the majority of the teams in their division, I thought it would be interesting to see who people think were the best/worst teams they have played so far.

Since I'm an exiled fan who has seen most away games but only two home games, I'm going to go with my Dad's decision because he's gone to every game so far.

Best - Cheltenham
Worst - Altrincham

Best - Cheltenham
Worst - Toss-up between Torquay and Guiseley. The former may just shade it.

Best gateshead..

Worst Alty yesterday

Both times we've played Cheltenham they've looked okay but nothing special that's exactly why we've come back from behind 3 times against them

Best would have to be Macc yesterday and despite their cries of poverty every year, season after season they put together a decent side who play good football. Cheltenham beat us on TV but we should have been out of sight in that game by half-time and I wasn't impressed with them, their goalie kept them in the match.

Worst would be any of the lower sides we've smashed at home, probably Aldershot. Real gash when we played them back in August.

From the random games I've seen Welling shade Kidderminster as the worst team. Grimsby are probably the best, although Forest Green were the most organised.

Yeah Aldershot were abysmal in that game in August and Macclesfield managed to impress in appalling conditions yesterday.

A difficult one to assess with any true meaning as every team has developed and changed personnel over the course of the season, players in/out at every club and management at a third? We all play differently depending on the opposition too with varying degrees of success. I can't say any team has stood out as being poor against us but some have stood out as being very good. Maybe that says more about us and our learning curve? We are certainly improving with every game experience.

Best - Cheltenham
Worst - Welling/Barrow

Best - Didn't see Cheltenham and it may well have been them but best I've seen probably actually Wrexham. Plenty of great attacking options who always looked threatening coming forward. Defensively they made some mistakes but that was as much the pitch as anything and injuries probably didn't help (Manny Smith much better CB than RB). And in Rhys Taylor they have one of the best keepers in the league.

Worst - Boreham Wood. One of the worst sides I've seen in years as they did absolutely nothing with the ball. 0-0 at home to them was abysmal.

From the games I've seen Cheltenham have been the best and the worst would have to be Wrexham, absolute garbage at our place though they are clearly a better side than that.

Best Lincoln City, I though Cheltenham were ok, but they only got a point at ours through a dreadful GK error.
Worst Kidderminster, probably because they're the only team that we've beaten by more than 1 goal. Wrexham were poor, but because of our profligacy in front of goal they could have grabbed a point in the end.

Best - Cheltenham - Nothing majorly special but looked a solid, well organised side, with some sharp movement up front.
Thought we were fortunate to end FGR's unbeaten run although I'm surprised that they didn't recover too well from that defeat. They should have the resources to push on in January.

Worst - Halifax - Absolutely awful in our 3-0 win at their place, during a time when we were pretty dire ourselves. Can't have too many complaints about the new guy's first couple of games in charge though.

Best- I'd agree with Master D. Macclesfield looked decent in atrocious conditions, and in Dennis they've got the best player I've seen this season.

Worst- Aldershot offered nothing whatsoever at our place. Torquay (under cox) tried but were desperately short of any quality.

Best teams I would say Braintree, FGR/Grimsby and Wrexham also decent enough.

Worst teams Southport or Guiesley.

Based solely on home games seen (missed FGR):

Best would be Braintree, they were excellent that day. Grimsby looked good for long periods of their game.

I wouldn't say there is a "worst", but I've seen a couple we made look better than they perhaps are in Torquay and Kidderminster, and a couple of very disappointing sorts in Tranmere and Barrow.

Of the thirteen games I've been to so far this season (most of the home games + away at Gateshead, Macc, Tranmere)

Best - probably Forest Green. Honorable mention to Stourbridge who beat us more comfortably and more comprehensively than anyone else this season.

Worst - either Southport or Woking. I've got no idea how we managed to lose to Southport and, well, Woking's the only game I've seen us win having been away for the Aldershot game.

From the games I've seen (all but two home and only FGR away and Grimsby on TV)

Best - Eastleigh - Only team I think genuinely had a right to feel aggrieved against us. They absolutely battered us in the second half and I came away chuffed to bits with a point.

Worst - Southport - 3-0 flattered them.

No team has properly stood out to me as the best from what i have seen, although second half Cheltenham were very good so i guess i would plump for them.
Although best performance against us sounded like Wrexham, apparently they murdered us but we snook away with a 0 - 0, but as i wasn't there that is just going off hearsay.
Worst would be Halifax although looks like they are improving now.
A few have mentioned Southport, i went there when we beat them 4 - 0 but they actually played some really good football that day, we just pretty much scored every chance that we had, so i expect them to have enough to stay up.

Yeah, I'd say we were the better side against Grimsby and unlucky not to win it with Gray's perfectly decent looking goal ruled out for offside. We were unlucky in the Cheltenham game too. Their defender stopping a Wes York goal with his hand. A certain penalty and sending off if the ref had seen it. We were the better side in that game for a good 50 or 60 minutes.

Our bits of good fortune have tended to fall in games against teams lower down the league such as Woking away where they were denied a clear penalty late on. The stats indicating that we don't perform against the top teams in the division and generally shit on the weaker sides are actually slightly misleading.

Best; Eastleigh. Good side and played some good stuff.
Not going to engage with who should have won etc etc. Take your chances and you win !, Defending is as much a part of the game as scoring goals.
Worst ;Guiesley although loath to knock any club that's manages to progress with limited resources.
Really beginning to fancy our chances, we're getting experience into our youngsters and will improve. Think FGR have played their best and still didn't beat us.

Harrogate have been the best side I have seen in the Conference North by far this season.

Worst? Could be a whole host of sides. But Gainsborough were particularly shite when they visited us in September

I quite liked the look of Barrow in the only game I've seen of them, which was also away, obviously. However van den Broek is only trumped by Dagenham's Pask for the 'How the fuck is he a footballer' award.

I've seen all home games and about half a dozen away.

Best team were Macclesfield, (although I understand Wrexham were decent when we played there). Worst either Halifax or Boreham Wood.

Best. Woking looked very good against us, as did Macclesfield.

Worst. Kiddy were pretty dire, but pound for pound Grimsby looked very average, all that money spent and still toothless.
