If Reece James carries on the way he’s started his career, then he should go on to be a first team regular for Chelsea (and England) providing he doesn’t get fu**ed around in the same way Tammy Abraham has been. Scary to think he’s only 18 and a month into his first year of professional men’s football. Take away Powell and he’s been our best player. Got the lot, defence, attack, strength, pace, crossing, everything.

Watkins seems like such a pointless signing. Not gonna judge Hunt on one game but he had a shocker for sure.

I think Hunt is decent for the money we paid for him, middle level RB for the division.

Did you go to Swansea then where he was also excellent?

Kelly was good again. Watkins worst player on the pitch though he brightened up a bit after his goal, which was an outstanding team effort.

I don’t like the corporate feel to Ashton Gate either but nowt can beat a top away following as was the case at Swansea. Perhaps you should try Brentford Charlie as it’s always a cracking day there.

The signing of Oliver Norwood is already a contender to being one of our best signings in many years.

We use him in a defensive midfield quarterback role taking the ball off the defence.
He sets the tempo of matches, very comfortable on the ball and great decision making, knows when to play simple short passes and when to play adventurous long passes. Very consistent and hardly ever loses the ball.

Another massive bonus is that Norwood is excellent with dead balls. He takes a great corner and freekick, this is something we were really poor at last season when we used to have loads of corners but never ever look like scoring.

Norwood has played 4 matches for us and been man of the match contender in all 4 matches. The other midfielders seem to have also raised their game 20% because they have a team mate who always shows for the ball who they can pass to even when semi marked up.

Keep thinking maybe it’s a fluke and Norwoods standards will drop sooner or later but at the moment his style of play suits our team style perfectly and he looks a real footballer.
